I was in the area and decided to give this place a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers are cooked to order and are customizable. They use a brioche type bun that did a good job holding up and didn't get soggy. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fries are fresh. I observed them using a fry cutting machine to make them. Btw, one order of fries goes a long way; it is enough for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. For reference, I posted a picture of 2 orders of fries. I also tasted their milkshake and it was divine. If you're looking for a good burger give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.
Service was friendly and quick.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Al H.Bethesda, MD08224Dec 23, 2023
Market Burger, in Purcellville Virginia, provides one of the best, freshest, juiciest, hamburger offerings I've had in the DMV.
A plain storefront, with maybe four or six tables, you order at the front, and they deliver your meal to your table.
I ordered the double patty burger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, pickled jalapeños, and homemade dill pickles.
Having a dairy allergy, I asked The gentleman taking my order, if my allergy could be accommodated
He said that he would make sure that there was no cheese around the burger that was being made for me, and that the bun would not be coated with butter, and that the fryers did not contain any cross contamination
To the food
The burger was cooked perfectly medium. It was uniformly cooked with a pink red center throughout with a wonderful char crust on each side of the burger from being grilled
The pickled jalapeños were outstanding. They were not overly sweet and had just the right bite. You can tell that they were homemade.
The dill pickle slices were also obviously homemade because of their delicate flavoring and smooth texture
The fries.
If you get the full order of fries, be warned that there are enough fries for two or three people.
I can assure there wasn't one fry left on my plate though.
They are shoestring fries, double fried with a very nice crisp texture. Perfectly salted and seasoned.
Just a friendly atmosphere, a great burger, outstanding toppings, and wonderful fries.
An hour drive from my home, but I assure you I will come back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 2147071793Jan 5, 2023Updated review
Over 7 years ago I gave this place 5 stars. The truth is - I could have easily given it 5 stars per year. It may very well be my favorite burger joint in the state.
Market burger delivers some of the juiciest, most delish meat creations I've ever enjoyed. The topping list goes on and on, so you can make your own burger. But the 'classics' are so good, I rarely feel the need to venture far from their 'standard'.
And don't get me started on the potato fries! Even a half order is more than enough (although I'd probably devour a full order). Occasionally I'll indulge in a shake (and they have local beer & cider) but if possible I'll avoid total gluttony.
I've seen it busy, but more often than not the line is fairly short. Part of me wants to keep it that way. Even writing this I'm debating if I should post a review; why would I want to share my favorite place?Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 8, 2015Previous reviewTwo words: Venison burger. One more word: WOW!
Market Burger often has specials but this one was extra-special. I visited in the evening when there wasn't a line and my meal was ready before I knew it.
I've read some complaints about how busy they are, and it's true. So do me a favor: don't go there. That will inevitably mean more space for me...and more venison...Sep 11, 2015Previous reviewGreat burgers; my first time I had the best curry burger I ever had. This time I went for a pork style burger, and they let me order a half-sized vs full sized set of hand cut fries.
While I love bacon, you may want to skip the bacon cream soda. Let's just say that soda might be the only exception to the rule that 'bacon goes with everything'... - Jul 15, 2023
Outstanding hamburgers, meat quality and taste were fantastic! I had the double burger with a bunch of toppings, my wife had the single with no bun. We had the sweet potato fries and the hand cut fries. Both were good, I actually enjoyed the hand cut fries the most. Brioche bun, very fresh ingredients. Highly recommended. If you're looking for an awesome hamburger, this is the place!

I don't understand how this wonderful restaurant gets less than 5 stars. The food is farm to table burgers - yeah you have to pay extra for better quality food-stop complaining. The burgers are fabulous - the Staff is always friendly and I've eaten here no less than 20 times. It costs more- if you want a cheap sh@tty burger go to McDonald's

Every Sunday, I hop on my bike and pedal from Leesburg to Purcellville. It's a routine that's incomplete without a visit to Market Burger. They serve excellent, hearty burgers with thick, juicy patties that never disappoint.
The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating, making each visit a pleasant experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, they make you feel welcome.
Market Burger has become a go-to spot for my friends and me. We appreciate the consistent quality and warm service. Recently, we tried their churros, which were indeed the best I've ever had.
Don't leave without trying their milkshakes, especially the Snickers shake. It's a sweet conclusion to a satisfying meal.
If you're in Purcellville and looking for a reliable lunch spot, Market Burger is worth a visit. It's now a tradition for my biking buddies and me to share this spot with newcomers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Paul M.Catonsville, MD15234Jun 20, 2023
The restaurant is an unassuming little shop on the Main Street. Three high tops and five tables, total. Limited menu and when they run out of burgers, it's time to close. But so worth the effort to get here. The food is locally sourced and you can taste it. Lots of options for the burger, including a black bean version for those with a meat aversion. We shared a
'mixed' order of fries- half shoestring and half sweet potato chips- all were hot, crunchy, and appropriately salted. For a 'burger joint' it was pretty well perfect. Add in fast service and friendly staff and you earned the five stars. Just wish we had more room to try the shakes. Good reason to return and see if they are as good as the burgers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tyler M.Stephens City, VA03Aug 29, 2023
Single Beef Burger Worst and greasiest burger I've ever had. Wouldn't feed it to the dog.

Burger was nice and hot. Very flavorful. Fries were good as well. Drove about a hour to try, worth the drive. Up there with holy cow and big buns.
