Malbar Vision - Omaha

Malbar has been my go to eyecare service for 20+ years. Offering professional services that include a wide range of eye tests and overtime eye health tracking is great for anyone that has vision issues.

Several convenient locations in the Omaha area; most offer plenty of parking for easy access. Store hours posted online most locations open 6 days/week with evening hours. Appointments are highly recommended.

I just wanted to update that Dr. Neal Malashock retired at the end of 2020 but the transition to Dr. Trevor Schramm has been pretty seamless. I had my annual eye exam earlier this year and got a new pair of glasses with very cute frames. The staff are pleasant and friendly. As mentioned in my previous review, I've gone here most of my adult life (since 1986!!) and will continue to do so as long as the experience is good.

Set up an eye appointed for my husband about 10 days in advance. The night before his appointment at 6:30pm he received a voicemail stating that they couldn't get him in at that time, and if he didn't call back, they would assume he was okay with showing up 30 minutes later that next day.
Good thing he got the voicemail, he showed up 30 minutes after his scheduled appointment, and still had to wait around over 30 minutes longer before telling them he needed to reschedule due to another scheduled appointment.
Even after rescheduling, at his next appointment the employee helping him find glasses gave him a huge sales pitch, and intentionally mislead him on what his insurance would actually cover for frames.

I had a great experience with Dr. Leff. She was very friendly, thorough and listened to my concerns. I was given multiple options and was not pressured into anything. I was truly appreciative that she took her time with me and made sure my prescription was perfect. I can honestly say I forgot what it was like to go through the day without squinting!

Very friendly, but maybe it's my insurance, but comparable glasses $450 vs $120 at Sam's.

I love Malbar Vision Center. I needed an eye exam because things were getting blurry so I made an appointment at Malbar off of 101st and Maple. Due to health reasons I had to reschedule a few times but the office people were very understanding. My appointment with Dr Felt went well. I was comfortable and assured he was the right doctor. He found cataracts in both eyes which explains the blurry stuff. He took charge and gave me a referral and well....the rest is history. I had both cataracts removed a week apart of each other and saw Dr Felt for the after care. For me and our family we will continue to use this business.

Decent eye service- Ilike my Dr (Malashock) and his assistant (Alaina) It gets pretty busy here in the evening so make your appt in the morning to beat the rush..I have felt confident recomending this place to my friends...

Horrible experience. Would stay away. Rude service. They are deceitful and charged me extra on top of my insurance which covers glasses and exam. Will not be returning.

i have used Malbar and been a patient of Dr. Malashock for over 25 years (as has my family) and have always been more than satisfied. The office is welcoming and the selection great, but most importantly I am confident that I'm getting the best eye care possible.
