Update: I do not want to speak with the owner. I have tried multiple times and she is always too busy with no resolution. Zero rating for this business.

This is by far the worst dry cleaner I've ever been to. They damage clothes left and right, lose buttons, and have terrible customer service. The owner is greedy , the manager is rude and incompetent, and the employees (save one who is lovely) are poorly trained and lack basic skills. Stay away!

The Shaffer's are extremely helpful and care about the items they are cleaning, because you care about the items you want cleaned. I have a backpack I have had for 15 years, I took it on every trip I ever go on. Understandably, it was gross. I figured it a lost cause, but they checked it out, took it for a little bit, did some kind of magic, and I got it back looking like the day I bought it. Thank you all so much at Shaffer, I will continue to recommend and take all my cleaning there.

Wonderful!! I use their wash and fold service regularly, as well as their dry cleaning and mending services. I have been very pleased with all three. Sarah is amazing--so friendly and customer service oriented!! I can't recommend Shaffer's enough!! THANK YOU!!

I too have had a negative experience with Sparkle. I did some research and found Shaffer Dry Cleaning on Tanque Verde so I decided to give them a try. I went inside to drop off my cleaning, which I could not do at the other place. The lady at the counter was very polite and helpful. She asked me if 2 days would be a good pick up time. I said that was fine. I received a text message letting me know that my clothes were ready. I went in, paid the bill, and picked up my clothes. The price was very reasonable too. I am very happy with the way my clothes turn out, and with the service offered at Shaffer. I will now take all my cleaning to Shaffer

Prepare to get SHAFted. No really, I had a terrible experience.

I showed up with limited amount of time on a Friday, needing a 3 piece suit done that day. Their outdoor sign stated same day until 11:00 AM. I had arrived right at 11:00 and they said it was no problem and took the suit and took down my information. After I had been gone for about 20-30 minutes running other errands on a lunch break, they informed me they could not honor the policy and have the suit done for same day. No explanation as to why..... at this point I no longer had time to bring the suit anywhere else on break to get the suit done for same day. The staff was barely apologetic, and just came across as uniformed and confused.

I would have paid more or brought the suit somewhere else if I had known they could not honor their commitments. Icing on the cake, about a week or so later as I drove past, their same outdoor "SAME DAY" advertising sign now stated until 12:00.

Now that is IRONY. (you know the opposite of wrinkly)

My complaint about my experience with Shaffer is on two levels - not only did their 'cleaning process' do some quite extensive damage to my vintage designer purse - but the way the manager/owner responded only added to my devastation.

I submitted my vintage Mulberry purse to have it cleaned (it honestly wasn't that grubby in the first place, but I wanted it to receive some love and care and have it returned to me even more gorgeous than it already was), and paid $50 upfront, and agreed to pay the remaining $50 when it was ready, in a month's time, after its 'professional' clean.

Imagine my devastation when I went to pick it up to see my beautiful bag with its cream leather stained like it had been put in a washing machine. The damage to my precious bag were beyond repair (not that they offered to repair this damage), the cream leather came back mottled and tan.

I was devastated and asked the (polite) sales assistant girl if I could speak with management about the damage that had been done to my bag. She went off to ask them and the answer came back "no, they were busy". I asked "too busy to speak to me about this?" and she said that it was Friday afternoon, and that they were "super busy".

My beautiful bag was ruined in the expectation that it was going to be treated with as much love as I had for it, and the manager/owner of Shaffer's attitude was atrocious. I asked for a refund and received an abrupt, adamant, "NO".

My advice: If you love your purse, don't get it cleaned at Shaffer.
