One World has been one of my favorite Asian markets! It's small and easy to navigate. The employees are always super friendly. The variety is good. It's also great how they always have onigiri in the fridge case to grab and go. They also have sushi to go as well as other snacks. At the checkout counter you can also order hot meals. Once I went with a friend and was informed that the kitchen was closed for a short time (2:00-3:00). It was unfortunate timing for us since we were looking to get a late lunch. But the onigiri were prefect to grab instead. There's also a nice seating area available to sit and eat.
I always stock up on some of my favorite snacks there. They also have other little trinkets that are the cutest! There's also a large wall of 'the crème shop' and 'ISEHAN Kiss Me' makeup products! So no need to necessarily order online anymore!
They also offer custom party tray orders and sushi orders which is nice. I hope to be able to utilize that soon.
Overall I always find something new and/or yummy here! It's a staple Asian market that I know will always be reliable. A tried and true!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dec 19, 2023
What a cool place! I've heard about it but I've just not had the chance to visit until recently, I'm glad I did, the staff is very friendly, you can see order from the kitchen or you can get items off the shelf.
Not only do they sell food, they sell different household items and beauty products.
I decided on some delicious fresh sushi, as well as a salmon hand roll.
I stat in the food court area and finished everything! It was all delicious! Can't wait to go back!Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2024
Wow how have I never been here? I am a fan of international grocery stores & heard about this one from a colleague just last Friday. I was hungry for nigiri so looked up somewhere good to go and found that this was also one of the top places for nigiri/sushi! And the reviews were spot on. The nigiri tasted quite fresh, the Takoyaki had nice flavor, and the sushi was simple but refreshing. I didn't spend much time looking through the store itself but from what I saw, there was a lot of great finds that I haven't seen in other international grocery stores. I was a little confused on how to order things at the restaurant side so I just got these to go from the fridge, but next time I'll inquire and eat in!

My favorite sushi in Indy. Salmon nigiri specifically is elite. We've had a couple strange instances with their customer service but you can't win em all as they say! Also heads up they stop serving sushi early (5 or 6pm)

Lovely hidden gem Japanese market in Indy! They had a great selection of Japanese grocery items, premade lunches, and a wide sushi variety. The service staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
This was the freshest salmon sashimi I've had so far in Indiana and would definitely go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 20, 2023Updated review
2 years since my last review and things have only gotten better! They upgraded the to go fridge and always keep that sucker stocked to the brim with good stuff!! Prices have gone up a bit with inflation but nothing unreasonable. Rice is always perfect, nothing is ever old! If you order at the counter, order before you shop and try to align your wait with your adventure.
Pro-tip: Get a chirashi bowl and then top it off with some more fish and egg from the larger fridge by the freezerHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 29, 2021Previous reviewABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS PLACE! Only feedback I have for management... it should be called One *Japanese* Market. It is the "One" and only pure play "Japanese Market" in the area that is authentically owned and operated!
For an unassuming small footprint next to an REI, this place will knock your socks off. If you're familiar, its basically a Nijiya Market but independently owned and randomly off the 465 loop in the Heartland. They only stock good Japanese stuff, and everything is super easy to find. Anything from Kit Kats to Wasabi, the shelving is not overwhelming and you can literally walk the entire store in 5 minutes. They got all your key ingredients covered, and the rest you can probably get at Trader Joe's across the bridge.
This place absolutely CRUSHES it with their sushi. They use great rice, and actually know how to cook rice, which seems to be incredibly difficult task for other sushi providers in the state. Its so good that I usually order extra sets of Inari for my fridge! They sell sushi that you can prep yourself or they have a pretty amazingly priced menu with all your staples. If you want good sushi at home, make the trip!
Pro-Tip -- They stop taking sushi orders at 5:30PM during the week but they usually have a few good boxed meals in the cooler next to the counter. - Chris H.What Cheer, IA275761Sep 12, 2023
This store was somewhat difficult to find at first. It's in a maze of small strip malls near Castleton Mall. I could have used a little better signage of the area !
On the outside this looks like a very small store, but what it has on the inside makes up for it. So many items to look at when you go down the aisles. Lots of Japanese snacks and candies I hadn't seen before !
A whole section of chilled can coffees and Asian drinks too.
Since it was a first visit there it was pretty overwhelming.
They also had an area to dine or it was for drinks , I don't quite remember.
Only drawback was the store music that day was way too loud in there.
Read other reviews to get a more full view of this cool store. One of the highlights of a recent trip to Indy !Helpful 4Thanks 3Love this 8Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 20232 check-ins
This market has the best product selection. They carry the best brands. Sections include: produce, refrigerated, freezer, pantry, and other non perishables like dried noodles and snacks. They also have an eat-in area with about ten tables. You can order curry, udon, sushi, or bowls. The vegetable roll was great. The slices of avocado on the sushi were aesthetically and expertly placed, hinting at the care the sushi maker was taking in crafting perfect bites.
The employees were friendly and the kitchen turned out dishes quickly. There was plenty of parking as it is located in a shopping center.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0
