Paramount Stores

We love to come here to get our shower curtain and whatever items we need for the bathroom or the living room, just wish the store was as big as there sign out side, when you get inside, it's so small, and the staff, just don't seem to want to work, also seem like you are bugging them when you ask them a question.
well the price are good, but the service sux.

This store offers everything you need to decorate a home.
The quality and variety of the merchandise is excellent. I bought things as gifts for my mom who was so happy with her gift. I have bought table cloths for my kitchen, curtains for my bathroom and kitchen that I could not find anywhere else.
What I like most about the store is that for each living area, all of the possible combinations are already laid out for you. The store is completely organized and impeccable.
When I shop there I know just what I want and I am not looking for a return. They management clearly specifies that you can only get store credit. I have been shopping here for over ten years and have never had a problem. The prices here are better than Macy's or J. C. Penny and the quality is just as good if not better.

Normally I would say that this place is great for the value and I am a normal shopper since I live in the area, but after a recent event, I need to share my experience. My wife and I recently moved into a new apartment, and we were looking for something quick and inexpensive to start off with and we'd build up from there.

I purchased some items that I wasn't sure if it would work with what we needed/sizing etc. Before I left the store, I asked if I could return these items if necessary and was told yes. I returned after a couple days with a couple items that I didn't need and was denied (even though I was told that I could return these things). I ended up speaking to a very rude manager who didn't help and was also saying things that should not be typed here. Apparently, some of the items were on sale and the cashier wrote "final sale" on the receipt. While I understand the reasoning behind this, I tried to explain that I was given false information.

I understand that I was stuck with my purchase, but my main complaint is about the customer service I received (or didn't receive). I suppose since we live in the Bronx, we are just second rate customers who do not deserve customer service, and as such, they should not deserve our business.

This place would be better if it was so cluttered. They never change their window display. Those things have been in the window for about 26 years! I've been living in this area since I was two and I'm about to be 28! They need to clean that store out and restock items. The stores size is way to small for all of that merchandise. And please change the window display along with the seasons. No th ing about the outside makes you want to go inside. There's never even a bright sale sign smh

I really enjoy this store because of the great prices and selection. They really are the place for reasonably priced window treatments and bath essentials. However, the service could be better. The store is not very big or too crowded, so there is no excuse for the staff not knowing much of what's in stock. I was told that they didn't have something, only to find it myself with some diligent looking. The trade off is the prices, so its worth it.
