I have eaten here many times. Food is second to none. A bit pricey, but it's not for everyday dining. It's a place for carrying out that special someone or special occasions. It is owned I believe by the same ones that own the Galley. So don't miss out on this gem.

By far they dish out the best sushi in town (possibly in the Upstate, too!) that I've had. It is a posh place. Down side was that it didn't seem to be all too kid-friendly without a kids menu. We did my birthday there, family has kids from months old til high school, so that was a little tough on them. Otherwise it's awesome for adults or anyone who enjoys good sushi!

We live on Lake Hartwell and are regular customers. They never disappoint! We always have the last Samaria roll which used to be a special but is now on the menu full time. We also split the steak tempura and shrimp and it is plenty along with the appetizer. If you want a classic cocktail, go on Thursdays when Johnathan is the bartender. He is a fantastic mixologist and will make you something special.
Our only complaint is when sitting outside, the bushes are too high to enjoy the view of the lake and the trees need to be trimmed when coming up the walkway.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 18, 2016
We ordered two of the specials both sushi, one had steak in it I can't remember now the name but it was absolutely amazing and the best sushi I've ever eat. I got the lobster roll and it was also amazing, it was a whole lobster already cracked and ready to eat. And the tuxedo desert with whites chocolate mouse, it was amazing, it was a very light dessert which is always the best. The pics speak for themselves. For me and husband to eat it was $62 but he got two rolls, I got the lobster roll with a whole lobster and dessert so it really isn't a bad price considering what we ordered. We will definitely be coming back here soon.

Outstanding sushi at a beautiful lakeside facility. Don't need to know much more than that. 15 minutes from downtown Anderson. Precious and I sat at the sushi table and had an enjoyable evening with sushi chef RJ. He recommended the soba noodle appetizer and I was delighted with it. Had no idea what to expect. Served chilled, it was light and refreshing with a creamy sauce. I asked him to prepare something for me because I couldn't make up my mind. He presented me with a beautiful dish served in an ice bowl (see pics) that blew me away. Tasted as good as it looked.
Precious is a landlubber and ordered the filet. She was very happy with it although we did not notice any pecan flavor in the sauce it was served.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Udo D.Oxford Charter Township, MI0302May 23, 2018
My first time here. The first impression is great. Very friendly staff. At least 5 people asked me how I am doing. Got a free appetizer. Tasted very good. Just had the rainbow roll. I liked it. Moving on to beef tatki. Oh yes. Fantastic. Very refreshing taste.

This is difficult, giving Nami a bad review, because we go often, and live on Hartwell. We had reservations for 6:30 PM, Friday, September 14th, 2018. We had evacuees from Wilmington NC staying with us until Hurricane Florence departed, and it was their 12th Wedding Anniversary. They had never been in the area before.
We were seated outside, as we requested, and it was not crowded. After 25 minutes of chatting, and perusing the menu, I went back to the desk inside, and asked if they had anything else to read. After another 10 (TEN) minutes had passed (35 TOTAL MINUTES), our "waitress" Shannon arrived...seeming a bit put out that so many people had arrived inside without reservations. Everything went from bad to worse from there...took forever to get wine and glasses...appetizers arrived OK, but my "lobster and shrimp tempura" arrived before the salad it came with, and no other food was brought out for over 7 minutes. I asked Shannon to take my entree back, bring my salad, and nuke my meal for 30 seconds when everyone's meal was ready, and bring it all out together. It was another 5 or 6 minutes before the other meals were brought out. After that, I got my salad. Then I received my lobster/shrimp tempura...now cold.....I'm tired of typing...it was a horrible excuse for even average service, and for about $65 per person including tip (because we are not a$$holes) we deserved much better. I left somewhat ashamed after having recommended Nami.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Andrew P.Anderson, SC88591Jul 17, 2017
Sushi has become one of my favorite foods over the years, but unfortunately Anderson has limited options. I've eaten at Nami several times now since I moved back to Anderson a few months ago. The sushi that they have is good, but the sushi menu is quite small and there are limited choices. I could eat sushi 2 or 3 times a week, but I feel like I can only go to Nami once every few months because I get bored with their menu.
Add more rolls and get more creative with them and this is easily a 4 or 5 star place in my opinion.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sep 10, 2011
Excellent Sushi, service, and location (especially if you have a boat on Hartwell.) This place rivals any in the state - as far as I know... certainly as good as you can get in Atlanta.
Prices were great. Service was great. Food was great. Atmosphere is OK, but hey, it's on a lake!
We met the manager Pam McCraken. Nice person. The place is well managed, wait staff is trained well....
If you lake Asian - try this.
Two of us ate too much. We had:
Smoked Squid Salad with seaweed, crab, and a sesame vinaigrette.
Scallops Gratin - Sautèed scallops with a white cream sauce and broiled mozzarella.
Geisha Roll - Spicy crab, avocado, cucumber topped with seaweed salad, orange caviar and Nami sauce.
Pendleton Roll - Shrimp, cream cheese, avocado topped with seared New York Strip, spring onions and Nami sauce.
Samurai Roll - Spicy Tuna Roll panko breaded and fried topped with layers of fresh slices of spicy tuna.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Toby H.Iva, SC3275Oct 26, 2018
We have lived near Nami for 20 years now and this was our first visit to dine in. It was excellent! From the service to the steak. I thought the atmosphere was great and I regret that we have not visited sooner. We will be patronizing more often. It's great to have such a quality restaurant so close to home.
