Q:
Craving Hawaiian food but trying to stay in doors as much as possible, do they offer delivery?
A:
I'm pretty sure they do. I usually do pick up but I think I've seen some food delivery decals on the doors

It was just so so in my opinion. I was taken here and told that it was "da kine". I'll give you that is pretty authentic, the price was right and the flavors were decent but the meat quality was really lacking. Very tough and gristley (if that's a word).
I had the sampler which included a spare rib, bbq beef and chicken with a pasta salad and white rice.
I would try it again, It May be better next time.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 27, 2022
I really enjoyed my meal from here, it was delicious! I ordered from a food delivery service and it came hot and fresh.
The combo entree with shrimp and chicken katsu was delicious! The shrimp is huge and fried perfectly. The mac salad is a must get. I really liked how big the portion was. I really liked their house salad as well, the addition of the pineapples made it extra delicious and had that added flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of the spam musubi, the spam tasted odd, but the bbq chicken musubi was VERY good.
Really delicious food, but can't comment on the service. Can't wait to try more of the menu.Helpful 19Thanks 0Love this 17Oh no 0 - Chris O.Garden Grove, CA03211Mar 27, 2024

Not the best Hawaiian food in town, but not bad. The steemed pork buns were more like over-microwaved pork buns, ok but chewy. The shave ice, strawberry and banana flavor was more like cherry kool-aid over crushed ice. No where near what you would get in Hawaii. But on to the main course - the Halloween BBQ chicken was tender and had a nice flavor and a generous portion. The side of macaroni salad also tasted great. The rice was just ok. Bottom line, the chicken made this a good dinner worth trying again.

This place is hit or miss. Prices have gone up a lot recently, everything is getting expensive so I can't blame them. I just can't justify the cost when half the time the food isn't on par with the price.

Placing an order on the phone was difficult in itself. I don't think the girl understands what a plate lunches. If you're selling food from Hawaii you should know what a plate lunch means.....sorry that made be rude but if you want to claim Hawaiian BBQ I think you should know a little more... when you order Saimin No matter where you go in Hawaii or even in other states and you go to LNL Hawaiian barbecue you can order a plane saimin just broth and noodles. But this place told me I had to get a meat. So obviously I had to get the chicken on the side
The menu is very basic. They are very strict when it comes to mix plates. You can't get chicken Katsu barbecue chicken and barbecue beef and one plate they don't allow more than two meats on one plate! That's definitely allowed in Hawaii!
Now for the food:
We are a shrimp bowl, a mini barbecue chicken plate and a mix plate of chicken Katsu and barbecue beef....And a bowl of saimin (noodles)
You could tell the shrimp and the shrimp bowl had been fried once already today and was just re-fry. It tasted like rubber and had absolutely no flavor.!
The barbecue chicken mini plate the chicken was so chewy the rice was not cooked in the Mac salad was so watery. Definitely not trying that again!
The chicken Katsu was OK but I had to remind the girl for the Katsu sauce. She claimed that it was in the back along with teriyaki sauce but there was no sauce but tartar sauce and hot sauce. Hawaii they don't even give you hot sauce they may give you teriyaki sauce and soy sauce but definitely not hot sauce! His beef again was chewy rice was not cooked and Mac salad was watery.
The saimin was TERRRRRIBLE! I tasted nothing but salty water. The noodles had absolutely no flavor and the broth was so salty I had to stop eating it and throw it away.
The ambience is ok...However the prices are rather costly it was almost $40 for three plates & a PLAIN a saimin! - Jamie J.Oceanside, CA1255025Sep 26, 2023
Food was great got ours to go restaurant is pretty ran down but it's more of the type of food you get to go anyway. Took about 20 minutes but Bbq was fresh and tasty!

Even though the order did take a long time (bring patience with you), the food more than made up for it! The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the chicken katsu was crispy outside and so, so tender inside. Loved the macaroni salad and katsu sauce. The bbq chicken musabi was also great! The spring rolls were ok, not great but not bad at all.
I can't give anything else but 5 stars - the wait would've made it 4, but the food was so good I had to go with 5.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alyson Lei M.San Diego, CA78387108Apr 9, 2023
I honestly feel like this place is pretty good. I get the Katsu plate and Spam Musubi. The portions are a good size, their Mac Salad is decent, and the prices are comparable to other Hawaiian joints.
The service is a hit or miss. We usually just call to pick up, but we've gone in to order to go a few times as well. Never sat down to eat here because the few times we did walk in to order they were pretty crowded.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 14, 2022
This'll be quick:
Made a huge order for a party. Was told to pay on the day of pick up.
On day of pick up, was told that because I did not put down any type of deposit, they did not do the order.
Few things:
1. Had I been told a deposit was a condition of them starting the order, then obviously I would have paid the deposit or the full price. I was expressly told to pay on the day of pick up.
2. If they had any organizational skills they could have called with a "reminder" to pay the deposit, during which time I would have identified their not having told me, but still would have time to pay and have the order made.
So, the best they could do day of was a half order of all my food. Obviously a big impediment on the day of my party.
Disorganized, unapologetic, defensive. Go somewhere else.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Brandon Q.Vista, CA032Apr 6, 2023
I got my order to go, and I arrived at the designated time but still had to wait for the food to finish cooking. There were only like two other customers in there too.
However, the food was great here! I got a mix of the chicken and beef on top of some cabbage served with macaroni salad and rice, and I ordered a spam musubi on the side. The cashier was pretty nice as well!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
