My boyfriend and I needed a new mattress and waltzed into Mattress Depot without really thinking we'd come out with a purchase. We thought we were just starting our search and getting an idea of what's out there. Well, we were in great hands with Ross who shared so much knowledge with us regarding what pillows are best for side vs. back sleepers, and which mattresses would be ideal based on what we wanted and found most comfortable. Ross made me feel secure and confident with what we landed on, so much so that I was ready to buy! He also gave us space to talk alone and I didn't feel any pressure to have to buy anything. If I ever needed a new mattress or knew someone who did, I'd highly recommend going here and requesting Ross to assist you.

I also love how Mattress Depot is a local business and money spent here ends up staying in the PNW vs. other companies like Mattress Firm. To me, this was icing on the cake.

We had been sleeping on our old mattress for 25 years, and our backs were killing us. With all of the kids raised, it was time to take care of ourselves. After eyeing Yelp reviews, we decided to check out the Southcenter Mattress Depot on Presidents Day weekend.

I walk with a cane and was pleased to discover I could park directly in front of the entrance. It took 6 or 8 steps from the car to the store. Sweet! Once there, Ross asked us what we wanted; what type of bed (inner spring mattress and box, king size) and what firmness (very firm, but not so firm that it doesn't move at all when you sit or lie on it.) He led us to the perfect mattress right away. It took some coaxing to persuade my dignified spouse to actually lie down on the bed, but once he did, we were both sold.

To be on the safe side, Ross also had us try out the next one in line, just a teeny bit softer, but no. The first one was it. I was so happy that I almost forgot to ask the price! It was a smallish discount, but the cost was about what I had expected to pay. Better still, we were able to get it delivered on Sunday, so it was just a short wait; I had expected it to be weeks away. He mentioned the warranty at checkout and we declined; he didn't push. Mentioned a sale on mattress covers; we had just bought one, and again, no pressure.

Once we were home, he sent me a text requesting a five star review on Yelp. I wasn't ready yet. I wanted my mattresses first, so we could see what kind of shape they were in; we've been burned in the past, with the bed we ordered for one of our kids (from a different store) being damaged during the delivery, but this time there was no problem. The night before, we moved everything out of the path where the delivery people would need to walk. We took the pictures and mirrors off the walls, picked up the dog's toys and anything else they could trip over, and that morning, we made sure to strip the bedding off our old mattress before they arrived so they could take it away. They were quick and they were polite. A big relief!

We've slept on this bed for a month now, and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this store for anyone in search of new mattresses.

The salesman was incredibly knowledgeable and I tested out three beds and settled on one and today the two delivery men came and brought my new bed and set it up quickly. Thank you Mattress Depot USA I know I'm gonna sleep wonderfully tonight.

I finally bit the bullet and went mattress shopping. First stop was MATTRESS DEPOT USA. Love supporting WA, family owned businesses! From the moment I walked in the service staff was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I decided right then and there not to shop elsewhere. I purchased a king Stearns & Foster Estate mattress and absolutely love it! I would highly recommend Mattress Depot USA to anyone shopping for a mattress! Exceptional from start to finish!

Worked with Dave who was very knowledgeable and had great customer service. I've had my mattress for over 6 months and my wife and I still love it.

Bought a bed. Went in and tested some mattresses and a frame. Thought, maybe I'll buy a nice, expensive bed because... treat yo self. Beds stay with you a long time, big investment. Also, I love sleep. Bought the bed, they came to install it... and "well these parts aren't right". No return call, no "hey, there was something off about the install" just "see ya".

Couple months pass, it starts rattling when the vibrate/massage function is used. Call and complain. Get a phone call from a pushy and insistent service company saying "we can only come 2 times in the next month, on the one day a month you have to go into the office, and in the morning on Saturday when you volunteer." I say that neither time works, but they threaten me with not coming out at all for like 2 months. So I gree to saturday, but only in the afternoon. They come by at 0900, call, don't get an answer, leave a single motor at the door and jet. I call back at 1000 hours and explain that I agreed only to the afternoon and their response is "we're not coming back without charging you 160.00"
Call and complain to the store again. "Well definitely do something about this. We'll give you a new base, or use a different agency."

Flash forward months and months. Several calls. Service agency starts texting me "send me a video of the bed". I do, but don't hear back. I text again a week later asking for an update. "What's the problem?" You can clearly hear the rattle in the video, I listen to it myself. "It rattles. And on the highest setting, no massage, only noise."

Her response, "It's a vibrating bed, it's supposed to make noise."

Call the store again, "sorry, you're going to have to pay them to come out. We literally did none of the things we said we were going to do."

Paid a guy off the internet $50 to come and look at the bed. He fixed the issue with the rattle, but he said "the mattress they sold you doesn't work well with this style of frame. That's what's causing the high setting not to work."

So.... major purchases maybe should be made somewhere that cares about customers more than just with words.

This store is ideally located in the center of Tukwila, they offer parking space and they are easy to find.
The place is clean and the mattresses are also well kept.
Our seller Ross was on point. He knew everything, responded to every question very honestly and with experience. He asked us the right questions, including those about health, to figure which mattress is the right for us. I felt comfortable with the choice we make and we feel like we made an informed decision inside our price range.
Why you shouldn't go:
You may get a greater choice in other brands like the internet ones in a different store but I really can't think of anything else.
Why you should go:
The price, the service, the education and the great service, our seller Ross made sure we were understanding and were getting deals to stay in our budget. In all, I give them 5 starts because for a small fee they will bring your new mattress and haul the old one!!!! Time to test the new mattress!!! zzzzzz

The staff here is always friendly and knowledgeable. They actually ask questions and listen to your sleep needs, then make suggestions for products. I bought beds, pillows and mattress encasements for my whole family at the Tukwila and Bellevue locations over the last 5+ years and do not regret any of my purchases. I would highly recommend!

Sam is Great! He did not pressure me to buy any mattress, yet was knowledgeable (product knowledge) of the mattress type we wanted and the one we already had. He was able to express the good positive things about getting the new selected (king size) mattress we decided on and even suggested during the point of delivery the old mattress will be taken out for free. Now, that is great customer service, excellent service and quick turn around (delivery within a week and on time). I recommend Sam the store manager, he is Awesome!
