My sister and I had extremely positive experiences with these guys so this review is from both of us. I called Norfolk Plumbing after a competitor was rude (when they wanted to come mid-day for an estimate with no notice and I was at work and said it'd be 15 mins before I could get home) and never called me back the next day to reschedule after claiming they would. In contrast, these guys were professional and transparent and timely. They gave me a quote over the phone. They also went to my sister's for an estimate because they couldn't do it on the phone and were able to do the work right there for a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber!
Update: there was an issue with the adjacent bathtub not draining after they left so I called the next day(on a Saturday) and someone came out, fixed it, and didn't charge me anything. My already good experience got better!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 10, 2017Previous reviewMy sister and I had extremely positive experiences with these guys so this review is from both of us. Maybe you should tell your drivers that instead of cutting people off trying to get to work on time that they should leave a tad earlier. Not only did your driver cut me off he then decided to pull into our parking to back up and delay me from entering my parking lot.

I've used this plumbing company many times over the years, and they've always performed good, reliable work. Had them out today to do a shower faucet replacement and two sink repairs, and all were done perfectly.
I will continue to use and recommend them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Victoria M.San Francisco, CA73May 11, 2023
I had a pipe leaking into my basement & gave them a call. They said it was a toilet, so I paid $300 to reset the toilet, which was not the issue and the pipe continued to leak. A few simple checks of other faucets upstairs could have easily told them it was NOT a toilet. So $300 wasted dollars later, I had them come back again. Probably should have called someone else at that point. The guy who came back said they would need to bust out a few walls, and that his supervisor would contact me. A week later, I have not heard a peep from anyone to follow up. Water was continuing to leak into my basement, so I contacted another company who came out the next day and fixed it, without having to "bust out a few walls"...... Save yourself time & money, call someone more professional that will actually take the time to research the issue and follow up.

About 3 months ago I had Norfolk Plumbing come out and do two things: unclog my kitchen sink and fix the drippy shower faucet.
Kitchen sink: plumber snaked it out. About an hour after he left, I turned on the water to do dishes and water comes pouring out of the cabinet under the sink. The cause of the leak wasn't the plumber's fault as it had rusted through, but I was very frustrated that he hadn't run the water to check the plumbing when he completed his work. Now the sink was down for another few days until we could coordinate them coming back out. They returned to fix the rusted through pipe. Again they left and briefly afterward I found two joints leaking on the new pipes. I had to call them back out AGAIN to have them tighten/add more plumber's tape to the joints. It took a week for me to use the sink again through all this. In addition to losing 3 days of work. This is very poor workmanship. You should always check over what you have done to ensure that the work was done completely and fixed the issue. It's ridiculous that this took three trips.
The drippy shower faucet: 1 week ago the faucet started leaking worse than it did before the plumber supposedly fixed it. This time I learned how to fix it and I fixed it myself. The shower handle is better than before. It used to be hard to turn and you had to crank it so that it wouldn't leak (remember, this was after the plumber 'fixed' it). Now it turns smoothly and it stops right where it is supposed to with NO leaks. Needless to say, I won't ever use this company again (and now I know how to fix my own leaky faucets).
UPDATE 2022: Kitchen Sink - two of the pipes came apart and flooded the cabinet below. Since my experience with this company, I've learned to do my own basic plumbing. So I look at the piping and find that the gentleman who performed my initial work cut one of the pipes too short and tried to make it work. Well, it worked for a few years. But now I am fixing his work. I really can't believe I paid them for this service and I am glad I've taken the time to learn basic plumbing so I no longer have to pay for service like this.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 22, 2019Previous reviewAbout 3 months ago I had Norfolk Plumbing come out and do two things: unclog my kitchen sink and fix the drippy shower faucet.

The last time they were called to pump the basement they left over 200 gallons water for us to shop vac up. They did the same this time and used brooms that belonged to me and left them in the water. They are completely disrespectful and do sub par work!

bad day. plumbers from Tweedle Dee & Dumber came. did nothing. said "we caint go under ur house! and we the caint go upn on the roof cause we didnt bring the BIG ladder and uh its ICY too. in other words: did nothing, insisted on their service fee for doing nothing and left. thank god our next call was to Norfolk Air. john and his cohort listened, analyzed, went up on the NOT AT ALL ICY roof (for which NO ONE needs a big ladder as its a 1950s one story ranch. these guys jetted out the clog and voila! we once again had a working water/sewer system pricey but totally worth it. do yourself a favor call and ask for John. cool guy, good guy.

Today was my first experience with Norfolk Plumbing, and it was a great one. Ridge and another gentleman from the company came by to fix a leaking toilet for me. They arrived on time, worked quickly to fix the problem, cleaned up after themselves and were both very pleasant and personable. They also had a lot of patience with my dog, Bailey, who insisted on trying to "help" them.

No, no, no, no! We called these guys twice in six months because of a leak from the upstairs bathroom with a leak on the ceiling downstairs. They came out once, said they fixed the problem and charged us $150, three months later, we had to call them again for the same issue. They came out again and said the piece needed to be replaced so they charged $350 this time. Two months later, I have a huge water stain on the ceiling again and when I called desperate, to ask for some to come and fix the issue once and for all, they tried to charge me $300/hr for emergency rate. They couldn't fix it properly and then they want more money to come and look at it so they can tell me it's not the same issue again and charge me some more on top of that??
Very unprofessional and disappointing! Shame on you for not admitting it was a poor job to begin with!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
