I came here with my wife for the sole reason of walking by this place on the boardwalk and seeing an epic milkshake like the one we purchased (granted it costs an arm and a leg for one). The milkshake was easily splittable by 2 people and probably could have used a 3rd or 4th person to help out which makes the price sound more reasonable.
The milkshake alone (not including all the toppings) was fairly delicious. It had a good smooth chocolatey flavor and I would have been satisfied just ordering a chocolate milkshake. All the toppings were fun to figure out how eat. A fresh waffle cone, whipped cream, brownie, etc all caused a sugar overload that I have no regrets for. Would recommend stopping here just to split a fancy milkshake with someone because where else can you find a creation like this?Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 26, 2019
My husband and I came here one afternoon to escape the sun. It was on our radar all week after we saw the crazy looking milkshakes other yelpers had posted! We were so excited to give one a try!
We decided to share as they were very large (probably enough for 4 people), and about $16 a piece. We settled on the Blackout Shake - chocolate ice cream with oreos, brownies, and fudge topped with a brownie, mini m&ms, and a choice of reeses peanut butter cups or kit kats. Of course we opted with the reeses! It was served inside a mason jar mug with a giant straw and spoon.
Oh man, was this one of the most delightful, fun desserts I have had! It was to die for. The sugary goodness forced us to take our time and consume some water between bites. If you have people to share it with, I highly recommend giving a wild shake a try.
The space itself was cute. We sat at a bar along a wall but there were also tables and a couch seating area. The business itself is more of a cafe/coffee shop as opposed to an ice cream parlor. Everything looked freshly made, even the freshly pressed waffle cone rims for each milkshake! Everything is a little pricey but pretty much falls in line with Rehoboth prices.
If we return to Rehoboth, I would not be opposed to returning here - even with 100s of other places to try.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 62526825120Oct 9, 2020
Bottom Line: Swanky decor and rich ice cream and smooth coffee.
My husband and I went to the ticky tacky boardwalk for ice cream. We stopped in Mug and Spoon because it really stood out from all of the other eateries on the boardwalk. The dark interior has a calm but swanky vibe to it and it smelled delicious. We eat got a scoop of ice cream and it was very creamy and rich probably thanks to a low water and air content. I had cake batter with sprinkles and my husband had a chocolate and peanut butter concoction.
Well, I guess we got lucky because I think we visited right before the closed for the season. I just noticed there website says they will reopen in March 2021 in a new location. I'm hoping it's not on the boardwalk! I'd love to return to try one of the crazy sundae concoctions. The pictures look amazing! Oh, and I bet the coffee is really good too!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Aug 9, 2019
Really cool spot right off the boardwalk. Love the inside and all the decor.
My girlfriend got The Beach Latte and I got the S'mores Latte. Both were good, but I liked hers a bit more.
I'd go again to try something new. Lots of cool café items on the menu + their ice cream and baked goods sounded delicious as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gabriella A.New York, NY158112200Nov 20, 2019
I was visiting Rehoboth with family and we were trying to find a cafe to grab some coffee. We stumbled upon Mug and Spoon and we are so happy we did! The menu was super unique, much more exciting then a regular cup of coffee. I got the Golden Latte, with has turmeric, spices, honey, and almond milk, which was great as I was hoping for a dairy free option. It tasted very comforting with all the warm spices and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My cousins got the cocoa blast and the military matcha (for the military matcha, $.50 is donated to a section of the military each year, so awesome!) They both said their drinks were also amazing!
Not only are the drinks super cool, but it matches the snazzy decor. Lots of wood, cool photos, lights, and comfy couches. I wish we had more time to chill out there, but next time I come I will be sure to make a pit stop here!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 1734409323Jul 30, 2019
A solid spot to sip and chill if you need a break from the Rehoboth boardwalk. As the name implies, there are both hot and cold coffee options (excellent cold brew) as well as a variety of indulgent shakes and ice cream sundaes, and an option for an affogato if you want the best of both.
An especially inviting oasis if the outdoor temperatures are scorching, and one is able to take their time with decadent frozen treats without worrying about them rapidly melting and the flavors are a touch more sophisticated and the ice cream has higher milk fat which translates to a higher price point. But hey, you're on vacation so it's a small price of admission for some a/c and and a nice spacious casual place to lounge and cool off.Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - 113411226090Jul 4, 2019
Stopped by for a morning pick me up. When I arrived a little after 8am on the 4th of July, there was a good number of people ahead of me. The line moved at a decent pace. Ordered a medium iced Homestead, which was an iced mocha with hazelnut flavoring. Pretty good...definitely gave me just the right amount of boost that I needed. I do wish the hazelnut flavor came through a little bit more, though. Could only taste a hint of it. Service was good and my drink was ready pretty quickly. Definitely will be back while I'm here...their dessert is calling my name!

This is my new favorite ice cream in Rehoboth! There are two lines when you walk in, one being for ice cream. The girl who took my order was really sweet and attentive. She asked me if I wanted it for there or to-go, and I chose to-go. For $6.99, I got a brownie sundae with the Chocolate Bomb ice cream, whipped cream, Oreo crumbles, m&ms, cookie butter, and a KitKat. It was one of the best brownie sundaes, if not *the* best, I've ever had. The brownie was fresh, perfectly fudgy, and the perfect temperature (just a smidge warm and not too hot). The ice cream itself was delicious too! I love that Mug & Spoon offers so many intriguing toppings to choose from! (There's not a limit!) Cookie Butter was new for me, and I absolutely loved it! The portion was perfect... Plenty, yet I was able to easily finish it without feeling stuffed. I can't wait to return!

This is an excellent coffee shop! I had the golden latte with Turmeric which was exceptional. They use locally roasted Brandywine beans and keep a very local feel. The staff was welcoming and efficient even with a line out the door. I ordered two drip coffees to go and the brew was not harsh or bitter. I loved it. Next time I'm getting an award winning milkshake!

Fun shakes for the kids, and excellent coffee for the big kids. It's a counter service place, then you take it to a table if you can find one. Staff is generally friendly, with some surliness thrown in here and there. Good selection of coffee drinks.
