Sourdough and Co - Pleasant Hill

My wife and I had our first taste of Sourdough & Co tonight. Ordered online for home delivery. I had the #14, The Italian. My wife had the Caprese. The order was delivered very quickly and the sandwiches were prepared as ordered and very good. Love the sourdough!! Great crunch! We have been looking for a new place that can make tasty sandwiches. I think we found it.

This was a very expensive bad choice.

Ordered the #13 Garlic Pesto Turkey sandwich and for some reason all the toppings: lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles were coated in pesto aioli. making the sandwich inedible (unhealthy as well!). They really went crazy with it, I even double checked to make sure I didn't accidentally set it to extra (I didn't).

I've ordered here many times now and the sandwiches have been delicious and the customer service has been great! Really baffled how this sandwich out of an order of 2 came out so horrible.

The sandwich came damp with sauce. It was also not wrapped properly and was not cut in half (minor issue).

This really makes me hesitate to eat here in the future. Hope things improve.

Food was bland lettuce wilted, tomatoes mushy, onions mushy on both sandwiches. Will try another location if I decide to try again.

Ordered a french dip with extra au jus. By time I got back to the office a lot of the au jus was in the bag and not the container. Have ordered before without issue.
Please use a different container or tape or something to contain the juice. At least it was double bagged so it did not end up on the car or me.

First time trying this chain and it's a great alternative to the different chain sandwich shops. It's a heartier sandwich than subway, but lighter and a little more gourmet than Jersey Mike's or Togo's with choices like the French Dip or Cholula Chicken and higher quality bread. They also offer good soups to pair like a Chicken Poblano Soup and Clam Chowder. I tried the Cholula Chicken Sando with a cup of the chowder and completed the combo with a drink. Served on a Dutch crunch roll, the sandwich reminded me of one of Ike's specialty chicken sandwiches. Definitely pleased with the meal. Pricing on par with most of the sandwich shops nowadays. Very friendly and professional service and the inside has a gourmet market feel.

Ordered the Large #1 Ham Sandwich combo comes with Mac & cheese and a soda of your choice. Mac & Cheese tasted awful. The Macaroni noodles was bland and the cheese they used was not blended in right. It was so sloppy. Ham sandwich was pretty good but no different than a Jersey Mike's sub. Portions were big. The restaurant inside was very clean with kind employees. Would I return? Maybe if I'm already in the area to try the other sandwiches but would not re-order the Mac & Cheese again.

Sourdough & Co has really great sandwich selections, offering both cold and hot options. I had the smoke brisket and it was amazing. The lobby is clean and the staff are really nice and hardworking.Their customer service was really good we were greeted by a friendly hello and a great feeling environment. They had a smile the entire time and it was a very inviting atmosphere.Definitely would recommend!

If you want to watch your entire family grow old and have your life pass you by before they make you the simplest sandwich known to man, then order here. They take an extremely long time to make the simplest food there is. I could have walked to Safeway, bought turkey, cheese, sourdough, and some condiments, raised a family of four, and dug to the center of the earth before they finish with my sandwich. Like what are they doing back there? But in all seriousness, when they finally finish making the sandwich and hand it to you with all their might, it tastes pretty darn good. Go here if you have a solid 7 hour window of time to wait for a simple meal.
