I think the green curry is exceptional. I order it every time. I always say I'm going to change it up, but I never do. My daughter loves all the curries!

I love Thai food and wish this was better. I've given it 3 chances, and each time I and the people I was with were disappointed. Even the pad Thai - which no one should mess up, was not good.
The staff are always very courteous and the food is always ready in a reasonable time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christina J.Clovis, CA181215350Aug 3, 2022
Went to dinner here last night. No dine-in service. You have to order in the front and then request to eat your meal in the dining area. We ordered chicken skewers, curry, steamed chicken lettuce wraps, and dumplings.
The food was not good unfortunately and we took a few bites and abandoned the rest. I was most disappointed that a restaurant didn't offer dinner service and to-go only. On top of that the food was terrible.
I saw the reviews...im so confused! Was it just an off night???Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amy R.New Orleans, LA0156Jun 12, 2021
Service was fast and the pickup window was convenient. I appreciate all the covid protocols.
The Fresh Rolls were crunchy and fresh and the accompanying peanut sauce was wonderful.
The two curries we ordered were not as expected. Flavors were good but very sweet. Much sweeter than any thai food I've ever had.
Overall not what we had hoped for but would try again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris G.SoMa, San Francisco, CA017Feb 4, 2023
This is the best Thai food in The Gorge. Last time I was there it was take out only but they had their dining room open so you could eat your Togo food there. Great larb and Currie.

Montira's is exactly what you want in a Thai restaurant. The dining room is open but you order at the front window. I ordered Pad Kee Mow and the Larb. Both were very fresh and well executed. The noodles were still extremely hot and yet the vegetables were the right amount of crunch. I ordered one level below Thai hot which was perfect for me. They have a nice selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices.

The bill read $9.75 for mango sticky rice small dessert. When I enquired about it, I was told it was supposed to be $7.95!
Montira's website list the price at $6.00!
What gives???? Check your bill.
In addition, yesterday, in downtown Portland I was charged $4.25 for the same dish.
And it was as good.
In addition, their Fresh Spring Rolls were simply green leaf lettuce with the tiniest amount of noodles rolled inside, wrapped in rice paper wrapping. Usually, the roll will contain shrimp or tofu.
Not here. Lettuce only. This was served with the typical peanut sauce.
As an aside, Trader Joe's sells a nice shrimp spring roll, or tofu roll, in their deli case by the way..! Runs about 3.75.
There are no lunch specials here at Montira's. Odd. The simplest green curry runs $10 plus.
Unheard of.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Patrick H.Hermiston, OR062May 2, 2022
I got the House Curry at the recommendation of the guy who took my order and it was surprisingly good! Honestly I never really expect Thai food to be that great in smaller towns, but I love it when I am wrong! I usually get my spice level Hot but I'm travelling so I toned it down to Medium (no sense taking unnecessary gastronomical risks when one is on the road :) and it still had a nice kick to it, so kudos for that! :P

I got the House Curry, a peanut, red curry. Large serving size, excellent flavor with lots of chicken and fresh veggies. Highly recommend. Also very good spice level. I normally go for Hot, but I'm travelling so I went with Medium (to avoid any unexpected excitement in the nether regions, if you know what I mean) and the medium still had a nice kick to it! They also let me bring my dog inside in his basket which they didn't need to do, so that was very nice of them!
