Pros:
*Big parking lot:
Lots of parking and the place is not too busy so parking should never be a problem.
*Haircut:
Clean and efficient. The barber used mainly scissors to cut the top of my hair and did a really great job on my fade.
*Price:
$15 for standard haircut, $13 for seniors and kids under 13(?)
Cons:
*No appointments:
Walk-ins. I called in ahead of time to make sure there wasn't a long wait.
*Language barrier:
He speaks some English, but mainly Korean.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ian John A.Winnetka, CA427Apr 22, 2023
Old school barbershop! For the type of hair that I do. He made it good - just like my old barbershop in the Philippines. Made it clean and neat specially on the edges. First time I've been here and definitely will be back - too bad I only found this place recently. Very nice guy!

Good if you want a basic cut. Not good if you want a certain style. I asked him to cut my hair a certain way and he said that's just the way my hair falls. I just took the cut and left. Will only come back if no one else is available.

Tried this place for the first time, told him what I wanted and didn't even come close to what I asked for.
Showed him a picture of the hair style I wanted where it's long on top and he literally just chopped off everything. It wasn't even clean at all. See for yourself if it even comes close.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 1 - Ranier O.Los Angeles, CA357073Jun 19, 2018
Really nice guy, but not anywhere what I wanted. I wanted a faux hawk and he basically just shaved my head with clippers. So avoid unless the haircut you need basically requires only clippers and no scissors.
The barber knows Korean but limited English so it was hard to communicate and he said he understood and continued on. Plus side: at least its clean after messing up so not butchered ....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 28, 2009First to Review
I have been going to Sports Cut for years. (Oscar, my favorite barber, keeps moving around and I can't find him.) They are fine, but I just don't really like the direction of the barbershop. It is too loud and too many people and they seem to cater to certain people. I'm not interested in getting into that barbershop underground culture, so I started looking for a new place.
I had tried Tofu Village a few weeks ago. I liked it and noticed a barber shop tucked next to a beauty shop in the same plaza. (FYI-EVERYTHING in the shopping center is "Seoul." Very strange.)
The barber shop is long and narrow. There were four chairs, a long sofa, a futon sofa and the Animal Planet channel playing on the TV. A guy was just paying for his haircut, another was just sitting down, so I sat down on the leather couch and started updating my Facebook status. (Yeah, kinda sad, right?)
Within 10 minutes, the barber was done and brought me up. His English was accented (broken? Don't know. He didn't say more than 5 words the whole time I was there. I appreciate that. I'm not there to socialize.) I told him how I wanted my hair and he got to work. He only used the clippers a little. The rest of the haircut was all scissor work. Amazing! Periodically, he'd stop and wipe off his scissors and clean his comb. Mind you, the place is spotless. He quickly cut my hair down, then asked, "you want cut mustache?" I said, "yes." In the past, that usually means the barber shoves the comb up my nose and pokes the bottom part of my nose. This guy was super gentle. I didn't even feel the comb near my nose. He used a vacuum cleaner to pick up hair off my head and neck. It was an odd sensation, but effective. Now, hours later, I'm I don't feel any stray hairs poking me.
The counter is sky blue laminate. It is actually pretty ugly, but clear of clutter and clean.
This is the kind of barber shop that I like. Keep up the work, keep down the chatter. I'm sure they cater to a mainly Korean clientele, but I still got great service.
UPDATE: 2nd time I went in, I didn't have to even say anything and he started cutting my hair exactly how I like it. 3rd time, same thing. I'm a fan and may give up on Oscar.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jason V.Gardena, CA01Jan 2, 2020
Good skills but very nasty attitude. Prioritize watching the TV over giving you a good cuts.

Definitely five stars! I'll be back. Small barber shop, but he knows how to cut hair. That is all that matters. Friendly and fast also even though that isn't much if a deal for me for haircut.
