Thank you Robby n Nichols for your assistance for making us feel safe. Knowing OPD will do drive by our street. Absolutely
Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 15, 2023Previous reviewAbsolutely for our Oxnard Police Department and Canine Officer . There was a stand-off today from 10:30am to 4:45pm. We had 2 Swat Trucks n 5 Police Cars, Police Officers n Sharp Shooters, and a Police officer canine. When dealing with mental health issues and a gun, it's so difficult to have a safe ending. But our OPD n Canine Officer pulled it of. Everyone was safe, including the family dog. Thank you ALL for keeping us the neighbors safe and most of all the family involved. All this ended safely because of our OPD n Canine training. Thank you.
Jan 22, 2022Previous reviewThank you to Officer Manuel Garcia and Officer Andy Grande and Alicia for checking on us after our ADT motion alarm went off at 2:30am. We are safe and truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and protection. Oxnard PD Officers and staff are extremely highly trained. Thank you once again for making our community safe.

.Nov 4, 2020Previous reviewJessica from Oxnard False Alarm Reduction Program was very helpful. I wanted to be sure this was a legitimate company since I always did business directly with Lynnett at OPD. Jessica explained about the new procedures regarding renewal of the Alarm Permit. But unfortunately no discounts for seniors any more. Thank you Jessica for taking the time and being patient with all my questions. You're definitely a five star employee.

Sad that I can't say what I want on this review crazy how all the other businesses let you say whatever but all police and government centers your limited on what you can say even when it's the truth.
This place is trash service, area, and employees how you gonna make me do you job for you, what do we pay taxes for literally was waiting their to waste my time and just to be told it's gonna be awhile you guys act like your the only ones with essential jobs sad part is you guys don't even do the job you get paid for your basically telling us to do it for you while you sit and wait and talk to your coworker I'm with the defund the police you guys don't even do what your paid to do might as well be like Texas and handle it myself. NOT USELESS ITS ONE OF THEIR OWN THEY DONT CARE.. also why are most of you guys hiding behind the mall 2-3 squad cars posting and talking to one another don't even get me started on how many guys you take to pull over a car for a citation 5 to 6 guys Sheriffs definitely school you guys when it comes to this job,sad how you guys say your so busy but always talking to each other. Your honestly like the the kids that always on their phone and can never answer them even though they have it right in their hand.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 3, 2023Previous reviewIf I'm being brutally honest, and I am, I honestly don't need to think we need fucking officers. Mostly you guys are all in your car talking to each other sitting down not doing your fucking jobs and every time there is a situation when it requires real work you guys are too scared to go do it but for simple traffic stops there's always 4-6 of you guys it's honestly fucking embarrassing what do we our citizens pay all these taxes for just to have you guys jerk off at your fucking job not do anything and every time somebody does ask you to do something you guys don't get it done in a timely manner not unless it's for one of your own. It's always done in hours and hours. To top it off, you have us filing your reports and doing your job. What the fuck do you guys have to sit at the front desk for then? Just to say hi and bye and talk to your coworkers cause that's all you guys really do. Parked on the side of the road next to your coworker three cars along the side, talking to each other while there's fucking speeding people On the road the only time you guys care is when your quota comes up And you wonder why most of the citizens want to defund most of these departments it literally a waste of money to pay you guys taxes and not do your job. If I could give you zero stars, I would the customer service that you guys had in there was trash. Nobody wanted to help. Everybody just kept on pointing to the computer. You guys are fucking embarrassing. Let's citizens do the job that you guys are being paid to do. While you guys talk right in-front of us. USELESS DEPARTMENT

This police agency has done a poor job of training their officers. I was ambushed by 5 police officers and three cars for being in my parked car.. I had no idea this was illegal? That's because it is not.. they even agreed, but still had the nerve to tell me I was being detained and to present my identification. I politely refused and asked what crime I had committed.. they could not produce a crime only attitudes and intimidation. They were "responding to a call" and "investigating the area from an incident earlier in the evening"... I was still confused what that had to do with me.. needless to say, they intimidated me enough to infringe on my rights.. I produced my identification.. the sgt. threatened me due to my being in the military which was comical to me, I asked him to go ahead. I called the watch commander and made a complaint, to which I have heard nothing back about.

The police force in Oxnard is a sorry state of affairs. They don't confront crime or parking violations or problems within the city, but they will confront non-issues and harass innocent people to kill time. There was a car blocking an alley, they came three hours after the fact stared and drove off. They are rude, not helpful and honestly disrespectful. Sad they even call themselves the police because they are doing no protecting and no service to the community. I could make so many situations and times they fail but I am sure they know that they are worthless.

Thank you for helping our hometown with fighting these fires and protecting us.
Filled with courage and bravery - overcoming life threatening obstacles to save lives, homes, structures and landscape. Thank you so much for all that you have done for Ventura county!
Some people don't believe in heroes - then they haven't met the Ventura Police department!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Antonella A.Oxnard, CA02713Nov 23, 2021
Got pulled over for "being on my phone" when the dude next to me WAS TEXTING AND DRIVING. Officer M. Perez was not courteous what so ever , didn't give me an opportunity to prove that I have a valid insurance , said I should carry a "physical one" because of covid when clearly there's a reason why it's digital. He violated my rights in a sense of not letting me speak, trying rushing me so he can get his ticket number for the month & he also wasn't wearing a mask and not 6ft away from my car. It's county mandated. WEAR A MASK. I have never had a good experience with OPD. Very unprofessional all the time. I prefer CPD & VPD over Oxnard any day and I'm a native.

The worst of the worst. I don't even live in this city but I commute to Oxnard daily for work. I honestly regret taking the position out here because I never thought I would say this but the police out here are far worse than those from the LAPD, that should tell you something. My story here is I work for a retail store where we get quite a bit of theft and we used to call the police to assist us but they aren't any help. They never catch anyone because by the time they arrive 2 hours have passed. Like what kind of bs is that? They are lazy. We get license plate numbers, video footage and nothing is done. But boy do they love to give out those speeding tickets like they are Oprah. Thank you for your fantastic service officers of the law!

We had a minor situation that a neighbor suggested I call the police about so I did and an Officer came out, took a report, and was kind and professional. 34 years in LA and I know it's different down there but that just wouldn't have happened. Thank you Oxnard P.D.
