Unfortunately, we did not fully enter the lounge. From the inside, there was one person helping clients, and the lounge area was well lit, with many comfortable looking seats.
Written condition was due to ..possible denial due to business during peak hours.. but upon arrival they stated due to renovations they do not accept priority pass.. haha. Perhaps due to less space, this is possible.
Was looking forward to trying this lounge, but maybe next time!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 31, 20241 check-in
Quite possible the nicest executive lounge I've ever been in.
It's in the newly renovated Terminal 1 and the lounge decor is understated in a chic way. There was an extensive buffet of food, drinks as well as multiple seating areas. It was peaceful and quiet. Lovely bathrooms and shower rooms.
Definitely recommend checking this lounge out if you can!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sfo B.San Francisco, CA1074737204Aug 2, 2023
The Star Alliance Lounge is well-maintained. Despite the occasional crowdedness near the entrance, there are quieter spits further inside, upstairs, and on the nice patio. The quality of food and drinks are on par with typical airline lounges in Europe.
The lounge is located in Terminal 1 before the 'secondary' security checkpoint, and one has to plan this in to get to the gate on time.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Mar 1, 2023
I loved this quite lounge. It's spacious, had either comfortable sofas or table if you want to eat or work on the computer. WiFi worked fast. The food was very good for a lounge. We were there in the morning, so it was breakfast pastries - obviously not as good as from a bakery, but overall good, baked beans, sausages, grilled cheese, fresh fruits and yogurt, coffee and tea. Everything that you need. Please note that this lounge is after passport control and before security check. Even though everywhere is written it's in the 11th level, it's actually on the 10th floor.

The Star alliance lounge at CDG very crowded as all airlines use it. Hard to find seats together when traveling with a small group.

Decent food! Lots of space to lounge out at and there's a small outdoor patio. Their servers are really nice and accommodating.

The drink selection seems to be steadily decreasing. On our latest visit there was no tomato juice, no sparkling wine, and no gin. Can be rather crowded at times. Overall basically ok, but I've preferred the Air Canada lounge when I've had access to that.

This lounge is one of the nicer ones.
Ample space
A FULL meal depending on what time you come
We were there mid day so they had ( vegetable curry, some sort of chicken dish, rice and a few sides)
They had of course cheeses and meats and breads and desserts.
But the business lounge upstairs was the REAL winner!
They had speciality desserts like mini beignets which were WOOOOOOW so good!
It was very quiet and most of all EMPTY! They had a whole full meal in the business part and no one was eating it! Insert myself !! Haha
I really enjoyed this lounge!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 622260767Apr 25, 2019
What a great lounge! I highly recommend this if you're coming through terminal 1 at CDG. It's located after passport control (where you get the cool stamp) but before security. There are signs so just follow those to the Salon/Lounge! You'll take an elevator up. If you have priority pass, I would go to this lounge over the Icare one.
Check in was easy and they accept the mobile priority pass. Lounge was relatively empty around 12 pm on a Thursday. They have an upper and lower level, and the selection of food and drinks is so great for my tastebuds, but so bad for my waistline. They had hot buffet items. When we first arrived, there was egg, pancakes, sausage. Later it was replaced by rice, curry, soup. They had cold items including a largeee selection of charcuteries and smoked salmon which I loved. There was salad and bread. Wine selection is obviously great (we in Paris after all) and the champagne was relatively good quality. They have desserts including meringues and a rasperry chocolate brownie to die for. Lounge is clean and seating is plentiful.
Bathrooms are clean, showers are plentiful and WiFi worked swell. Highly recommend! Just make sure to leave yourself enough time to go through security. I'd go at least an hour before flight departure time, probably 1.5 hours to be safe.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Sep 1, 2018
Unfortunately United does not have a lounge at CDG. The Star Alliance Lounge is available for first and business class travelers and those with Star Alliance gold & above status.
We had an early flight from CDG so no chance to get coffee or a bite to eat before we left for the airport. The Star Alliance Lounge was our only "free" option.
It's located just past passport control which is a shame because I like to fill up my water bottle with tea or water. No such luck this time because security is AFTER the lounges and before gates.
The lounge is on the 11th floor in Terminal 1. It's easy to get in but you then have to go downstairs to the lounge. Strange layout if you ask me.
There were lots of seats when we arrived around 6:30am. Restrooms and shower facilities were also available. They were clean but smelled strangely minty.
The food options consisted of breads, muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, jamon, and a wierd baked pomme. Drinks were coffee, water, OJ, and some other drinks in cans. Alcohol is self serve.
Getting back to departure is easier as you exit out a door marked departures towards the back of the lounge near the food.
The SAL at CDG isn't my favorite lounge but it's ok for what you get.Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 21Oh no 0 - Nov 20, 2018
It's hard to give any priority pass lounges a bad review, but Star Alliance just missed a few minor details to rob it of a 5-star review.
From a 20 thousand view, Star Alliance hits all the right notes: free alcohol, really expansive breakfast selection (with very nice and generous portions of smoked salmon, croissant -butter/chocolate, cheese and soup), coffee/espresso. Unfortunately, the bread selection was very stale and the internet kept on flickering out, which was my biggest gripe. I do like the large number of restrooms as well as the multiple shower rooms. The service was frequent despite the high volume and I never felt left out. If they are able to fix the internet issue, this would be a 5-star retreat from the airport grind.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
