Been here many times and get the same pizza. But this time the crust was disgusting! It was super thin but it even looks different, tastes different, I dont know if there has been a change is recipe or if the people there dont know what they are doing. Here is the kicker the pizza was soggy after it was cooked. Like the crust was hard and crunchy but soggy. I dont even know how to explain it, but I think my favorite pizza place just lost a customer...

The boss was pretty nice, they were pretty good with our not so normal order. I just wish that they would keep more on top of the stuff in the front case as sometimes there's stuff that's not super fresh. They were pretty fast though.

Ordered online, pizza was ready but five cheese bread was not. They had to make one up. The lady was not happy about doing it. She tried to get me to get something else. The employees are rude and lazy at this store. Someone came in after I'd been for a while. They didn't greet them or even wait on them, they had to ask for service.

This is not my first visit to This Papa Murphy's location, probably the third or fourth.
For those of you who have never been, The concept is pretty simple. Made to order pizzas that you take home and bake yourself. So you get a fresh made pizzeria style pizza (not a crappy grocery store one.) customized by you, and you don't have to tip anyone. Unfortunately the price is about the same as going to one of the big chain pizza places, even though they don't bake it for you.
So I walk in to order my pizza, and I am instantly greeted by a young man who came from the back when I entered. He asked if I had decided, and I told him I was not yet ready. I saw ads in the window for $5.00 pizzas, but I could not find them anywhere on the menu. When I asked about them I was told they are a lighter crust made with less toppings and only available as a one topping pizza. Personally I felt misled. They advertise a cheap pizza then when you go in it is not on the menu, and the staff makes it sound like it is of lower quality. All designed to get you in the door and then sell you something expensive.
When I was ready, I placed my order. I ordered a Large Stuffed big Murphy, which is a pizza with red sauce, cheese, pepperoni and mushrooms. Then they add another crust on top, more cheese Tomatoes and green peppers. $14.00 I also ordered Chocolate chip cookie dough. $4.00 They rang me up a total of $19.23. Then I got to watch them make my pizza. I think this is very cool. Because you can ask them questions as they are making it, and tell them to leave something off or maybe only put it on half while they are making it. When Finished he wrapped my pizza in plastic wrap, baking instructions included and I left.
When I got home I popped the Pizza in my preheated oven, and it cooked up perfectly.
When it came out of the oven it looked as though it had just been delivered except I had to cut it myself.
The pizza tasted great. I thought it was a little under-cooked on the inside. but my wife said I was crazy.
I thought the place was very clean and offered a good product. I do feel that the prices are too high when you consider I have to bake it myself. Why don't they pass the savings on to me? They don't have to pay for the oven, it's upkeep, or the cost to run it. Also no cooks and no delivery drivers. But I can still get a cheaper pizza that tastes just as good from Pizza hut. I do like that I get to bake it myself and have a fresher pizza. I just wish it was a little cheaper so that I could buy it more often.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joe S.Salt Lake City, UT013Apr 5, 2014First to Review
This Papa Murphy's has the worst service I have ever had. It takes way too long to get a pizza built. They treat their in house customers as second class citizens compared to their internet orders and they frequently run out of ingredients for their more popular pizzas. If you want to have a bad customer experience try this place out.
