We could not have had a better experience with Dr. Wright at North End Pet Hospital. My cat vomits a little more frequently than might be normal. In contrast with a different vet I visited in December, who did a brief physical exam (in a back room) and then sent a vet tech out with a list of $1,500 worth of tests for everything from cancer to inflammatory bowel disease, Dr. Wright was absolutely wonderful and so reasonable. She spent at least 10 minutes just asking me about my cat, his eating habits, his anxiety level, really getting to know him. She did a physical exam and said she didn't feel any indication of certain physical traits that might suggest something serious like inflammatory bowel disease. She recommended changing his food and seeing how he reacts to that before considering any more testing. She gave us a new estimate on his age, because she thought he was younger than the Human Society estimated. She brought some EZ-Cheez in a can as a treat for him to keep him calm during the exam. She even gave us advice on harness training him. We also were shown into a room right when we got there, and waited barely five minutes for Dr. Wright to arrive. We felt so cared about and like she really took time for us. The front office staff is also very nice and professional in person and over the phone. I will absolutely be back next time we need a vet. Highly recommend.

Went there today for the first time with my cat Luna. Everyone was great all of the staff and the veterinarian. I felt very listened to and everyone was very patient with all of my questions. They were great with my kitty. Definitely found a place that I'm comfortable and will bring my animals to.

I'm thrilled we discovered this vet! After moving and trying various places, we found this amazing hospital. The entire staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Dr.Anthony Brown, who checked up on my dog, is not only knowledgeable but also attentive to all my concerns. I felt comfortable and trusted him completely. We're definitely sticking with this hospital forever!

I recently moved back to the area and established care at North End shortly after arriving since my dog is older. Dr. Brown took his time to get to know my dog and examine him, he was very kind and thorough.
A few days after establishing care my dog got in to something and became quite ill. It was late at night and the clinic was closed so I took him to an er for care. The er treated him and the records were sent to North End after his discharge. As soon as the clinic received the paperwork they called to check in on things. We followed up with Dr. Brown a few days later and, again, a great experience. My dog still wasn't interested in eating and, to my surprise, it was because he was in pain. Dr. Brown got him all squared away and he is completely recovered as if nothing ever happened.
The clinic staff is very responsive and all of them are so kind and helpful. I am so thankful for them all and the great care and support they've provided us!

Really struggled with these folks today.

We recently moved and are looking for a new vet and this company continues to allow new patients to book online and do not call or email to let you know that they are not accepting new patients.

We waited a few weeks for an appointment, with an online, written appointment confirmation, and was told, after arriving and traumatizing my cat by getting him in the car that they are not taking new patient appointments. They let me know that they called, but I have no missed calls or messages from their number, and no emails or appointment cancellations.

The only proactive recommendation was to give me a list of vets in the area with the caveat that everyone is really busy, and I might need to wait several hours at a same day clinic, so good luck, and refused to speak to me anymore waving us to the door because folks were waiting in line behind us.

While I appreciate the shortage of veterinary services, as a primary care medical provider myself, this is a waste of everyone's time and resources and my poor little guy is going to have to keep waiting, likely ill, until I can get him in someplace else.

I've been trying not to clog up the emergency system as we haven't had a ton of red flags letting us know our cat needed to be seen immediately, but because we unnecessarily waited so long for primary care, we sadly may need to do that, putting extra pressure on an already strained system, and putting our little dude at higher risk for complications.

My recommendation to this practice is to update their website indicating they are not taking new patients--this is a simple way to make sure that our situation doesn't happen to anyone else. I'm sure I'll get a response back stating they will take this under consideration, but I also hope they consider and respond to the impact they are having on pet owners and emergency vet care in the area.

Appointment confirmation received at the time of booking; no call or cancellation email was received prior to the appointment

Our beloved lab, Maddie went to Dr. Brown from when she was 8 weeks old to the day she crossed the bridge at 12 yrs of age. She was very well taken care of - she had serious medical issues the last 6 yrs of her life. The staff and Dr. Brown mourned with us and showed great respect and sympathy the day she crossed over. I never forgot their kindness. They even sent a card and donated to WSU Veterinary school in Maddie's memory. We have since rescued a husky who now goes there. Highly recommend Dr. Brown!

Staff is great, Dr. Nancy Vollmer not so much. She was very Condescending, did not listen to what I said, and expected all puppies to react and behave the same, which I do not agree with. As a senior I have had a lot of experience with the sweet sensitive breed of Shelties. My puppy was terrified of her, but in the 6 days I have had her she was friendly, curious and socialized with everyone, happy to meet anyone. I said No Treats since she gets motion sick, but Dr. Vollmer continued to give her treats, even when I stated again No treats as I had only had her a short time and did not know about allergies, but knew no Turkey. Dr. Vollmer proceeded to open a drawer and take out multiple types of treats and give them again, ignoring what I said. Yes my puppy threw up on the way home. Dr. Vollmer refused to Microchip her until she was spayed at 6 mos.? as she said it was too painful without them being under anesthesia. I have always had my pets microchipped as a safety precaution, and none ever reacted in pain, including 8 wk. old kittens. I was very disappointed, frustrated and sad with Dr. Vollmer' s behavior. So many Vets have retired or closed I hoped she would be better. I will not subject my puppy to her again.

Was trying to get my dog spayed but was told dog size is an issue. The basis was that they're not equipped to do surgical procedures on big dogs. Never heard of this before but okay.

I was very unsatisfied with my previous vet and I am so happy I found North End pet hospital! They are not the cheapest vet in town (see previous statement, that vet was "inexpensive" but I was nickeled and dimed to death!) North End Pet Hospital is very thorough and knows how to take care of pets. Every appointment ends with a run down of what was found and a health check.

They took excellent care of my Lily dog her whole life (aside from the rocky start when she was a pup with another vet.) She had multiple health issues in her life, gastrointestinal problems being her worst, and they really helped us figure it out. She had many years of GI relief once we figured it out. We recently had to make the tough decision to put Lily down and they helped us through her sickness (mostly likely cancer ) and they were very gracious and gentle with her end. They even sent us a card with personal messages about our baby. They understood her, even though she was always very nervous going to visit. I could not have asked for a better vet.

I highly recommend North End Pet Hospital.

We had to bring our dog in under dire circumstances. The staff showed great compassion to him. They allowed me to come in and be with him which is what I wanted. Every person I talked to was very understanding and explained things.
      Thank you very much
