At the end of April 2019 I was in the Midlothian area for a wedding. I ended up picking this hotel from my friends wedding registry and I guess I got some sort of deal on the place. Not much, but maybe 10 or 20 bucks off the normal price.
To my knowledge I haven't stayed at a Sleep Inn before now and I wanted to point out what a rock solid visit this was. To start I was arriving from Va Beach the same day as the wedding and I called before hitting the road and asked if I could check in an hour early. "No problem at all." I was told. I arrived just before 2pm and was able to check in immediately.
My second floor room was huge with a king sized bed, sofa, desk, coffee bar, refrigerator and the other normal amenities. The bathroom was also very nice with a modern layout and a very nice walk-in shower. I broke my computer out and did a little work. The WiFi was solid. A little tip. If you want a faster connection, watch the 30 commercial pushed to your browser when you initially connect. After an hour or so cleaned up and got ready for the wedding.
The wedding ended late and I arrived back at Sleep Inn between 11 and 11:30 PM. The parking lot was full. The place was super quiet. I didn't hear a mouse fart during the night and slept very well. No noise from the neighbors during the night or the morning. The king sized bed was super comfortable.
I woke up around 7am and went downstairs for the breakfast. Hot coffee was ready when I walked into the cafe and a buffet was lined up along the left wall that included just about anything you could think of. I enjoyed a plate of eggs, sausage patties, OJ and toast along with some fresh fruit. I took a banana with me when I left. Very solid breakfast indeed.
After packing and cleaning up I checked out just before 9am and had a great conversation with the person working the front desk at that time. The staff was super and it was a pleasure interacting with them.
This was an easy 5 star experience and I'd be happy to stay here again anytime. I'll definitely be considering a Sleep Inn during future travels if one is available.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jason S.Sterling, VA4911415Jun 15, 2018
I think they are a solid 2 1/2 star not a 3 star. There reviews below seem to be correct.
At check in the person at the desk was super nice.
The stay was short but during the stay experienced things like bugs crawling on the walls, a a/c unit I had to reset just to get the room from a sticky 77 to comfortable, bathroom wasn't really cleaned maybe just a quick whip.
A check out when pointed out the lady just dismissed my concerns and not another thing said not even an apology.
Not worth $135+ for the stay!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mighty D.VA, VA01Feb 2, 2022
My room was filthy and the manager was rude. I was accused of going there to steal breakfast...lol. I make $110k a year. Why would I go to a mold infested motel to eat stale corn flakes and fake eggs?! Insulting.

My daughter got married 8/25 at Pocahontas State Park and the Sleep Inn was the hotel she recommended for out of town quests. The hotel has just gone through some renovations and was very nice but what made the hotel memorable was Ryan from the front desk. He guaranteed everyone would have a room to get ready in even if their room wasn't ready.
I got to the hotel an hour and a half before check in. Not only was my room ready, but I was upgraded to a suite.
I would recommend the Sleep Inn to anyone staying in the area.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jorge H.Salt Lake City, UT92293Oct 20, 2018

Nice stay at this Hotel. It was a bit slow and not much of a Breakfast due to the Cov19 shutdown. The place was clean and well taken care of. The staff was friendly and following the health guidelines .

This hotel is still practically new. Nice decorated decor. Great room layouts. I did notice some hallway noise in the room, but not enough to bother me.
The breakfast includes pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, French toast, make your own waffles, coffee, milk, apple juice, and orange juice. It is definitely a nice breakfast to start the day and a great value for the nightly rate.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kiya D.Middlesex, NJ0422May 26, 2017
My grandfather stayed here today and I called the hotel asking them to connect me to his room (I did not ask for the room number) I was told they can not connect me because I don't know the room number then I asked of they can give him a message and I was told only if he stopped by the front desk would he get it. What kind of back woods hotel is this? My grandfather is 82 years old. I was checking on his safety not stalking him. If I could give zero stars I would

I received very poor service from this hotel. The man behind the desk named Ajay P. Was very rude and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. When I had called and confirmed my room the day of booking a woman informed me that I could pay in cash n not by card n that there would be no hold. She was wrong according to Mr.P. so I ask him what could he do to help because I had drove a hour n a half to see my friend get married n needed a place to stay. After talking in circles n confusing himself n me. He then says "well you can stay at super 8" I was shocked that he would rather me spend my money else where then just trying to help me so I could stay here. So that's what i did. And super 8 is getting a 5 star rating because I informed them of the hassle Mr.P had gave me n they were nice enough to give me a discount.
