Palm Beach Tan

WHAT A SCAM! DON'T GO HERE!! This place is worse then going to a used car lot. Their bottles of lotion are $60-80 each yet these same lotions can be bought on Amazon for $20 and up. They require a card up front to draft their "membership fee" from your account every month. I explained repeatedly that I wanted to do a one month trial basis to see if my sensitive skin would tolerate the tanning beds, therefore I did not want to set up an automatic draft. The staff person Kaylie said that upon my signing up while I was there, my first month would be pro-rated since we were one week into the current month and the next month's fee would also be taken out the same day. I explained AGAIN that I did not want to do that since I might not be able to tolerate the beds and asked what would happen if I cancelled before the end of the current month I signed up in? What would happen to the fee they had already taken out for the next month, would I get that back? She seemed shocked that I would even expect to get money back for a month that I wouldn't be using!! Maybe too much time in the tanning beds has fried her brain, but I'm not paying a month and a half for something I may use 1-2 times and my skin have a reaction to. There are other places in town that don't require a contract and I found one called Tantalizing Tan and Tone. No contract, no pressure and beautiful facility. Don't waste your time with Palm Beach. The internet is full of comments from people who got scammed by this company by getting locked into contracts and Palm Beach wouldn't let them out. Save yourself the headache, DON'T GO THERE!!

Do these girls make commission? I came in to start my membership back from last spring and the girls told me it was $30 a month. I told them it wasn't that much last spring and they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about. I signed up, but when I got home I looked it up & I was paying $15 a month last spring! Then I looked at the website, and I saw it advertised for $15 a month. I went back to correct it, but they said I still have to pay $30 for the first month. All I wanted was the basic bed. I'm posting the pic of the $15 membership for anyone interested since those girls won't tell you about it.

This is a local business brag post. Today was my first time going to Palm Beach Tan in Brandon. I had lots of questions so I had to call twice before going. I spoke to the manager the first time and she was super knowledgeable and took so much time to answer all of my questions. Unfortunately I forgot some of things she told me so I called back. Chelsea helped me the second time and she helped me today with my first spray tan visit. She was warm, friendly, and compassionate to my specific needs. If y'all are looking for a great place to tan be sure to give them a try. You can help me out by giving them my name as a referral. You may even bump into a friend like I did while you are there. Nothing better than living in a small town.

Wow! Where do I start, I absolutely adore this place.

First off, the staff is always so friendly. They remembered my name not long after I started going there. It's nice to be taken in-front of other customers when there are long lines for mystic.

They have 3 types of beds, Levels 1, 2, & 3.
1 of course is basic, for those who can just as easily tan outside as indoors, 2 for those who are tan challenged, and 3 are the bronzing beds, (however; they don't really have any affect on me, & i don't believe they are worth the extra money). They also offer student discounts which makes getting a glow even more affordable. Although the place is a tad bit on the pricey side (mainly because they are the only people in town who offer a higher watt bulb (level 2s), they are well worth every penny.)

FYI- Their bottom line of tanners, (the cheep ones) are just as good at the top shelf ones, just w/o the moisturisers, esp. the BYOB bronze.

I am not very quick to hand out 5 stars, but i absolutely adore everything about this place.

I've had nothing but problems with this location. Poor customer service and the staff act like they could care less about you. They put you in rooms that they know the beds have bulbs out and when you say something they say "oh I know "!?! Why would you do that to your customers??? Wish there was somewhere else to go...

Wonderful customer service! I came in this morning to get sprayed, and as someone who gets sprayed regularly (and not at that location; I'm from out of town), I realized that I wasn't getting darker like I should be. I called and was transferred to the manager (Rebecca, maybe?), and she let me spray again plus added an accelerator + a bronzer free of charge. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

I really used to love this place. Now, the managers that have been there are a joke. The one before this one was decent at least, I think she came from Flowood, I'm not sure. It takes them FOREVER to change bulbs so it feels like you're not getting what you're paying for when they don't change the bulbs. Most of the staff are high school teenagers who talk behind your back and give you nasty looks. I waited for the standup bed after I went there after work (around 5pm)and was told it would be 8 more minutes. I said ok no problem, only to see an EMPLOYEE coming out of it! So sick of this place. I'm looking for other places now.

Worst place ever. Went in Sunday to tan and the young lady Kirsten( spelling maybe wrong) took her 5 minutes to get to the counter to check me in. Asked what level i wanted and let her know room 15. She asked if i wanted another bed as that one was not clean. I told her i could wait. You think i was asking for her to move the world for her to clean the bed. Will not be going there anymore until Management does something about her.

The customer service is awesome! they will remember your name, especially if you come in when they are working. Atmosphere is great and if you have a concern the manager and the assistant manager will listen to you... couldn't ask for a better place to tan. Thanks Ladies
