Shells Seafood Restaurant - North Tampa

This place was so yummy! I enjoyed every single second of this place. The food was delicious, the waiter was great, and I wish I lived closer. I got crab legs, and then my daughter decided that she wanted the crab legs so I switched my meal with her... I normally wouldn't do that, but I really liked her food and she didn't care for it. She got the kids meal shrimp pasta and I loved it! My only problem is it's too far away from where I live, LOL. Delicious food! And not too terribly pricy, either. I almost forgot, I got the clam chowder and it is to die for! My entire family shared one little cup, and I wish I would've gotten the ball. Lol!

Food and service was great! Loved the mandarin slaw! Chocolate cake was amazing! Definitely will return!

Kayla took exceptionally good care of us. She brought out peanuts (after being sure we had no nut allergies), and brought us our drinks quickly (plenty of cut up lemons in a cup for my water). She made sure our drinks stayed full. She took our orders with a smile, and delivered them to the table in record time.

Our fried shrimp was excellent - better than we remembered. It was fried to perfection, and very tasty. The red potatoes were just right - not mushy and not too much butter. The cole slaw was the best EVER! The mandarin orange slices gave it just the right sweetness, it was juicy, and it was perfection.

It's been awhile since we've been here & they spruced up the front. Looks really nice! The hostesses are friendly and efficient. The place is clean, the music is relaxing and not too loud, and the decor is classy. We have got to come back more often!

A little old fashion and slightly dirty. But the food has always been reliable. Service is a little slow depending on who your wait staff member is. We still go back every now and then.

My wife and I are both in the health and fitness industry and during competition times it's difficult to find enjoyable healthy food. David and Jason at shells along with the creativity of JC have created dishes that are spectacular without compromising health consciousness. The Salmon and crab dish is incredible and they have so many healthy alternatives like garlic asparagus and steamed vegitables covered with a special sauce. I highly recommend Shells to everyone, and the cost is so low it's hard to believe. Viva La Shells!!!! Best seafood in the Tampa Bay

Shells Seafood Restaurant North Tampa on Fowler Avenue is a great place to go for quality seafood when you are hungry. I really like the different menu items and especially the crab legs. Everything here is delicious and fresh and tastes good. The staff here provides excellent service and makes sure that you are well taken care of.

This was our first stop upon arriving to Tampa.. We had raw oysters, amazing crab cakes , fried mushrooms and rainbow trout which were all delicious., the snow crabs were not as good as the rest of the meal. We had the salted caramel cheesecake for dessert and it was so delicious we ended up going back the next two days. Our night in Tampa (my birthday ) we overslept and arrived 15 minutes before closing and the waitress tho hesitant at first allowed us to dine. Which made my day! Dinner was amazing! We had oysters, crab cakes & rainbow trout and of course caramel cheesecake for dessert!

Great service provided this evening by Sarah P. Food quality was up to par as usual and a good value for the money spent. My only complaint was the lobster sauce on my Salmon had way too much lemon in it for my tastes. We will return to this restaurant another time.
