Me and my hubby went in this morning. I wanted to purchase a mickey and Minnie mouse for my bestie. Well , they were in a bag (one of those bags a comforter would come in ) it was zipped tied shut. I asked if I could look at it before I bought it ? The guy looked at us with attitude and said no, he said it's been tested. I said I'd like to see if it works before buying for 50.00. I don't know. I'm silly that way .he just looked at me and shook his head no .. This guy was very rude, plus I might add very overpriced.with that said, I would have still spent the 50 if I could have checked it out ..

Most amazing place ever! Not only do I get all my clothes there, but they are also super sweet and honest. I donated a bag on a Sunday. I was just so happy to give my clothes away on a spontaneous day, that I didn't even recheck it to see if I had anything important was let in it. Let's just say. I got a call a Tuesday night and the lady said she found my wallet and my husband's credit card. Not only am I wondering how she found my number( she had to have done some work ), but she made me feel like there are still good people in this world. Who will do the right things. The fact the she found my number and was apologetic about the time she called, she made me love this place even more. I shop there a lot but now I will only shop there. Most amazing finds and great prices. Staff is incredible and the most important part. This place is HONEST and the employee are AMAZING!

Not a lot of stuff. Very picked over supply. Tiny collection of men's clothes. Came in looking for a emergency swimsuit, left mine at home.

2 year update - as Erica had mentioned in her reply, PB has brought in new staff. Ive seen a gradual change in the last year, more than likely due to the new staff.
Here's my breakdown of pros and cons to the thrift:
Pros - prices. If it's a regularly marked item, their prices are good. Dirty clothes. The people sorting do a pretty good job imo of tossing clothes that are not wearable. Once in a while they have rag bags, so that's good they're trying to keep clothes from the landfill. The people that work there. Honestly, everyone I've come across (I'm there daily it seems like) is really sweet. If you didn't know this about Mendocino co, we were one of the last counties to get rid of the mask. I was in there several times tourist came in, and was upset we had that mandate still. Folks who are working in PB put up with a lot of meanness, and still managed to be kind.
Cons. Pricing up clothes that seem to have a higher value. Can we just stop this already. This misconception of what has value is getting out of hand. Marking up shoes. Again, flat prices on shoes please.
All in all, PB is a good thrift store, and I appreciate having it in my home town. I'm happy to update again if I see any other changes! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We are grateful for your time and suggestions. Keep your eyes out for new weekend sales, every weekend, as well as new eye-catching displays, refreshed inventory, and more customer-friendly pricing!Dec 26, 2020Previous reviewOverpriced but all the thrift stores in FB are. Too bad too, everything in the shop was donated and everyone who works there is a volunteer. I'd like to see more discount days available. Our little town is struggling. I'd give it less stars but every once in a while I'll find a great deal.

Jeff, the long haired young man at the cash register, was so friendly and helpful. Really cute shop with some good stuff but the highlight was definitely the employees!

I was surprised to see all these bad reviews, I go to the store fairly often and yes, they are priced high, as well as all the thrift stores in the area, but probably because the rent or mortgage is high in this area. They have good scores in once in a while, you just have to goo often.
