Petrone's Pizza

If I could give it worse than 1 star I would. We ordered a large margarita pizza and paid $27 for an inedible pizza that was a cheese pizza with tomatoes on top and bread that was nothing like pizza dough. Lost $30 and I'm still hungry.

Not only was the pizza great, but the owner/manager there was the nicest person ever. (told me to have a great day, asking if I needed extra condiments/napkins, thanks me for coming in, etc.). Make sure to stop by and you will not be disappointed!

Hands down the best option for pizza subs in Melrose it has been since it opened 40 plus yrs now. Never had a bad pie yet. My favorite is the works you can't put it down it so good.

I'm not usually a yelper but I'm new to Melrose and a friend of mine recommended Petrone's... we ordered calzones and chicken fingers.. it was terrible, the chicken fingers were drier than Aruba in August and the calzone's were overcooked and had no flavor what so ever. Everyone was just disgusted with it. Ruined my get together first time hosting and my guests left in disgust. Thanks a lot

A Melrose staple! This is a must stop place for me when I'm in the Melrose area. The employees are very friendly (and really get to know their regulars). If you're new to the area - parking is on the street with plenty of spots. While they do a large takeout/delivery business, they also have tables for you to dine inside. My go to is always the steak and cheese calzone or their Buffalo chicken calzone. Food is always consistent. Today when I was there, they gave me a warm cookie on my way out for a "sweet treat for the road". I love this place.

Wow, just got a 15 dollar steak and cheese, that was so pencil thin it could have been a taquito. 1/2 the sun barlely had meat. I don't mind paying a fair price, but a 15 dollar sub better be impressive. This was anything but. So so very disappointing

Best guys, best steak & cheese, pizza, wings, hot subs to go back for!!! This is my jam from the roota to the toota...

The place is legendary. The pizzas, all well done, lots of cheese.

And their veggie pizza is totally loaded with guess what veggies!

I have eaten pizza from LA to Chicago to Boston. This place is as good as any pizza joint in the country. And the service is sweet -- on time and the food is hot.

The pizza was pizza, but you couldn't ask for nicer staff. I came in with my kiddos and an older gentleman came out from the kitchen with two warm cookies for them.
While I think Pisa in Malden is still my favorite in the area, I would be happy to patronize this establishment again if I am in Melrose, at the very least to support a business that genuinely seems beloved by its community.
