This is a space shared by Row New York and TASCA (the American Small Craft Association) I was there for the beginner sailing lessons offered by TASCA. It has space for equipment, bathrooms and a fridge, everything you need.

The renovated boathouse is host to all manner of floating craft on Flushing Meadows Lake. You'll find sailboats, rowing sculls, pedal boats, outboard motor dinghys out on the water. And then there are my favorites, the dragon boats. Each type is owned by different groups and share the use of the boathouse and the lake. TASCA offers sailing lessons, ROW New York practices on their sculls and HK Dragon Boat Festival has their weekly practices & annual festival around the lake. The boardwalk, docks and boat launches are in very well-kept renovated condition to service all the boat types. The large parking lot adjoining the boathouse provides ample parking most of the year except during the weekend of the HK Dragon Boat Festival when it fills up in the pre-dawn hours.

The lake might seem stagnant but is actually flowing from north to south with plenty of wildlife such as ducks, geese, seagulls and the occasional cormorant. There are certainly fish in the lake due to the many marine birds diving for them in the water and the fish that was hiding from them in the bottom of our dragon boat.

We come to this lake and park often. Rented one of the 6 person bikes with my wife and daughter and had a great time riding around the lake and park. Very nice place to spend the day.

Watching a friend race dragon boats and had a blast. Hang out at the boathouse for bird watching or aquatic activity. A bit off the beaten path but worth the trip. It's a lake in the middle of Queens!!

Been coming here since i was like 3, cool and unique area. Always came to either watch the dragon boat races each summer or just come to the corona park to spend some family time. Last time I came here, i rented the two-three people bike for $25/an hour. It was fun but i mean for a public place $25/hour? More people and teens would come here if the prices were a bit lower. Wanted to go kayaking but the staff said the kayaks and boats were docked due to the weather aka barely any wind -.-. Still had a nice time tho!

I love boats, lakes, urban wildlife and Flushing Meadows Corona Park - there's no way I could give this place anything less than 5 stars. This place also has a bike rental and they are open on weekends only. I also like the fact that this place is so underdiscovered.

I really wished they had more convenient entrances from the Jewel side of the park. Came here to show some support for the Dragon Boat Race. Didn't think I had to walk 2 miles to the event from where I parked. Granted there were a lot of people and I'm sure they needed to have a control parked side. Overall it's a great place to ride your bike, have BBQ gatherings, or just chillax at the fields with a book and some good music. Definitely a great place to get lost in. When you feel like you need a bit of escape of the city life.
