Small splash pad which is good for small children and toddlers. Conveniently located next to the park lazy 5 and it's about $6 a person now which went up from a couple years ago of course like everything else has. The only thing that we noticed that most of the water standings were not working or off so that kind of was bummer other than that it's fun for the little kids just for an hour or two. For more of a splash pad and bigger head to the North valleys splash pad it's bigger and has a lot more water attractions.

It's small but that's probably good for parents of toddlers. You can't really lose them (or they can't really lose you). The restrooms are clean, there's a drinking water fountain, and reasonably priced snacks in case you didn't come prepared with your own. $1 for a medium sized bag of chips and $2.50 for drumstick ice cream cones. I like that there's several shaded areas, including shaded benches and well-kept grassy areas. My toddlers didn't get very wet because they were kinda scared of the big splashes of water. But, it was fun for them nevertheless. I imagine this is great for early elementary kids (and adults, too).
I was expecting it to be busier for a Saturday morning, but it was reasonable when we left around 1:00 pm. I felt very safe leaving my belongings on the grass while I followed my toddlers around, and everyone was friendly.
Overall we will return! The two young teens staffing the park were friendly and helpful.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 20, 2016
We absolutely LOVE this splash park! For my "pre-swimmer" kiddos, getting to cool down on the cheap, with zero risk of drowning, is ideal for our family. Mine aren't quite ready for solo water park slide splash down landings, and this park hits the spot!
Perfectly sized and convenient to our home, you just can't beat this themed, fenced, splash pad close to Sparks! Compared to the larger sister park in the North Valleys, (which is also lovely, but much easier to lose line-of-sight of my kiddos) this park offers just the right area to splash, play, and interact with other kids and families. Add to the fact that the Spanish Springs Library Branch flanks the entrance to Lazy 5 park, a gorgeous, spacious park and picnic area, and Melio Gaspari water park is the family summer fun trifecta!
We have enjoyed this area for the past several years, and made it our destination for Father's Day fun, practically to ourselves. The often younger but friendly and kind staff that run the entrance window are great! Bonus tip: Concessions like chips, ice cream novelties and cold waters and sodas are available at the entrance window for a great price! Overall, this play spot packs a lot of value for family fun!
Shaded spaces and grassy spots are available for lounging and by reservation for groups. Friends, this is a great place...come and play with us! See you there!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Katie R.Sparks, Reno, NV1756458Jun 25, 2017
Here's the deal with little kids (Im talking 2-3 years old) and big water parks. They are the jackpot of joy for kiddos, but mom and dad end up chasing them around in the hot sun, anxiously keeping an eye out to make sure no one disappears into the wave pool, hauling around bags and tubes and drinks and everything else. The shade is always taken. There's lines everywhere. Who's idea was it to have a sand box?! It's $20+ each to get in, but younger kids are exhausted after a couple hours and they can't go on all the rides anyway... The list goes on.
Fret no more toddler parents. This park is all the fun for the toddlers, none of the stress for the grown ups. It's small enough to have an eye on your kid from a lovely shaded picnic table or shaded grass area. Nothing to climb on or fall into or drown in. Just water and fun and sunshine. You can bring in your own food. It's clean. Not too busy today (Sunday), and here's the clincher - it's $3! So when your kids wanna leave after an hour, you don't have to bargain with them to feel like you got your monies worth. THREE DOLLARS you guys!
I feel like I just leveled up in life. We will for sure be back!Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - Jennifer B.Gurnee, IL16123Aug 7, 2019
Cute little sprinkler park. We brought my almost 2 year old niece, she was overwhelmed but willing to stick ties and fingers out. There were many older kids 10+ running and spraying people which made it challenging to explore. Lots of seating.

Best $3 pp ive spent in a while. Play with the kids & soak up the sun or chill in the shade. Bring snacks because you can & because the little they have there is pricey. It really is a nice alternative to the over priced big water park. Plan on going so many more times this hot hot summer.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS WATER PARK!!! This place is such a great deal for families to come and enjoy a warm day! Our kids get so excited for summer and always want to come down to play in the water! They charge $3 per person 3 and over and cheaper for seniors! What a great deal! There is grass with trees for shade and picnic benches with covers for shade. They even have little poles in the ground where there are not trees so that families can bring umbrellas to stick in them for shade! You can bring food and drinks in for lunch and snacks. They even host birthday parties which we are seriously considering for our boys.
They have all kinds of water fun...water that spouts from the ground to water fighting horses (they shoot water out of their mouths and you can point them at others). They even have buckets that fill up with water and tip over when they are full. They have water that sprays lightly and water that spouts out. It is perfect for the unsure and the adventurous. Water is just everywhere and I think my cheeks started hurting from smiling so much! My husband and i had a blast running around with our kids in the water fun! There is a park next store with more grass to run on so if you want to take a break and go outside the water park you can. There are more picnic benches with covering for shade. Our boys run and smile and laugh, it is a super great time!
I recommend bringing water shoes. I just noticed that with kids running all over our children seemed to have the most traction (did not fall) and there toes did not get stubbed with their water shoes compared to those that did not have any on.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
