Sally Of The Dolls Hair

I've been dying and bleaching my hair for about 6 years now, so believe me when I say Sally is a magician at color correction! I found her on Classpass last year and have been going to her ever since! She is great at cut and style, especially really cool styles- I got a wolfcut from her last year and I was OBSESSED with it! And as I mentioned, she also REALLY excels at color and color correction. She fit me in last minute to change my hair color for my wedding after my appointment at a different salon got canceled. Sally also recommended the color after seeing my gray dress and it worked PERFECTLY. She worked for over 3 hours to strip green and pink out of my hair and then tone it to this absolutely incredible silver-purple color. And the time went by so fast because we were having such a blast chatting! The silver even kept up for a solid month, (which, if any of you have ever done silver, you know that's nearly unheard of). I really was obsessed with my wedding look, thank you Sally.

I live in boston at the moment (suck) but whenever i'm in LA I have Sally do my hair and she always does a great job (and my hair is fucking difficult). She's always gone out of her way to accommodate me when it comes to color, which can be hard since i do stupid unicorn fashion colors like lavender, which can be a pain in the ass.

her prices are great, she's a sweetheart, all in all it's always a pleasant experience.

she also gets major props for seriously helping me out when another salon totally botched my hair and refused to give me a refund, by explaining exactly how technically badly my hair was fucked up to my credit card company, who then refunded me. (said fuck up happening lead me to her so i guess it turned out to be a good experience in the long run)

Sally is super sweet here! I love her salon. It's really cute. She has a dog that comes to work with her and she's so cute!! She sat on my lip the whole time that I was there. My hair came out exactly how I wanted so I was super excited. I'm so happy I found her. It's hard to find a stylist who knows what you want!

Ok!! Seriously I'm LOVING the color work that Sally has done for me. I'm not the type of lady who gets her hair done on the regular mostly because of my fear of some hideous mistake that I'll have to deal with or style around for weeks if not longer. I used to think that a men's cut was a three step process: 1.) cutting way too short and rigid to lay a foundation of base hair for step 2.) focusing your available metal strength into growing a perfectly even layer of hair on top of your head to fill out the young professional look before 3.) achieving a perfect balance of length and styling capabilities for about 3 days, right before returning to a shaggy mop look.

Fortunately, I got word from my 'ol pal yelp that Sally had the golden scissors which now regularly get me the look I actually want, while lasting long enough to focus on the rest of my super important life. So if you're even the slightest bit underwhelmed with your regular scissor sister, comb try the colorful personality and conditioning talents of Sally. You experience will be 100 times better than these hair puns, I swear.

I love going to see Sally. Her prices are very fair, her location is convenient (next to the Hollywood Arclight), and she is a real "doll" to deal with.
