Mike, to this day I still remember this transaction. You were never given a counter offer. Your agent (from another company) misinformed you we were doing counter offers on the home. We had several amazing offers on that home that were well above your offer price that our seller did not need to counter all the offers to get exactly what they wanted for the home. I even had the pleasure of your agent call me foul names when he found out the house was pending and I had to explain to him his misunderstood the conversation. Hope you eventually found the perfect home!

This company lies so bad. They emailed my husband to tell him that they tired to reach out to my husbands house cleaner and with failed attempts they had to hire someone else to go and clean to their standards. Not once did they contact my husband about this. We contacted the military spouse who cleaned the house and not once did they email or call her. This company only wants to keep your security deposit. We have never had issues with renting before. Thank god he has pictures from when he first moved in and when the house cleaner was done cleaning. A law suit is in the works. This company fails to communicate and they never gave him advance notice of any deductions as California state law says landlords have to provide.

Kim would text my husband offering him food and send him pictures this kinda stuff definitely isn't professional. My husband told this property manager that he wanted a move out inspection after all his stuff was moved out and they refused saying they don't do final inspection and they refused to work around his work schedule for any inspections at that. They are lazy never answers their work phone. The house when he moved in was super disgusting and dirty and carpets stunk even the property management girl Kim said it had a bad smell. Make sure you keep all pictures from before move in and take pictures durning move out and after you have the house professionally cleaned. So they can't say you left it looking bad..

Used her as our selling agent. Worst realtor I have ever dealt with. i cannot express in strong enough words how unprofessional I found her to be. Issues arose immediately after the contract was signed. We were not informed about cancelled showings that we prepared for, a surprise viewing when a realtor walked unannounced into our house scared my wife so badly, she was on the phone to the police about an intruder. Desiree never apologized for her mistakes nor responded to my messages regarding her failure to communicate accurate information to us. Had the feeling once the contract was signed she would do as little work as possible to sell the house. She definitely placed her personal convenience above her professional responsibilities.

I've had the great pleasure of using PLumas Lake Property Rentals during my rental period of a year and half. Their staff are first class in my book and I've never been treated as just another renter. When something was broken, it was either fixed and/or replaced ASAP. I even used their expertise in helping me purchase my own home in the area. I feel like they've helped me a lot being a renter and graduate me over to being a homeowner.
This was my first time renting out a place where it was handled by a property management. Usually, my lease/rental agreements experience are direct one on one with the owner. I know there are many horror stories when rental homes are handled by a property management, but that was not the case for me here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lauren W.Yuba City, CA0186May 29, 2019
Desiree knows her market and she is excellent at marketing her listings. She stays on top of all the details and hurdles of a sale to ensure it goes through, and at the end of the day she does whatever she can to please her clients. Desiree worked with us through a very difficult escrow on our dream home and sold our house for $15k more than we had estimated we would get- can't ask for better than that!

I lease a property from this company and I cannot recommend enough that, if you are looking to rent in this area, you continue past this company and find another rental team or a personal owner who is leasing (as I have decided to do when this terms lease is up).
They may be great realtors and have a pretty decent storage facility but that is all they should be trusted with. From the way they handle the application process, to repair requests, to the disrespect in any communications, you will be treated like you are a felon living in a half-way house. For renters there really is no such thing as customer service in their work ethic. Their company culture is totally geared towards home sales and property management, the leasing customers are treated like squatters (even when the rent is on time).
Renting from them is a little like swimming with sharks, you'll probably be okay... just don't accidentally scrape a knee or anything.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Erin B.Davis, CA04May 9, 2018
My husband and I could not have asked for a better team to help us through buying our first home. Kim and Desiree are so knowledgeable about the area and the market. They made the process painless, seamless, and always made us feel as if we were the only clients they were working with. They even pay attention to small personal things. It sounds silly, but I mentioned how much I loved a plant pot that I found online earlier in the home buying process, and they surprised me with it the day we closed escrow, it more than you know! I absolutely recommend Plumas Lake Properties. Desiree and Kim are the best of the best!

I don't agree with Desiree's comments. You also took it off the market and jacked the price up. The appraisal was from a company in the Plumas area and was below the 2nd asking price. The price I agreed to above, was from the first listing of the same property. At that time I offered above the first asking price. So what was it actually worth and don't give me the market went up 10 large in 2-3 months. That, Miss Plumas Lake, is cutthroat. If you're going to reply, explain the WHOLE story. Enough said.

Jim, First off I would like to explain that Yelp does not allow me to remove reviews, so it may have been filtered by Yelp as that is their choice as you will see there are many filtered reviews on business pages. In response to your false accusations about me and my company, I never interacted with you personally. I believe based on your comments you were not told correct information from your agent. I had communication with your agent regarding you understanding you would pay over appraised value for the home as the quality of this home was superior to the other options and you had been looking for months. You wrote us an offer $10,000 over our listed price and the appraisal came in within a $1,000 of our listed price. When you would not agree to pay over appraised value as your agent stated you would before we went into contract, we cancelled to offer. We did find a buyer that purchased the home $6,000 more then what your appraisal came in and we got an appraisal at that value. You might want to vent your frustrations to your agent and not at my company. Some people do refer to me as Mrs. Plumas Lake, but that is because I give back to my community with free events like movies in the park, Easter Eggstravaganza, Block Party, 4th of July Parade as well as sponsoring several community sports leagues and schools. I hope you have found a home in our community and you come meet me at one of our awesome events. I promise I am not the person you have made me out to be in your reviews. I will even buy you a beer at the Block Party in August!
Jun 14, 2019Previous reviewDesiree is in my opinion a phony. Again she talks out of both sides of her mouth. While she may represent her clients well, she misrepresents the facts just like she did according to a previous review. She plays buyers against each other and misleads their agents. She will then deny what in fact she said. Get an appraisal before you explore buying a home she lists. Others local have had similar opinions.
Jun 5, 2019Previous reviewLooks like she took my April review down and yelp didn't notify me. I believe she is cuthroat and manipulates the buyers agent as well as the buyer. She plays agents and buyers against each other and seems deceitful. I believe the term is talking out of both sides of the mouth. I know my agent is not happy with her and some residents I've spoken to aren't impressed with her either. Just like one of the reviews said, what she says and what she does are two different things. If you're looking to buy in Plumas Lake, look for another agency.
Apr 25, 2019Previous reviewDoes the term "cut throat" and "manipulative" come to mind. At least in my attempt to purchase one of her listings. List, relist, raise the price, and more than likely play one buyer against another. When the appraisal comes in significantly lower than the offer the counter was for the same offer. They don't care that you come in negative equity. I believe the other negative review speaks volumes when her comment is, to paraphrase, " you misunderstood what I said". Apparently she believes she's Miss Plumas Lake although, according some I've talked to, the act is getting old.
