The dude who runs the place laughed in my face when I asked about what crystals have healing properties. I don't care if he doesn't know what im going through, be a little nicer to your customers please.

Phil was moving QUICK last week when we visited this super awesome little shop.
We're from NY and shops that specialize in items like this one tend to be totally cookie cutter here.
Same crystals. Same candles. Same rocks.
Always a great experience but nothing like Mystical Treasures Emporium where I saw so many unique and interesting items.
The vibes in here were seriously immaculate.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Joshua T.Seattle, WA541613May 16, 2021
The best store I have ever been in. The vibes are IMMACULATE. The owner is very friendly and very knowledgeable. The store has anything you could need, and the prices are great. No other place compares, I can't wait to return.

Phil, the owner, is very knowledgeable and willing to share his wisdom to help others. Nice selection of products and especially nice to be able to shop in person instead of online. I highly recommend this shop!

Great store! My work (IT) takes me all over the country. I have visited metaphysical stores in many states. This is one of my favorites.
Most everything is either super reasonably priced or very low priced.
One or two things are higher than other places but I think that has to do with distance from major shipping ports or distribution hubs. Montgomery is not a center of commerce as compared to Miami, Atlanta, etc. It also depends on the city. There are a lot of items in this store that could sell for 10 or 20 times the price if you took it to New York City!
There is a LOT of stuff in that store. It is amazing how much is has grown over the years.
Great selection of crystals, incense, books, tarot decks and jewelry. Everything is laid out in a very logical order.
If you can manage it, schedule a Reiki session with the owner. He is an incredible Reiki Master. I have managed to get a couple of Reiki sessions and his hands always get so warm and I feel so relaxed. I also really like that he asks me about energetic spots that seem off to him. Usually we can figure out the cause fairly quickly.
One visit, I was hanging out for a few hours waiting before I had to get the airport to catch a plane. It was amazing watching him with customers and how he could quickly pinpoint the cause of problems and how to help them. I swear, he gives away far too much advice/readings for free. Most other stores I have been in would charge a consultation fee for what he does and often only gets "paid" the price of a candle or a few crystals. I have paid $50 for such consultations and that is in addition to the materials needed to help with a problem!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 26, 2019Previous reviewTerrific store! Phil, the owner of the store, is really terrific. He knows a good bit in many different branches of magick and various spiritual systems.
His store is packed full of all sorts of items. The book and tarot selection is one of the largest that I have run into. Lots of crystals and jewelry. Tons of incense! And he has over 200 herbs in stock.
I travel all over the country with my job and this is one of my favorite stores. The prices are comparable or better to most stores I have been in.
You can tell that he really treasures his crystals. They have been cleansed and charged with Reiki and his cleanses his store energetically all the time. He tells people he is just the caretaker of the crystals until the right people come along to give them permanent homes - and it is true!
Yes, you can find some of his stuff cheaper online. Those online stores are either selling cheap plastic from china as real crystals, or they are using drop shipping. If you don't know what that means, the online store has no inventory, no overhead to speak of except perhaps $10 to $50 a month in web hosting fees. When you order from those stores the order is filled by another company. You also cannot talk to a live person with 30+ years experience and knowledge. You cannot select the crystal that you want.
I was in the store when that Chris S. person was there. He first wanted Phil to identify a bunch of crystals he bought online from china. he got them real cheap. There is a reason he got them cheap ... they were plastic fakes. I think there were maybe three real crystals in the batch. Then he spent the next thirty minutes walking around the store claiming he could get this item or that item cheaper online. I would have kicked his queeny ass out after a few minutes. Phil had the patience of saint for about 30 minutes and then finally got fed up and told him to go shop online if he could get the stuff cheaper. Really, every minute or so he would huff and go, "I can get that cheaper elsewhere" or "I can get this cheaper on line" or "I got this cheaper at an estate sale" ... over and over. How would you react? I saw what he brought in and it was easy to tell it was fake. Fake stuff is cheap ... real quality is not. Phil doesn't hold a gun to your head and force you to buy anything. And that Chris person kept acting like he was doing Phil a favor by buy a crystal or a chime candle.
Every time that I stop in, Phil is helping someone with some problem and the only charge is the cost of the material. I have told him that he needs to start charging for his scanning, reading possible timelines, matching crystals or herbs to the person for a specific need, etc.
Another great thing about Phil - he isn't a pushy sales person. He usually says hello to everyone who comes in, gives them time to look around before intruding on them, offers advice as needed, etc. If the person is looking at an item and it is a one of a kind or no longer made he lets them know but not in a pushy way. For instance a guy was looking at the Orisha pendants and Phil said, "I saw you looking at that Oshun pendant. The artist that made them retired in 2015 and they are no longer being made. My supplier ran out of the pendants in 2016 and once this one is sold I cannot replace them. I don't want to seem like I am being pushy but if you are really drawn to this pendant I cannot guarantee it will not have sold by the next time you come in." And, he will also tell people if a pendant or item is something that is easily replaced. One time, a lady was having trouble deciding between two pendants .. one was about twice the price of the other but there were was only one left but she really was drawn to the cheaper on but there were several. Phil told her that the more expensive one was one that he could easily replace and that the cheaper one had been discontinued. She got the cheaper pendant instead. I don't know if she came back later and got the more expensive one. I have been in other stores where they would have pushed the more expensive one.
He is not your typical store owner. I have watched him talk people out of buying too many items for something they were doing ... or figuring out a cheaper way when they were short on funds.
He is constantly adding items to his inventory and even though I have been there several times, I still find stuff that has been there from my first visit that I never noticed before.
Great store! Lots of wonderful items. It is truly an emporium of magical treasures! - Chris S.Costa Mesa, CA15831Feb 3, 2018
Worst service ever. Owner encouraged me to just order online somewhere else for cheaper. What kind of business is that!? Will not be returning. And prices are ridiculous

Total awesomeness! I have known Phil for five years and always happy with him and his store. Phil is an asset to the community. Without him and Mystical Treasures, we would so be lacking. He keeps his merchandise fresh with new items and has a great selection of books. Never does he pressure customers to buy but is there to help. Thank-you for being a good friend as well as a being there for us re: business.

owner gave me the stink eye the entire time I was in there. I got bad vibes from the entire thing. I'd rather go to a big box corporate craft store to buy crystals than come back here.
