You don't know what you got until you find something worse. And that's how I feel about NYC Transit. It's not the best in the world but it sure is one of the better ones on the east coast. And I don't only say that because I live in Boston and our transit system is appalling. I say it because I have low expectations and the MTA actually meets them.

Can I get a train or a bus that runs on time during the weekend ? Yes, actually they run pretty on schedule even when there's a delay. Not to mention that I've lived in NYC long enough to know alternate routes and usually they're really good with signage so if there's work scheduled to happen I know beforehand and can plan around it.

Thank you for the courtesy heads up. It's very much appreciated. You have never left me stranded or late for work. I've never had to walk 3 miles because you're no where in sight. I never have to worry about a bus because one is never more than 10 minutes away. Well sometime depending on the route I have to wait 15 or 20 but hey they can't all be B41s. Even though your employees strike every few years you rarely let me down and I just want to say I appreciate your service to the city. Thank you New York City Transit.

As a southerner that recently moved to the city I find MTA to be the most amazing thing on the planet. I get where I need to be in the time and manner and it costs Farless then taxis and car services which makes me super happy. The stations seem clean enough, and the operators though not always clear seem to do their jobs rather well. I have yet to be stuck on train or die. So I'll keep writing until one of the other happen. lol
