Penn's Fish House

If you like good catfish this is the place but you don't get a lot for your money so beware.

Basically a private label Captain D's with similar pricing. They feature catfish instead of cod and do have fried oysters and a chicken on a stick thing as well. Everything else was about the same, though.

Restaurant a little dirty, not the greatest service. Food was not a lot better than gas station food. Found out after eating here I was across the street from one of the better fish/steak places in the area. Live and learn.

I was born in Canton, but we moved to Texas when I was 9 or so. We come back home when necessary. December 2018 and March 2019, we experienced two deaths in the family. Both times I was able to get to Penn's and I had the same experience each time. They smile when you walk in and make you feel welcome. They didn't rush me to order and the food was made to order. Chicken on a stick=PERFECTION! I will be stopping through each time my friends and I take a road trip going down I-20. Southern Hospitality at its finest! (My babe was with me and he enjoyed as well. Talked about it the whole way home and three days after we got back, LOL!)

I just left there and boy is my stomach hurting. The food wasn't good it was cold. Don't get me started about the bathrooms it's to small then they don't have locks on the door I'm mean like who does that. If u ever want to come here don't because it is terrible, thank u for u time

I had the fried shrimp plate it was good the foods seemed a little too salty for me especially the fried okra the mac and cheese was good.
The only fish is catfish

Fried shrimp, fish, chicken. Even though there is a drive-thru, it is not fast food. Chose sweet potato fries with my dinner, very good. Other side options included coleslaw, collard greens and fries. Fried green tomatoes on the appetizer menu, didn't try this trip, maybe next time. Didn't care for the sweet tea. Would eat there again, but not days in a row because mostly fried items.
