Freshly made to order submarine sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goodies such as biscuits and sausage gravy, made from scratch cookies and made-from-scratch bierocks! Proudly serving the Manhattan, Kansas community since 1983, a local favorite you're sure to come back to, we are the "home of the kitchen sink", the sandwich made with everything but the kitchen sink!…

Growing up, my high school had 'open lunches.' A popular place to go was 'The Little Store.' It was just a convenience store for the community. The owner ran a deli on the side. I stepped back into my childhood eating lunch at Subs-N-Such.
Sure, it looks like a gas station, but grabbing the Italian, and hanging out on the wooden picnic table made for a nice lunch between baseball games.

Excellent little local sandwich shop tucked inside a convenience store; it's the best cold sandwich in town if you ask me.

Pro-tip: Get the signature Kitchen Sink sandwich on white bread with all the regulars (regular toppings as defined on the menu). Maybe also add black olives, pickles, and oregano. You won't regret it.

Simple, tasty sandwiches made pretty quick, right across the street from campus. One of the few places in the area that does pastrami, as well, and it's a good peppery pastrami.

Super convenient having it in the convenience store, too- the one thing I'd say is the drink prices are a bit high, but being attached to the convenience store means you can just get a soda at that side of things with no problems.

I've eaten here many times over the years and spent a lot of hard earned money here. Consistency is lacking big time. Sometimes your sandwich is fresh, other times you can tell you just ordered the left overs from yesterday. The bread is either fresh or a brick. Their customer service is either wonderful or horrendous.

I have torn up their menu in my home and will not be eating here again. The male owner lacks self control and is an embarrassment to the business. In the restaurant business if you wish to get by you have to rely on several things one of which is word of mouth. I can promise you my mouth has a long reach and I don't have anything nice to say about this place.

Students, you don't have to put up with horrible customer service just because this place happens to be close to your dorm. There are several alternatives in town that will deliver and do it for less money.

This is your standard sub sandwich place. The nice thing is its right off campus so its easy to get to.

When I was last there, expect to spend around $6 for a sandwich.

Each time we went here, I hoped the previous time was just a rare crappy experience. The bread is often dry and it falls apart so easily that you should eat it over a plate so you can eat the sandwich as a salad. The condiments are lacking too and the good stuff costs extra. They could have done amazing things and had lots of customers because the bio and agriculture departments are right there, but they didn't. Happy the location will become a coffeehouse.

Honestly this place isn't that special or differentiate itself from other sub places. You can find better at your local chain subway or quiznos.

I've eaten there many times and I've always found the food to be fantastic! You get a lot for the money, that's for sure. Not sure where the reviewer (Dan T.) gets off saying the owner is an embarrassment. NEVER had that experience and I've probably eaten there 50 times.

Love these sandwiches! They're always made with fresh ingredients and they're always delicious. It's awesome that you can get a sandwich in so many different sizes, unlike most sandwich shops that only offer two sizes.
