Rivi's

This is a solid bet if you want a nice night out sampling various wines. They have a great wine board, and we also ordered the poke salad and the shrimp. The dessert was a decadent cookie with ice cream. I would say we ordered too much food, as the wine board is massive!
Service was very friendly.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Rivi's! The food is outstanding... truly! Their wine list includes so many local wines... even my faves from El Dorado county. I had their Lamb Shank entree and my friend had the Shrimp and Crispy Kale dish; we also had their Baked Brie platter appetizer which was as pretty as it was delicious.
The atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting, with many different areas to just chill out and enjoy a wonderful glass of the grape juice!
Give it a try....you'll be happy you did!

Cute little place, owner and family very nice. I love the ambiance and Italy theme. The meat and cheese board and beer cheese are delicious. I wish they had more on the dinner menu, there is only a couple of entrees to choose from but all in all a great place.

I had the most amazing time. Hospitality was above and beyond. Food was great drinks were great and the setting on the patio area was classy. They had a fire going and a harpist playing
This place is so special to me now because that night my boyfriend proposed to me.

Paul and Amy are wonderful people! I have been to Rivis on a couple of date nights with my husband. I also had my Baby shower there and my sister just had her Bridal Shower there as well. Both parties were celebrated in the back room where there is a fire pit in the middle, no roof. It's a perfect spot to throw a baby or bridal shower.
The environment is amazing and they even have a separate little room with couches and a table for a more relaxed, home- feel. The whole place is so classy! There is also live music some weekend nights!
I definitely recommend their beer cheese fondue...so delicious! And lamb shank or sliders are amazing too! I would definitely get that as well! The cheese and meat platters are a nice way to start off the evening with your choice of wine (my favorite is the 19 crimes Red or a cab).

All in all, I give Rivis 10/10. Great place!

The staff was amazing. We were a big group of 10 including kids and they were beyond accommodating and super patient with the kids even allowing them to order off Menu.
We will definitely be returning and I would absolutely recommend them. Food was great although the selection was small.

We love coming to Rivi's and enjoying dinner and a bottle of wine. The slow cook short ribs are fantastic.

And look how petty the owner's response to me is. The time I posted my review and their hours are not mutually exclusive. None of the food trucks being blocked by him belong to me, and many of them are indeed from this area. The fact that there is alleged violations doesn't change the fact that these owners are not welcoming of these other businesses. I am happy to support many local businesses but the fact remains that there is a lack of variety in the Oakdale food scene, and it's a shame that some people don't want that to change.

It's been two times and two very different experiences at this cozy lil wine bar and cafe. Our first evening was a pleasant surprise as we sat in the patio and enjoyed a few glasses. Their meat and cheese board was plentiful. The short ribs and sliders tasty and balanced our wine well. Service was a good even though it was busy. The patio did get a bit warm and loud as the tables filled, but it was still comfortable. Unfortunately our second try was less enjoyable...
The best thing about the chicken wing special was the lightly pickled cucumbers. The wings were fatty and not much meat and the "Asian teriyaki style sauce" was nothing more than sweet chili sauce poured over the atrophied appendages. The bahn mi sliders were better though drenched in sauce and gravy (not sure who chose that duo). My Moscow mule sat on the bar until the cup was covered in condensation and when finally delivered the cocktail was watered down. Unfortunately our order of cheesecake never arrived and after waiting we cancelled it and headed home. Hoping the third try will be the charm, but jury is still out on if we'll be back for that third attempt.

This place is just what Oakdale needs!

Finally a place that has all the local wines and beers I love, plus food! I got to meet the owner who was very welcoming and helped find a wine my girlfriend and I loved. We then had snacks on the outdoor patio which was perfect.

I can't wait to come back! Best spot to drink in Oakdale!
