Not a good company, they don't care about their customers..They over charge for a 4 second fix to our boiler. I'm a senior citizen and they didn't care. I complained to the BBB and they ignored them. Do yourself a favor keep away from One Hour Heating and Cooling....

I had them come out to look at my mini split because it was not working very well. Tech was on time and very nice. He wanted to check for Freon leaks. His version of a leak test was looking at the connections and saying they all leak. After several phone calls he said I would be billed the we showed up fee and 400 dollars for a leak test. If everything was done that day it would be about 3,300. When asked if doing it that day was possible he said it was but did not want to do it. Who says that to a paying customer. I called the main office asking for a better quote and was never called back. So I am very sure they were trying to bill the crap out of me and cant explain their quote. So be careful with these people and guard your wallet

My landlord called to have the rod in the water heater replaced due the the strong sulpher smell. The plumber came out and spent hours "checking" everything. He said the water softner needed replaced and left without changing the rod. The water still smells very bad. I guess the 5 grand for a new softner is all he had on his mind. My landlord is elderly and it seems every time Rohrer's sends someone out, they find something else that costs thousands of dollars. It's just not right.

Will not use this service again.
The first guy I had, after he got here noticed our flame sensor wasn't working properly. So he took it upon himself and drove from York to Lancaster for a part he could have found for $6 at Tractor Supply. I am not even sure he even looked any further into anything else. Instead he charged us for his drive and he didn't even fix the problem $300 later. These guys are predatory and care about getting the best bang for their buck. Will never recommend or go to them again.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Kaitlyn, we are sorry to hear of your frustration and would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. It is difficult for us to locate your call without a job number or last name. Regardless, we want to research these details and address accordingly.

I have an 1800s Victorian that desperately needed air conditioning but had never been outfitted for it and I was really concerned with keeping the historical integrity of my house as much as possible. Not to mention the price for such a big project...Robert came out and did the analysis for my house and I felt really listened to my needs and was able to help me make the best decisions possible. I was really happy with the system he designed. The service crew who came out to install (literally just a few days later) were outstanding. Zane, Coy, Jason, and Bobby were punctual and kept my house as clean as could be while they did an enormous job of working on all four stories. I really appreciated that they kept me in the loop of what was going on and where they were at on a daily basis. When everything was finished I absolutely could not believe was an outstanding job they did and that they were able to keep my house looking almost exactly like it did before. They kept the cutting of our old floors and plaster ceilings as minimal as possible and I just could not be happier with the job they did. Not to mention I am no longer dreading summer and can't wait to cool our house down when the time comes. I loved One Hour and can't recommend them enough.

This company is terrible. They came out and "fixed" my A/C. Less then 12 hours later it stopped working. They came and fixed it again and charged me again! Over $2,000!!
They claimed there were 2 separate issues. What horrible people. Don't let them steal from you!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Marc,
Thank you for sharing your frustration. We have reviewed this issue previously and discussed with you in length. This was indeed a very unfortunate situation where first a compressor failed and then a condensate pump next in close proximity. Besides our service technicians we also involved our service manager who has 20+ years of experience in the trades to review the situation. It was determined and video evidence provided that these were indeed two separate failures. We agree that this was a frustrating situation but feel confident in our final diagnosis. We are willing to discuss in more detail should you desire. - Kevin R.Lancaster, PA21Dec 27, 2021
This used to be a good company. It seems to me that when they expanded to include plumbing and electric, their HVAC service suffered. Their workers all seem like good people and are timely and respectful. I'm on my 2nd heat pump from this company and I'm amazed at how hard it is for them to fix them when there is a problem. One Hour seems more interested in selling new products than maintaining old ones.

My first encounter with One Hour Heating & AC was when it was well below zero outside and my furnace wasn't working. They were able to come promptly and remedy the issue, albeit a bit expensive, but understandable since they came on short notice and at least I had heat now. They sold me on a protection plan that would waive their base fee. The protection plan offered a free furnace and AC tune up and so I scheduled my furnace inspection and tune up with them next week. The technician arrived and after poking around for a while he came back to tell me that there was a crack in the heat exchanger and that my furnace is leaking dangerous carbon monoxide in my house and I'm at a very high risk. He attempted to show me the crack, but I couldn't see anything. The furnace is over 15 years old so it did seem reasonable that there were issues with it.
I still went out to get some more opinions and 2 different HVAC technicians confirmed that my furnace wasn't leaking CO and that they could not see any crack in the heat exchanger. The one technician even performed a combustion analysis, something that One Hour did not do and proved that my furnace was burning efficiently and not leaking out dangerous CO.
All in all, if you need emergency service, they'll be able to help you out. It'll be a bit expensive, but it'll be prompt and you'll have heat. But don't let them sell you on their protection plans.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Nik, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your frustration with your most recent service. It is our goal to provide a great customer experience regardless of the situation. It sounds like we got you taken care of on the "no heat" side but had some challenges on the safety check. Based off of only knowing your last name initial, it is difficult to research the exact scenario of what occurred but we will try to speak to it as much as we can. We perform thousands of furnace safety inspections every year. One component of the inspection is to make sure that the system is not only operating efficiently but also safely. Anytime that we notice a possible crack or leakage, it is addressed with the customer as a primary concern. Carbon Monoxide is something that we take very seriously for the health and well being of our customers and we always want to be sure that we are reviewing any potential leaks. Without having specific details, it is difficult to address exactly what happened in this situation, but it would appear that our technician had a concern about the system. We do our best to have a two-person review on CO suspicion to make sure that we are handling the concern properly. If in this case, we misdiagnosed, we apologize. We want to be safe over being sorry, but not at the expense of providing faulty information. We are more than happy to review the specifics of your call if you can provide us with a job or invoice number. Feel free to also call in to discuss the details over the phone if you prefer. Where possible, we would like to make sure that your call is handled correctly and if a mistake was made we can work to remedy it. Thank you again for your review and feedback. Have a safe and warm winter.

Had a gas leak so called one hour needed a new furnace so went over the options which there was 3 so took the middle one. We needed our electric redone so I heard the options took the middle one. They did good and efficient work. The final bill was an eye opener. Financed through Synchrony bank which I had to do but I knew I was going to get racked with interest charge. And am I ever. It will take years and years to get this paid off. 150.00 interest charge on a monthly payment come on!
