I am purchasing a new home. NPI was recommended by my real estate agent. I was extremely impressed with Mr. Hank Shadwell. He was very professional and thorough when he did my new home inspection. He left no stone un-turned. The report he presented to me contained specific details regarding the issues he discovered, along with his recommendations. I highly recommend National Property Inspections to everyone!

I am a Real Estate Agent. Hank Shadwell of NPI Second Look Inspections inspected 2 homes back-to-back and failed to note missing insulation in both. One was missing over 600 square feet of insulation. Obviously, the new owners were not happy when they found this out and immediately contacted me. I called Hank and spoke to him about it, and he gave me excuses that were borderline preposterous. In the same conversation, Hank went from "Code doesn't require it", to an even better excuse, "The form just asks if it is present or not, not whether coverage is 100%." I don't know about you, but if my soon-to-be new home is missing 600 square feet of insulation, and I am paying you to inspect it, I expect to be told about that. Hank Shadwell clearly indicated with this response to me that his intention was to simply make me go away. I did the right thing, and I paid to replace the missing insulation for one client, and I am working on the other, since I recommended Hank Shadwell to them. He could have said, "I'm sorry, I messed up", or just sympathized in some way and accepted the error he made; but no. Agents/buyers beware.
