I called earlier the day I was trying to come in, and one of girls said she will do a free tan for me. Get this, it was Mother's Day weekend also. I called my friend to come sit in the car with my babies so I could have a few minutes to take care of myself. I walk in and magically.. a free spray tan turns into a 45 dollar one with horrible customer service. They told me to wait 10-15 mins and they told me they will call me. After waiting 30 minutes with two babies that were screaming and needing to nap. I called them and they told me " oh that's werid. Looks like no one put you in line" my friend tans there all the time and never expected such poor service. Very misleading message. My friend wanted to come in that day and I called her and told her to take her business somewhere else because it's not free, I haven't been this disappointed in a costumer service please in a very long time. The tan didn't last either, overall I am very sad because this was suppose to be a good experience but ended up horrible. They were not Apologetic nor did they offer any discount. I'm telling you know how take your business else where. 1/5.

Went and signed up for a membership.. spending a total of $99.17 new sign up fee. I was told there is a promotion going that you get the first month free when you sign up and thought that was too good to pass up my sales associate Anna was amazing! Sold us on a package!
I got rung up and cashed out and then asked when the free month started. The cashier was new and had expressed her apologies as we were only the 2nd person she rang up. She forgot to include the free month promo and wasn't sure how to refund it. I said no problem, i would come back Monday and she agreed that was best. I was not mad at all and understood the issue.
I came back Monday to speak with the branch manager explaining the mistake. Told her i would be good with her carrying over the balance to the following month. She told me that she could could not do that but was was able to give me instore credit for the over payment and I can't spend it on product in her store. I told her I rather have my money back to which she told me "our registers aren't even capable of doing refunds here" she told me she would try diligently to reach out to their customer service team to see if there was anything they could do, but here is the number if I wanted to try myself. I waited all night and till the next day to hear back from her but never did and at that point my husband decided to follow up.
She told him she provided me with the number to customer service to call and see if they could refund me. But there was nothing she could do at store level.
He reached out to the customer service team, explained the issue again. Krista was great. Responsive, made us feel heard. Let us know she was going to refund the prorated amount to our account the process takes 7-14 days and she would credit us instore credits to our account for the inconvenience as well as reach out and try to expedite the refund. She also explained that the branch could have and should have processed the refund at store level and the manager was capable of doing this despite her telling me she wasnt even capable of processing refunds.
This was January 11th. It is now January 26th. We have not received a refund, not a credit to our accounts and no follow up or confirmation of the refund.
We had faith this would be processed promptly. It's funny someone can be quick to withdraw money from our accounts but take their time returning it. We understand the process takes time but over 14 days and still no follow up or follow through.

My recent visit to Palm Beach Tan turned out to be an incredibly disappointing and uncomfortable experience, exacerbating my already challenging battle with seasonal depression. Having struggled with this condition, I have found that tanning helps alleviate my symptoms, which is why I had chosen Palm Beach Tan as my go-to destination. However, the way Kita handled the situation left me feeling even more awkward and disheartened.
As someone who has been served by Kita on numerous occasions, I expected a level of empathy and understanding from her. But when I arrived without my goggles, an honest mistake on my part, I was met with disdain and a complete lack of compassion. Even after I paid the $1.08 for the sticker googles, Kita wouldn't let it go. Kita chose to publicly criticize me and intensify my feelings of insecurity.
It's disheartening to visit a place that is supposed to be a source of relaxation and support, only to be confronted with such negative customer service. When dealing with individuals who may have unique needs or conditions, it is crucial for staff members to approach the situation with understanding and kindness. Unfortunately, Kita's behavior fell far short of those expectations, making an already challenging situation even more difficult.
Tanning has been a personal coping mechanism for my seasonal depression, helping to elevate my mood and bring some much-needed warmth and light into my life during the darker months. However, the experience with Kita left me questioning not just my comfort at Palm Beach Tan, but also my ability to seek solace in an environment that should be supportive and uplifting.
It is my sincere hope that Palm Beach Tan takes this review seriously and addresses the need for increased sensitivity and empathy among their staff members. Seasonal depression affects a significant portion of the population, and it is crucial for businesses to create an inclusive and understanding environment for everyone. Misleading sales tactics!!! Just like to say Palm Beach Tan in Battleground is a rip off. I went in on about the 15th of May to start tanning and the girl that sighed me up told me that if i need to cancel do it before the 25th so you don't get charged for the next month and since i started in the middle of the month i would be able to tan through the 15th June the following month. Well i went in today the 22nd and canceled my subscription and the other girl proceeds to tell me that i only have until the end of the month to tan. ( So basically i payed for a full month and all I'm getting is only a little over 2 weeks.) What a rip!!!

I like their tanning lotions and beds. Everyone that works there so far have been so informative and helpful. I got a super good deal on a membership and lotion as they were having a promotion. It gets pretty busy depending on the time of day you go but that's the only downside.

Misleading sales tactics, billing, and fees. Paid over $80 for a spray tan. Came in for a single spray tan for my wedding, representative explained it would be cheaper to do the membership and that there are locations all over Washington. I told her I live in the Olympia area, not a problem. Well, there are no locations anywhere close to where I live. So I was charged $50 for first tan- spray tan, primer, and startup fee. The following month I am charged $32.40 which they say is because of the startup fee. First, I already paid that fee. Second, $14.99 per month spray tan plus taxes, plus a $20 startup fee does not equal $32.40. The math does not add up and they cannot figure out why I was charged what. I have a useless membership with spray tan credits I can't use, billing that they literally can't make sense of, and they will not refund.
Update: corporate Palm Beach Tan did reach out to explain the billing and provide a refund. I emailed the info given on this review. However, Palm Beach Tan of Battle Ground did not follow up or reach out as they said they would.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

So glad I pay for an unlimited spray tan membership at my local tanning salon (Battle Ground) that constantly is referring me to a location that is 20min out of my way in Orchards for my sprays. All because Battle Ground's PBT won't just upgrade their booth, so their parts keep breaking thus putting the booth out of service for days to weeks at a time and hindering customers. Instead of just offering some sort of actual solution (other than the obvious booth replacement), some sort of credit should be given off future bills, or not charging the unlimited clients for the full month due to not having access... my only option given is to drive a total of 40min out of my way. Horrible customer service.

the spray tan was uneven and dripped down the back of one of my legs leaving a streak. in a pinch, it's still not worth it! I am 5'7" - average woman-but the spray booth did not go high enough to cover my shoulders and neck well enough. the primer that the sales woman insisted on did nothing for my skin. it was clean though and the clerk was nice. I will drive 30 minutes to go elsewhere because there are spray booths that you turn four times inside of that give you THE BEST spray EVER!

I used to go tanning a Jamaican Me Tan in Battle Ground, one day they just closed there doors not telling anyone. I went in to your location in battleground and Chenal was so helpful explained each package you guys offered. Helped me pick out a tanning lotion.

One star is still too high of a rating...
The owner really needs to train better because no one knows what they are doing nor what they are talking about, pushing products on you instead of giving the slightest care of my needs and health. Absolutely will not be coming back.
Rude employees
Plus half the time all the employees/managers do is talk trash about each client after putting them in a room after complimenting them and acting like they were your best friend. Didn't explain the forms I signed and didn't make me feel comfortable I don't even think they know what's better for my skin they just want to sell the most expensive product to benefit them selfs . Learn to be professional, There's a good idea of business they have going on here THEY NEED TO TRAIN CORRECTLY!! If I were a first time tanner I would have no idea what I was doing. Plus no trash cans/chairs in rooms.
