What a find!!! AWESOME!! 5 STARS!!! Even before I entered the restaurant I was looking for parking and was greeted by Castro the chef in the parking lot as I was trying park. Having never met me before, I was pleasantly surprised that he greeted me and said,"no worries, park behind his delivery van," which was right by the rear entrance.
I knew right away this person really understood customer service and could not wait to go inside.
We entered and the place had a great m suburban lunch vibe. They were busy with only one open table, customers were waiting for take out orders and they were well staffed. Every staff member worked to create an awesome experience.
Not one person was standing around, they were pro active, filling glasses, cleaning tables, checking on how customers were doing and how they liked the food. Genuine concern, not idle chit chat. I was blown away.
Really AWESOME food, service, prices, attitude, selection!!! They have everything you could want. Salads, juices, beverages, wraps, sandwiches, paninis, platters, breakfast dishes, lunch and brunch. The portions are large and well presented. Besides the great taste and flavor, everything is freshly made with love.
We had a quick lunch, so many choices!! We had the rainbow pokey bowel which was salmon, tuna, quinoa, wasabi peas, avocado, carrots, seaweed salad, and a few other goodies, like the large radish slices in my photos.
We also had the shrimp fajita poke bowl which had mainly the same ingredients. Honestly the best poke bowels I have ever had. No wasted fillers, just natural, healthy ingredients in abundance.
Next time I would love to have the Nutella crepes, the sweet potato fries and desert.
I live in Brooklyn and will definitely make a trip on the weekend to experience their brunch. I cannot say enough great things about Seymour's Cafe and as a Yelp Elite member, i would highly recommend them.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 2024
I will dare to say: The BEST brunch in New Jersey!
My best friend and I googled nearby brunch locations after attending a fundraiser. Seymour's Cafe was the first to come up. We are so glad we found this gem.
Upon entering, we were instantly greeted by the Hostess, Nicole. There was a wait to be seated. Nicole suggested we look at the menu and order so that our food would arrive at the table with us.
We ended up being seated rather quickly and we had the blessing of having Nicole take care of us for the remainder of our stay. Nicole made several suggestions when ordering which greatly enhanced our meals.
I ordered the avocado toast platter with feta (comes with two fried eggs). I was able to substitute French fries for the home fries due to my allergy to onion. I also ordered the fresh squeezed pineapple juice.
Our food was absolutely delectable. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the avocado had just the right amount of seasoning. The multigrain bread was light and tasty, without that cardboard taste - just as Nicole stated. The pineapple juice was a ray of sunshine in a cup.
The food was fresh, well prepared and impeccably presented. I'd still come come back to see Nicole, alone!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 0180501Jul 23, 2023
Found Seymour's cafe on Yelp as always. Not v fancy but rustic n nice w outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Walked in and was seated right away.
Long menu w lots of choices. Was very hard to pick what we wanted. Had the shrimp avocado toast, steak omelette n tuna melt. The avocado toast n omelette came w home fries. Generous portions n delicious. The avocado toast had pics de gallo n had a spicy kick to it. We enjoyed our Sunday brunch. Tx u Seymour's cafe.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - jim m.Whippany, NJ291276352Dec 10, 2023
I love this local place. Their salads are great but for breakfast/brunch I had a short rib omelette, which was delicious. It came with home fries, whole wheat toast it was just delicious. Nicole was also so friendly so amazing and said what delicious items are you going to order? It's just such a nice way to serve your clients delicious delicious delicious

Nutella stuffed french toast, that's all you need to know. This place is excellent, food is great+ service is great. Super elevated coffee sandwich shop with extensive fresh menu. I see all
Employees working hard with the semi-open kitchen. Love the fresh juices. Wonderful placeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 31, 2022Updated review
This place never disappoints. The omelette was not oily at all. I opted for hash browns instead of home fries and no bread. I got a ham omelette no cheese. And a decaf coffee with cream. I added flavor syrup myself. Coffee is very good too. And they open nice and early, even on a Sunday, unlike another place in Livingston. If in
Livingston you need to go here. I can't be more satisfied with the food and staff here. My meal was brought to me quickly too. If you get here early, you get your food quickly. As it gets later, they get very busy. Lots of phone orders too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 19, 2022Previous reviewThis place has grown on me. The food is always fresh and you can taste it. It takes time to get to you because it's fresh. Everything is made to order. I had previously purchased only breakfast items but today opted for a lunch sandwich. I got the Grilled Chicken, Natural Wood Smoked Bacon, Fresh Avocado, Swiss, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, And On Sub Roll. I chose macaroni salad on the side. The portion was huge and I had to take half of it home. I also ordered their coffee. I always live their coffee. If you're in Livingston this is the local small business to visit. Always fresh. Always friendly. The owner is always on the premises too to make sure you enjoy your meal. They have a food truck in Madison and will be opening another cafe in Montville soon.
Nov 19, 2021Previous reviewAnother local business I've been passing and decided to give them a try. I opted for dine in with table service. The coffee was strong but good and in a huge mug with unlimited refills. After I ordered my breakfast sandwich, it took a long time to get it. The muffin I received almost immediately. The muffin tasted very good. The sandwich was very good. And it contained plenty of well done Taylor ham. A major downside was after I was done the bus boy was directed over to my table to clean it before I even paid. And if you pay by Apple Pay or credit card, they charge a 3.9% fee. I'm glad I had cash on me. Because of the pandemic, I prefer to use Apple Pay since there's less contact and it's will my phone. The owner did give me the thumbs up when I left though. I told him I tried their Madison truck but that's another review. The food is very good and I will try them again. The bus boy cleaning my table before I paid and the long wait to get my food cost two stars. Not all the tables were filled, so I don't understand the wait to get my food.

I had this spot on the list for a while and finally got the chance to try it. I ordered my food online and when I arrived I parked nearby. I picked up my salmon wrap and peanut butter and banana smoothie along with a brownie. The prices were ok, expensive for a smoothie though. I paid and left. When I dug in the wrap was ok but it tasted better with the chipotle sauce. The brownie was so soft and tasty. The peanut butter and banana smoothie was good. All in all I had a good experience.

Four people ate for $85 including tip. The eggs Benedict where really good. The pancakes were light and fluffy.
Seymour's offers an interesting menu of more upscale cafe items...lots of avocado toasts and multigrain type options.
The staff was very polite and friendly.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jasmin H.Bayonne, NJ11917Apr 29, 2023
The food not good, my eggs lacked any quality taste to it, the French toast and pancakes were just ok. My turkey bacon was burnt. I asked for wheat bread and they put a bagel with butter (charged me extra for it .75cent). The food took 45 minutes to come and I never got any water. I would avoid it especially if you have small children. The wait will make them upset.
