This store is weird, simply because they sell cigarettes and pet stuff. Odd combination, but whatever works, I guess.
This location was highly recommended to me by the people at Wags on Coburg Road, citing they had a huge selection of cat trees. Well, they were right. My husband and I walked in to find pretty much the entire store front filled with them, going about 4 trees deep. That's definitely a large selection!
So I became that annoying customer who is super picky, making the employee move and replace like 15 of these trees while I measured and debated with my husband. My cats are big boys, like over 20 pounds big. So we had some specific ideas about what would work and what wouldn't. They have kind of unique needs being so big, and getting older too.
So after debating and checking out multiple options, we finally decided on one. It was locally made, by a single person, from the coast. Which locally made means more expensive. I feel like I spent a small fortune on the damn thing, but it's perfect. So, of course, I have to buy it.
The guy who helped us was super patient with me and trying to find the perfect option that worked best for my needs. This included my munchkins being obese, the height to fit in the house, and the color to fit in with my decor. All of which were extremely important. So it took a lot of moving and trying different trees to find exactly what I wanted.
Once we bought it, the employee was kind enough to help my husband load it into the car. I really appreciate his willingness to help.
Would I return? Yep. Between having exactly what I needed, and the employee being so helpful, I will definitely come back.Helpful 22Thanks 0Love this 28Oh no 0 - Abbie C.North Bend, OR28103Jan 18, 2023
Super sweet and knowledgeable staff. They always know how to answer my questions about what the best and healthiest food/litter is for my 2 little fur babies. 10/10 recommend just for how sweet everyone is, they always try to help you to the best of their abilities and what they have in stock!

I have been disappointed with this location, for one because it's been hit or miss with carrying the food when I need it, and now I'm not sure weather to trust the employee's or not! We were out of dog food so I sent my guy to get the fluff ball to get her food and he was picking up 2 cases of food and the employee was trying to charge him $130.00 for the 2 cases! That is 48 cans of dog food!!! There is no way it costs that much!!! It's usually around $32 or so per case!! I never have this problem at the main River rd location!!! And they always have it in stock for me!!! Some one needs to check up on their employees!!!

She is a small 3 lb Pomeranian who is 13 and is now having a hard time eating her hard food so I had to switch to the soft. I still offer her the senior mini bites which this store offers at a lower rate than the bigger stores out there. I buy the wet food in bulk which they also keep in stock and is also made in the senior. The staff is super friendly and from what I hear if they don't have it, they will try to get it in for you. The only thing I miss is years ago at the other store on River rd. they had very tiny tennis balls that came in a bin and no one seems to remember them. My Pom is picky and only likes certain ones they are 2 different colors and no not the green. Her ball needs replaced and I can't find them any where. Maybe the maker went out of business. who knows. But that doesn't detour me from shopping here because I feel like it's more down to earth and personal feeling rather than shopping at the more corporate places. They have so many things in stock for dogs, cats, and birds. I have bought many winter jackets for my Princess here as well as her Oregon Cheerleading uniform. She loves all of her clothes and wears them well. Thank you Mini Pet mart!

I have been shopping at this store for a little over two years now and have experienced very little positive customer service. I shop this store because it is closer to where I live than Petsmart. This store use to carry the brand I need. I find their prices a little on the high side, but I have consistently purchased it there. They stopped ordering the CORE "reduced fat" no grain product in the smaller size bag. I have asked them on more than one visit there if they would/could order it. I was met with a "confused" expression and no answer.
So, today I go into Pet Mart on Division avenue to purchase my dogs a
bag of CORE in the larger size bag. Was checking out at the front counter, wrote my check, had food in the cart when all of a sudden the
checker called out to Cody (co-worker or mgr)? She asked at what number do they take process checks there.. Cody said only checks that has the number 1,000 and up. I could NOT believe that interaction. The checker has checked my purchased, took my check many times when I purchased there on previous occasions. First of all, I have been banking
with the credit union I have for a little over TWO years. I have YET to reach 1,000th check. I am in the 600-800 number check range. I ALSO have protected checking IF I do not have enough money in the account, my credit union pays them anyway. I don't use enough checks each month (debit locally most of the time) to reach that 1000th number for probably two more years.
SO, for me I will be making the longer trek to Petsmart for all my pets needs rom now on. I ended up leaving the bag at the store, tore up my check (which cannot now be used for anything) and left the store. I won't be going there for any future purchases in the future even when I reach that 1,000th number. WOW; no customer service there.
AND, BTW, I am a senior citizen and do wonder how much of that had
anything to do with the disrespectful treatment that took place.
Save yourself some trouble; take your business elsewhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cindy F.Springfield, OR052Jan 9, 2016

Customer service has improved. They do have quite a bit of products, especially scratching posts. However, they aren't the best of products or posts. I often feel like most times I can't find a toy my 4 cats would actually enjoy. The scratching posts are outrageously expensive and I wish they were more carpeted.

I went into this store with some very specific questions about an issue with my dog, as well as in preparation for getting my daughter a bunny. The lady who helped me was more than knowledgable (I guess she used to be a vet tech), and gave me several options, all of which were organic, as I had requested. She walked with me through the store and was very patient, addressing all my concerns.
The only reason I did not give this place 5 stars is because of the tobacco. While I recognize it is a great business model for revenue, it gives the place a bit of a convenience store atmosphere rather than a business of expertise, which it appears to be.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
