This place is nestled close to the border of US / Canada. A perfect place for a quick weekend geyser. A bit pricey but with all the amenities they have to offer is definitely worth it.
You can go on bike, go swim, take a stroll to go bird watching, and so much more.
The rooms are a bit outdated but clean. The views are majestic and the restaurant offers great selection and also scrumptious.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael G.Seattle, WA1275914Mar 24, 2023
I view it to be a very poorly managed club, significantly lacking the class and quality of other private clubs I have been a member of. They seem to lack the ability to perform effective member and customer service. Service quality is very inconsistent and has been repetitively poor from multiple perspectives. Sometimes, it has been terrible. It seems to stem from a lack of proper leadership that flows all the way to the top of the club management. They show a complete disregard for the voice of members from what I have seen demonstrated. They also can be very poor in client relations and communications, again flowing all the way to the top. Customer and member service mindset is too often absent. The golf course is very beautiful but most other aspects of the facilities are not at the same level. How the property is managed and operated is shocking to me.

I played Semiahmoo for the first time today... It was great! I love the undulation and rolling hills matched with the beautiful views of Mount Baker on the front nine... I almost made a hole-in-one on hole number 12 I think it was... The little par three.
The staff was very very accommodating and allowed me to borrow a driver from the pro shop on the back nine since mine got a hairline crack on the seventh hole.
I got the combo deal since we were staying at the resort and can also say that the Great blue heron grill is also five star food quality.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 12, 2017
Stopped in for a range day. Purchased the $15 unlimited day pass and hit about 400 balls that day. Nice practice area too, but it was a major bummer that I had to hit off astroturf mats. I was really looking forward to a grass range, but the stars weren't aligned for me. Hopefully, next time I come back the grass tees will be open!

Played yesterday - made for a great day
Course is in great shape
Booked the round through golfnow.com and only paid $50.00 for the round. No cart but still a hell of a deal as the course is fairly easy to walk
Would play the course again in a heartbeatHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ernest J.Vancouver, Canada324801561Jan 19, 2015
A friend managed to get us a Hot Deal on Golf Now... With his credits and with the hot deal we played 18 holes on a resort quality golf course for an amazing $5 US each! Super Cheap!!!
Today was an American holiday Martian Luther Day... I was surprised the course was not busier. Our tee time was for 1220 but we arrived a bit early and we were able to walk on to Semiahmoo Golf Course at 1145..
I probably play this golf course 8 to 10 times a year so I know it well. Playing in January is very different from playing here in June. The course today was a bit mushy! Soft and wet fairways makes for wet and cold feet. Still it is January so if one takes that fact into consideration the conditions were certainly acceptable. The greens rolled fair and true! I couldn't make a putt to save my life today, but as I always say the worst day golfing is better than the best day working!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Robert C.CA, CA51522Oct 8, 2020Updated review
What a great course. We are thankful for the membership who allow public access to the golf course because of this virus. We have played three days in a row and have found the course in great shape and the folks providing service doing everything to make your experience better than you would expect. Thanks again.

What a fantastic course. I had the opportunity to play it for a few years. Great staff and people. The reason for the low rating, is turning the resort totally private/resort only I. 2018 last year which is such a shame. This gem should be for all to enjoy again.

This is a nice course, a very nice course even. However, to me it is a bit unremarkable. Don't get me wrong, it is a very well manicured course with a nice clubhouse, practice facility and staff. The course winds through a bunch of homes and is pretty. The pace of play is usually pretty good and overall there is very little to complain about.
But despite it being nice the course is not memorable. Nothing about it really sticks in your head after the round. It doesn't really have a signature hole. I have played worse courses but with more character. Point Roberts Golf Course is one example that comes to mind. The conditioning there is nowhere near the level of Semiahmoo and yet it is more fun to play because it is unique (not just due to location).
The other half of this resort Loomis Trail is far more unique with real character that stands out against your average course.
I know this all seems a bit negative for a 4-star review but there is really nothing wrong here. Its just a good course that is a nice tour of real estate.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
