Steady Tattoo and Body Piercing

Called day of to see if I could get in for a piercing. Alex was super informative and helpful on the phone, and did a lot to accommodate how sensitive I've been to piercings in the past. They set me up with jewelry that I feel confident won't bother my skin, and they were SUPER efficient with the piercing. The shop itself is clean and very cute, they've got some really fun jewelry too. Excited to go back in 5 months to get my stud swapped out for a ring!

Alright, this place is phenomenal. I was in yesterday with my friend as she was getting her lip pierced, and it was such top notch. From the vibe, to the people, and the quality of the piercing from what I observed. I literally downloaded this app to give a personal shoutout to my friend's piercer Alex! HE DID A STUPENDOUS JOB. The whole experience was just awesome. He talked her through it patiently, made sure the jewelry fit right, and everything was super sanitary. Just from that simple experience of being there, I know where I'm going to get my next piercing!!!! Again, SUPER AWESOME!! ALEX ROCKS AND SO DOES THIS PLACE!!

It was later on a Sunday evening and this shop was close by and open making it the perfect place to pop in for a spontaneous piercing. I called beforehand to make sure they weren't too busy and showed up shortly after. The first thing I noticed is that the shop is very clean and cool. Some tattoo/piercing places are scary and in your face but I really liked the feel and style.

My friend and I waited in the main lobby area for awhile before anyone greeted us or let us know they'd be with us. It was probably 15 minutes before the guy behind the counter asked what he could do for me. I explained I wanted an antitragus piercing and he got me all ready to go pretty quickly.

My actual piercer was Selina Ryan and she is awesome. She was profesional, sweet, and patient with me when I wanted to move the piercing placement. She knows what she's doing and gave me all my aftercare supplies and information. She also changed out another piece of jewelry. The actual piercing was painless and she had me breathe throughout the process to shift my focus.

Overall my only complaint was the pace of service from the front desk guy. Selina really made up for it though. I trust this shop and will definitely come back in the future.

Got my helix re-pierced at Steady and they made it easy and were super professional. Selina was so patient and friendly and wanted to make sure I was comfortable and informed. The room seemed clean and sanitized. They were great about COVID precautions too. I already want to go back to them for another piercing!

I was a walk-in and the employees were super welcoming and were very good on getting me in quickly! They were extremely trustworthy and made me feel comfortable. I got inked by Jerome- he was very kind and his station looked very clean and sanitary. My tattoo ended up exactly how I envisioned! I totally recommend this place!

Came to steady last week to get a triple flat/helix piercing from Selina. Everything is super clean & I felt very good about my choice. Selina was amazing. She had such a gentle & of course steady hand. She made me feel at ease and I knew I had made the right decision coming to get stabbed by Selina!!!!I can't wait to go back for more work from Selina Ryan !!!

I got two sets of earlobe piercings at Steady. Each time the person at the register made me sign a document saying someone explained to me that everything was properly sanitized, even though no one had had this conversation with me.

Fast forward to a week or two after I got my second set of earlobe piercings-- my skin was started to grow over the ring. At first I thought it was a blood blister and planned on persisting through the pain. Eventually I had to go to another piercer, who informed me that I'll probably need to seek medical and attention and that I will have a noticeable scar. He removed the hoop for free and explained that for new piercings, it's best practice for professionals to recommend studs to avoid the situation I'm currently in. He also said piercers are moving away from the full ear-soak piercing aftercare method that Steady instructed me to follow.

Steady was insanely expensive and led to the worst piercing experience of my life. My ear is deformed and I'm struggling to cope emotionally.

Super clean, professional, courteous, and communicative. I called for a nose repiercing and they had a wait list. They called back a week later and got me in right away. Appointment started right on time and they had me out in 15 minutes. Highly recommended!

This review is especially for Selina Ryan who is the piercer at Steady Tattoo. It is not often that you see people so committed to the work that they do and making their clients feel special and taken care of.

I had gotten my nose pierced with Selina and unfortunately after a good month of healing I started experiencing hypertrophic scarring (which is basically the skin producing excessive collagen ) and resulted in an ugly bump around my piercing. I have been visiting Selina since then and she has been so helpful giving me various tips and tricks to help me bring the bump down and heal without scarring. Has my bump completely gone? No, its a work in progress but having someone like Selina to work with has really made me worry less about it and know it will eventually go away.

So if you are in Twin Cities and looking for a good person to get your piercing done, Selina it is!

Had a great experience last week. Did a walk in for a piercing on a Saturday afternoon- there was no wait and Selina was super helpful with what I wanted and offered to answer any questions. The studio is very clean and inviting and I was made super comfortable in the room. Quick and painless (for the most part ) the after care kit was great and super easy to follow. I had some follow up questions that I messaged Selina about and she was quick to respond and very kind and helpful. Looking forward to returning for future piercings!
