Northern Tool + Equipment

My brother-in-law got burned bad by this store. Sold a defective product, brought it back two hours later for a return or refund and was told "what am I supposed to do with it" and "we don't like to get the manufacturer involved". Attempts to reach corporate to see if this was standard practice went unanswered.

If one searches the Google reviews, one may see all the issues they have with their returns. They are a bit buried, which is why he thought it was a good place for a deal.

Go anywhere else but here. This is my only 1 star review, based on how bad my Family was treated.

I was shopping at Northern Tool on Feb 28th. When a manager started screaming at a cashier from across the store. It was intense enough I was embarrassed for the cashier and the entire situation was embarrassing and uncomfortable enough that I put down my purchases and went to Home Depot instead. This kind of unprofessional behavior will keep me and my employees away Northern Tool, and is what builds a reputation as a second class hardware supplier.

I've always been a fan of Northern Tool, and often used the catalog. So I was eager to check out the store when it opened. The location is pretty small and the selection is pretty limited. They do have a lot of gear for industry, trades, safety, hardware, etc.

Some of the stuff is pretty good, but they seem to waste a lot of space with cheap impulse purchase items.
