I ordered From Marmalade for a staff breakfast event the other day. I ordered their most popular breakfast item for catering, which was scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, your choice of two types of breakfast meat and croissants. I chose bacon and chicken sausage for out non-pork eaters, and I added extra bacon, their fruit/yogurt/granola option, and two carafes of coffee that were to come with cream, sugars, cups and stirrers.

First, I will say that Gus the owner delivered himself, and he was right on time. The food was packaged very well and was warm. Gus handed me a bag of condiments which included serving utensils, butter, hot sauce and honey for some reason. What was missing was cream for the coffee! We received cups and a container of sugars and stirrers, yet no cream. Other than this, the food was well-received and everyone enjoyed. We would do it again; yet I'll have to remind them about the cream!

So I picked this place due to the pictures, and now I regretted not getting the french toast. I ordered, instead, the fried chicken and waffles, and the fried chicken at least, was underwhelming. It was almost a deep-fried cutlet of some dark meat, served on a decent-sized and fluffy waffle. The waffle redeemed this dish, but the fried chicken was really mediocre. The chicken was just overly deep fried and tough. It was extremely thin (that's what she said!) and I would estimate probably no more than a 2.5-ounce of meat. The waffle, on the other hand, was fluffy and pretty good. Service was on point, and my water and coffee was refilled constantly. Server/waitress was also attentive and nice.

Lesson learned, next time I'll concentrate on their waffles and French toast. Wait staff and everyone working there was friendly. The ambiance was warm, "breakfasty" and nice. I'll be back... every place deserves a second-chance!

Before you decide to come here and want the French toast options you see in the uploaded pics from other yelpers - they may not be available. Most are not on the menu,. They change often or run out from their daily specials.

Waiter was very soft spoken until I asked to add something to my order less than 5 minutes after placing. He said the cooks don't like to add anything afterwards and would come out separately. He was incorrect because the order came out together less than 10 min later. Very quick, but that is not a good thing since the cooks don't seem to pay attention to detail (eggs where over hard when they should have been over easy - or grills are simply way too hot).

Pancho Villa - mostly chorizo, hardly any veggies at which, sorry but only eating chorizo as a skillet isn't very appetizing. (This is where the egg mishap occurred - the cook corrected after I asked since my waiter was on the other side of the restaurant)

Espresso French Toast - definitely the winner of our meal. Was very delicious. (This is a special)

      Mayan Omelette - Flavorless.

The presentation of food was nice, but won't be returning. All that was not worth $49

When someone says "Greek Wrap", I think: lettuce, tomato, red onion, feta, olive, and a herby sort of vinegarette dressing. At Marmalade, their Greek wrap consists of chicken, tomato, red onion, feta, fries, tzaztiki, and mustard. As a vegetarian I skipped the chicken and added lettuce to the wrap instead, which was a good idea.

It was odd - tzaztiki and mustard? Fries in the wrap and as a side? but it was honestly really good. Don't ask me how or why it worked, but it did.

My partner got the biscuits and gravy, which is presented in a somewhat deconstructed manner, as individual components rather than a pile of everything covered in gravy... he said it enabled him to actually taste the distinct flavors of each element rather than it all becoming one thing.

It's odd that Marmalade has a strict "No split checks or cards" policy... I can't remember the last time I've been in a restaurant with that policy, in the city or out of it. The food is decent, not outstanding, but it's solid brunch food, albeit a bit overpriced.

This place is totally underrated, everything here is so good! It's a cozy little spot on a corner and the food it has to offer is excellent. I got the Cubano french toast - seriously some of the best french toast I have ever had! The flavors complimented each other so well, I strongly recommend it. I also order the house potatoes, the seasonings on them were so good! They're also cooked with bell peppers and scallions, so yummy. Service was quick and the people were very friendly.

This place has lots of options for vegetarian customers, as well as vegan and gluten free!

I have been here a few times for breakfast. Portions of food are decent in size. It is served quickly, hot and is pretty good. I have not had a bad dish yet. Today's visit, I decided to split my meal with a friend as neither of us wanted a lot to eat. The server notified us of a "split" fee of $1.75. We were a bit surprised of such fee, but figured the food would be served already on two separate plates, hence the fee. Despite the additional cost, the food came out on one plate. Additionally, service was off today. Server poured out coffee, but did not pour carefully and it spilled. We felt rushed although the restaurant was not busy.

Overall, I will still come here because the food is good, although a bit pricey. And, it's ok charging a fee when a service is provided, however, although nominal, this $1.75 up charge is bogus.

Until recently, I had passed this place so many times without really knowing much about it and the type of food they offered. When my friend suggested this place for brunch, I immediately looked up the menu on their website, and was impressed by their menu.

A group of 5 of us came around 11am on a Saturday morning, and were seated almost immediately after all members of our group arrived. Two things to note though: They don't accept reservations, and they don't split checks. Luckily, there is an ATM across the street inside the laundry mat, if you need cash.

To share, we had the beignets, which weren't bad, but they didn't really taste much like beignets because of how dense they were. I would skip the beignets here. My omelette on the other hand, was one of the best omelettes I've had from anywhere. I ordered the spartan omelette which was filled with spinach, olives, and other Greek themed ingredients. The omelette was also layered with a thick feta cheese sauce on the top, and the omelette was accompanied with breakfast potatoes. The service was decent here, and there would be more food items I would come back and try in the future.
