So easy to set up appt and he was on time. Estimate was accurate. I just requested to have two sets of doors to be keyed the same so that was extra. It was 1 hour for $108.25 and he also disposed of my old Keysets.

Okay, that's kind of frightening...

Jamie Reed is a gem of a locksmith. Old school but still with the times and supremely reasonable in his billing practices. I had a lot of old work to go with some new work - keys needed for old mortise locks and some old hardware in need of repair or replacement. Jamie worked patiently in an unhurried manner to deliver enormous value to me. I will definitely call on Jamie again and I know I am far from finished with all the locks in my old house so let me tell you how happy I am to know he's available for housecalls.

I requested a quote from Yelp to have several locks rekeyed and the owner of Reed's Key Shop, Jamie, responded quickly with the cost to come out and the cost per lock. Jamie arrived on time and was ready to work immediately.

While rekeying, Jamie even explained how the mechanism of the locks worked - it was really neat! He was extremely nice and remained professional the entire time. And he did a fantastic job for a great price! He thoroughly checked all my locks and knobs and went above and beyond what was expecting - he noticed one of our knobs was acting janky so he wiggles and jiggled and fixed it on the spot for no extra charge.

I HIGHLY recommend Jamie for any of your rekey services! He was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be calling him for any key needs again.

I had high hopes for this. I called last week when my key broke to get my fob replaced. The man on the phone said he'd do it as long as I brought the parts. I bought 2 called on Monday to make an appointment per his request. I had an appointment set for Tuesday at 9:30. I called to say I was running late and he said he was too but he'd call me when he was in town. I awaited his call and nothing. I called again at around noon and left a message and I STILL haven't gotten any type of response. I wouldn't even mind if he had said that he wasn't interested in doing it anymore but to avoid or ignore me when I was 100% willing to pay is ridiculous.

I'll be going in person to see if I can actually talk to someone and hopefully change the review

UPDATE: Wow oh boy I wish I could remove even that one star. My mom went to see him and he brought up that I left this review. Instead of, you know doing something to fix it. He no calls and no shows an appointment my mom made for that Saturday

Here's a tip for you, if you want good reviews maybe provide better service? It's not that hard.

I lost my keys while going on a run. I called Reed's key shop is fast, efficient, and professional. Oh and cheap. I scoured the web for quotes and they were the lowest in price.
