Salon Rules

Asked Siri for a salon near my home and found Salon Rules. I dropped by on the off chance there was an opening.

Everyone was booked, but left with an appointment to see Katie in a couple days. That was cool.

SR is small, modern, good music, friendly - nice vibe.

The short story: Katie gave great service, great haircut and is reasonably priced. Highly recommend Katie and Salon Rules.

Agnes is professional, caring, kind and especially understanding with my needs.

Called out of the blue to see if I could come in and get my hair done the same day, and it was possible! The owner Agnes transformed my hair effortlessly and efficiently. It was all-in-all a great welcoming experience as well, which is difficult to come by at some establishments. I felt comfortable and welcomed and I appreciate the energy there. I have pretty thick and poofy hair, and it seemed to be not a problem for her, if your hair is the same I would recommend trying Salon Rules for a new look. I started off with brown hair coming in, and I am getting married in December so I want to start getting more blonde, but everywhere I called was fully booked for weeks, which I am too impatient for lol. Luckily I got in here yesterday, I love my new look! Totally transformed my confidence.

If I could give more stars, I would. Agnes is amazing and incredibly talented. After years of using box colors on my hair, it was a mess. My hair is dark brown but I had it at nearly black, but not intentionally. It was dull, boring and lacking any dimension. Agnes worked her magic and I love the results! She foiled it to give me beautiful highlights. On a previous appointment she gave me a perfect haircut. On top of being an amazing cosmetologist, she is a super nice person. What more could you ask for?

I'm new to the area and discovered her by reading Yelp reviews. I thought I should add a review to help others find this gem. I've had three appointments with her so far and I will be a faithful customer forever. You don't need to look anymore because you will not be disappointed when you choose Agnes.

Agnes is a true artist when it comes to color, she knows what she is doing and the end result is beautiful!

Jewel is absolutely fantastic! She is so adorable and she is the sweetest. I showed her a picture of the balayage I wanted and she did exactly what I showed her :) I never really do anything to my hair, so when I got my balayage the first time, I loved it, but I wanted it a little lighter for more of a dramatic change. Jewel was so helpful and I went back in again about a week later and she made my hair a little lighter and I am so in love with it now! I also appreciate her wearing her mask during our appointment :) Jewel is my new salon gal! Everyone go to Jewel!

Loved my haircut! Agnes is super talented at what she does, I've never been so happy with my hair before!

After decades of having my hair done at the big name salon at the mall, I was ready for a change. I'm pleased to report that Agnes at Salon Rules gave me the best hair cut and foil highlights that I've had in years! It is so nice to find a salon so close to home and to have color and cut by the same professional. Agnes is friendly, talented, and a good listener. She offered great suggestions to meet my hair care needs.

While I was immediately pleased with my cut, color and style, I waited a few days to post a review. My hair still looked great on the third day and after washing and styling myself. Prices are comparable to the big name mall salon, but I saw better results in less time.

I look forward to returning to see Agnes at Rules.
