Ok so super sweet cashier great customer service, had wings today and nachos wife had taco salad pics on next visit,
Food was good and getting better as they progress,
Price is good.
Only suggestion make subs on regular bread, not pizza crust.
Clean inside from what I've seen so far.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 8, 2018Previous reviewGood service, good pricing, casual place looks clean!

The pizza was very good. Best meal I've had in L'Anse this week. We'll prepared and we'll seasoned.
We wanted to eat in the restaurant but the air conditioning was not up to the heat today. Other than that everything was fine.
We had a large group and order 3 pizzas. pepperoni, cheese, and a 4 top (sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, and onion).Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dominick M.Midtown, Champaign, IL01Dec 20, 2022
Lexy Elizabeth Sweeney was the best Pizza Chef I could've possibly asked for. She very gracefully prepared the slices as she fantabulously sprinkled the toppings on top. Spectacular experience that was once in a lifetime for me. 10/10.

Delicious subs and pizza. Could eat here every day!! #4 or Italian combo are my fave. The best bread.

I've been here twice and the comparison between both visits is night and day
First time I arrived, the pizza (especially the sauce) was excellent. Crispy crust and cooked just the way I like it
Came back a few years later and there was nothing great about the pizza.....not even good. Sauce tasted like it came out of a can and the dough tasted like the stuff from the Chef Boyardee pizza kit that is sold in most grocery stores.
Next time I am up there, I will bring some frozen pizzas with me, or take a ride to Houghton or Marquette because I do need my pizzaHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Beth B.MI, MI3411Jun 9, 2017
We enjoyed the pizza this evening. The cudighi pizza is simply amazing--definitely worth trying. The French bread pizza is also delicious. We appreciated the friendly and efficient service. We always look forward to a meal at the pizza shack.

This place has really good salads and french bread pizza. Didn't care too much for the BLT pizza but everything else is really good.

The pizza here is good, but it's compared to other pizzas in town which makes it fall in my book. My biggest gripe about this place is the fact that Crusty's changed sauce from the 1st owner and it lost all it's flavor. The sauce in all reality tastes identical to tomato sauce (plain) that you would get from a can to make homemade pizza sauce. I think they try to keep it simple but some darn garlic salt or oregano would sure hit the spot on this pizza. The crust and cheese are both really good and I hear great things about their sandwiches. But the pizza is just so darn bland. I would think with Irene's across the bay that we could borrow a little of salt from their delicious sauce and put it on this bad boy.
If you are the owner and you are reading this, put salt in your pizza sauce. If you are salting already, triple what your putting into it. The taste that you offer could be much better. Nancy knew what was up with the Lawrie's in the sauce, that stuff was excellente. If you borrowed that recipe I would frequent your business more often. Until then, Irenes reigns supreme.
If anyone cared, here is my rundown of Keweenaw bay Pizza places
1) Irenes Pizza (in world as well)
2) Whirl-i-gig pizza
3) Hilltop Pizza
4) Superior pizza (Best 1/2 bbq 1/2 hot wings ever)
5) Crusty's
If anyone else is not on here, you don't deserve to be.
