Recording Connection Audio Institute

What can I say about recording connection?! I wouldn't be where I'm at if it weren't for this program!

Before I started the with Recording Connection, I looked for a program that would allow me to learn not from textbooks but from real professionals in the industry with real experience. And that is exactly what I got!

I had the honor to be mentored by one of the best in L.A. Donny Baker from ES Audio in Glendale. He has worked with artist such as Madonna, Michael Bolton, Chick Correa and many many more.

Now that I've graduated from Recording Connection, I've had the pleasure of working with some of the best artist in the business such as Shane Dawson, Jessica Buttafuoco, Patrick Maldoun, Comedian Anthony Anderson, V.O. Producers Sean Krankle and Adam from "Night School Studios". Not to mention recently working with none other than DJ Paul from "Three 6 Mafia" on his new album as his recording/mix engineer.

This program has allowed me to meet so many people that appreciate my craft; tool that I learned from being in the studio and putting in the work.

It hasn't been easy but I've learned to "Always Dream Big!" Thank you Recording Connection...

I was trying to get into this program and have not been able to get any clear communication from anyone in their administrative office. Literally scheduled meetings on their website and they totally missed the meeting times and never even heard from anyone about it after the fact. eventually talked to someone in the administrative office and he said he'd call back within an hour with information about studio locations to check out in my area... Never heard from him as well. What a joke.
I came to leave this review and then saw all of these other horrifying reviews of students that actually attended. Smh def seems like a scam

Absolute scam. After doing this program for 6 months, I have nothing to show for it. Everything taught I could've learned on YouTube. There's nothing about this program that actually helps you get a job

Legitimate scam. Stay away from the school. Shut them down.
Still yet to receive my refund. Pretty terrible organisation.

Worst decision I ever made, STAY AWAY! All the reviews on their websites are FAKE! I paid $13K for this 6 month program, and as soon as I graduated they removed access to the book, and pro-tools! You pay so much money the least they can do is let you keep the book, so that you can go back and review it. They don't care about you after you graduate, and they'll bombard you with calls when you miss a payment. I have not been able to get a job 6 months after I graduated, and because sometimes I am unable to pay their stupid loan, in order to make my rent, my credit score is ruined. STAY AWAY!

SCAM. When I wanted to drop out, i kept getting people answering that were incompetent. They kept saying "oh the Financial advisor isn't in right now"... or "We're in the middle of a transition for financial advisors so we can't help at this moment." I never received a call back and when I decided to call again 3 months later, they would give me the same excuses. Now my credit is messed up and it says I owe $10,000 on classes I didn't even take. ALSO, the teachers don't get paid nearly enough. They get paid once the student takes a test for each class, which I didn't even do because my mentor himself said it was a scam! Hah! Go to community college. It's pretty much free and get your certificate there.

Never actually went to this school- but upon contacting for more info was bombarded with calls from people from California (when I was interested in seattle location), felt very corporate money grabby- after most of the conversation revolves around how much money have I saved up. They kept pushing the fact that "connecting" with others that have made it in the music industry is the way to go- but I don't want to be part of Corporate americas music- as well, they own all the music you produce in school... sounds like a scam. so many calls constantly trying to sell me was the final straw though I have to say.

Disclaimer: This is the first time I have ever written a review on any platform in my life! Please DO NOT JOIN THIS PROGRAM!!! It really is a legitimate scam and am still paying almost $300 a month 2 years later for something I got nothing out of. This is going down in the books as the worst financial choice I've ever made. These sharks try and make you feel special by bringing you into the studio and showing you all this expensive equipment so you think you made it. That is there selling point! The curriculum starts off with understanding the "history of sound" and the work of Alexander Graham Bell. Don't pay 13 grand for knowledge you can get off of a simple google search!! The mentors don't care about you and are just looking to make extra bread on the side so they can stay afloat. In addition, the job they promise is working as an AV Tech for Encore which is a company that is notorious for underpaying there workers. Please don't make my mistake and just buy a $25 course on Udemy and invest in some of your own equipment. Hopefully a lawsuit will put these people out soon!

These guys don't care about you when you graduate if your mentor can't help you they are not gonna help you. I'v been trying to contact them to help me just tweak my resume no answer they just call me to remind me of payments thank god my mentor call me time to time they don't even help you find a job later its like pay them and you are on your own with your mentor...I'd say its pretty expensive. I thought they could be better than a regular Music school but no if you have the option to go to an actual Music school go for it. I still struggle to find a job as a sound tech but thank god my mentor think of me time to time and call me for gigs but expect to work harder on your connections they are here just to take the money

If I could leave zero stars I would this place is a huge scam all they want is your money. Yeah it's cool they give you pro tools set you up in a studio but once you finish your schooling you're left to figure it out on your own. All the job promises they talk about in the beginning are non existent. Also were in the midst of a global pandemic and I had asked for a deferment on my payment and they DENIED IT. Seriously do yourself a favor and if you're considering doing this, don't. You can literally find all the information they give you on YouTube videos. If I could go back and never do this joke of a program I would. I deserve a refund for the lack of knowledge obtained from this absolute scam.
