This salon is fabulous! I love Lindsay and her color skills are awesome..... The owner Barbara and Kristen are as kind and caring as Lindsay is. It's a warm and welcoming environment which is relaxing and a nice oasis from life

Barbara and all of the talent at Shear Xtreme Salon are fabulous! I stick with Barbara, because that is who I started with, but would happily make an appointment with any of the employees. Now in Easthampton, MA, the salon is equally as convenient as the previous location, in downtown Northampton. Barbara is genuinely invested in the inner and outer beautiful of her clients, including their health and well-being. She is open to non-toxic, sustainable products and is also invested in connection and support of her surrounding community. I would follow her wherever she goes and highly recommend Shear Xtreme Salon!

I had a really great experience with Lindsey. She was super thoughtful about each move she made with my hair, and I was finally able to get a cut where I didn't feel like the stylist was too quick to cut my hair shorter than I wanted. She was also good at keeping up a conversation and asking interesting questions. Overall it felt like a very natural, comfortable process. The salon itself is small and cozy, and I'd definitely return.

I've been here a bunch of times and have had everything from my bangs trimmed to up-do's. Lindsey is my go-to gal, she's experienced and thoughtful and super cool. I highly recommend her and this salon. (PS, it's right by Herrel's ice cream so Treat Yo'self after getting your hair did all nice.)

My initial cut at this place was good... but my second time, I was shaved almost bald! It was one of the worst cuts I ever had. I don't know if it was just an off day or what, but I won't be going back again.

Walked in Saturday for a haircut with Diane. I was up in Mass for my cousins funeral and my hair was way overdue for a cut. I looked like Kramer from Seinfeld.

She was just lovely to talk too, and as a bonus I got a GREAT haircut.. Went back home and got at least half a dozen positive comments at work.

I might just have to drive back up in 5 weeks for another makeover. :)

Barbara is an amazing stylist period. My wife and I've been going to her for quite a while now. Always an enjoyable experience and I always leave feeling great. I Would highly recommend going here if you're looking for an awesome style and a freindly atmosphere.
