Cute place right on Union st! I stopped in after my
Workout at basecamp and it was the perfect spot for some healthy post workout eats. The lady explained how it worked and she was really nice.
Basically it's already premade food, macros listed and you can get what you want and pay by weight. They will heat it for you if you want to dine in.
I enjoyed the steak, mashed cauliflower and roasted Brussels and a side of herbal hibiscus tea. I loved it! My favorite was the mashed cauliflower...omg so delish and healthy. Perfect Keto lunch too!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 15, 2016
Wanna eat lite on a FRYday?
You can resist it. All those bad, deep fried foods in unhealthy saturated fat were designed to make you overeat anyway. Same goes for foods laden with heavy sauces (cream) or topped with artery clogging Bacon. (MMM, bacon tho!) Be kind to your body and do it right at Lite Bite.
Portions are just the right size, calories are listed upfront and prices are surprisingly affordable. I had a very good for you, rich in vitamins and heavy in fiber lunch here. A Tuscan kale salad with chopped apples, red onions and sweet yam. For an extra feeling of fullness, protein is essential so add a side like the ground turkey stuffed in red bell pepper. SO SO GOOD.
I feel great and don't have that uncomfortable feeling that comes with overstuffing myself when I eat bad foods. If you think it's hard to eat like this everyday (it is a challenge!) at least try it once a week, ideally on a FRYday. Mondays suck already as it is anyway.Helpful 22Thanks 0Love this 24Oh no 0 - Feb 7, 2015
I work in the area and happened to forget my lunch so I decided to grab something quick to eat at Lite Bite. There was a selection of items in the display case ranging from chicken breasts, turkey meatballs, lasagnas to different salads and even cookies.
I loved that they have little cards that tell you how much calories go into a serving so you know exactly what you're consuming. They also indicate on the card how much it costs per serving or per pound. It's perfect if you're watching your weight.
I ended up ordering a serving of the spinach lasagna and asked them to warm it up for me. This spinach lasagna is made with wheat pasta in a white sauce topped with cheese. It was the perfect amount and I loved that while it was satisfying, it wasn't loaded with calories like you have gotten from other places.
I would definitely come back and order other dishes to try.
The food is not cheap, but it is good and it's perfect for people who are watching their weight.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Apr 3, 2017
Your healthy living station.
For those in the business of keeping healthy and eating right, Lite Bite is the eatery for you. Offering pre-made and pre-portioned meals to go, choice choose and pay meal options to stay, and healthy veggie smoothies, Lite Bite is great for after workout protein boosts, stocking up on healthy meals for the week, or just coming in for a quick meal when you don't have the time to make one yourself.
You'll find an excellent selection of meals covering various lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and carbs. The smoothies are a great blend of green veggies such as kale and spinach, mixed in with sweeter fruits like pinapples and bananas.
The biggest complaint is the price. Be prepared to fork over more than $12 per meal, not including drinks. The smoothies are a staggering $7, and while good, make it hard for me to justify getting them frequently.
If your wallet is full and you're looking for healthy eats, then Lite Bite has what you need.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amanda R.San Francisco, CA199117273Jun 9, 2016
I love Lite Bite!
They have a ton of healthy food options for take out or dine in.
Dishes include lemon chicken breasts, sesame chicken breasts, salmon, teriyaki salmon, tofu salad, grilled greens, vegan veggie tikka masala, roasted yams, etc.
On top of their great selection of healthy food options, their staff is super friendly which makes a place like this so warm and welcoming.
I will definitely eat here when I'm shopping in the area and want to eat healthy :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 4793344713675Apr 4, 2012
I MISS Mr. Elliptical!
I miss the way he makes me all hot and sweaty....
The way he raises my spirits when I'm feeling down....
The way he makes me feel like I can conquer the world, one bite at a time instead of one plate at a time...
Most importantly, I love how Mr. Elliptical does NOT talk back; talk about a dream guy.
Sadly, Mr. Elliptical and I are on a break. Two Fridays ago, I fell in the bathroom at John Colins and badly sprained my ankle. I can stand pain but what I can't stand is: "Cherylynn, ummm...I think you need to go shoe shopping." *Looks down at foot* https://s3-media4.ak.yelpcdn.com/photo/xVUweojQQsmhqB51x17ypg/l.jpg "My ankle is sprained! I don't have fat feet, dammit!" *POUT*
Since I can't work out, I thought to prevent gaining weight during our "break" (well, attempt not to at least), I should consume as many calories as I burn at rest (avg. 1,500 calories/day); figuratively speaking of course. This is easier said than done especially when a salad at Cheesecake Factory can be up to 1,700 calories. WTF?
Enter Lite Bite.
Lite Bite makes eating healthy EASY without sacrificing flavor. Everything on the menu has the calorie listed per a serving size including the Weight Watcher point value. Chicken Enchilada, Turkey Meatloaf, Atlantic Salmon, Prosciutto, Bleu Cheese & Fig Sandwich, and etc., take your pick, everything is under 350 calories except two salads.
The Whole Wheat Lasagna (350 Calories-$6.25) w/ Ground Turkey, Low Fat Ricotta & Low Fat Mozzarella was deliciously filling. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/3hInKoS_u0FPJMIpbITsHw?select=MwJFaYUNJyy9SIhTlQ2k9Q The noodles were al-dente, the ground turkey tender, and the chunky tomato sauce was vibrantly tangy with a touch of herbaceousness from the basil. The duo of low fat cheeses gave it a creamy richness reminiscent of the high caloric original.
If you're looking for a lighter meal, the Chicken Enchilada (230 Calories-$4.75) is a great option. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/3hInKoS_u0FPJMIpbITsHw?select=dX6lyy1ny9fQn8I4x0TT9w Lower in carbs but packed with protein from the bountiful tender shreds of seasoned chicken, the enchilada gets a nice kick from the accompanying red chili sauce.
I know I'm very clumsy but this time, it was ALL Mr. Jack Daniels' fault. Really.
OTHER NOTES:
*Entrees & sides sold by the pound or by single serving size

I only stopped in here because my best friend used to rave about it and I had just gotten my entire face waxed across the street at Bare.
This place is reminiscent of a Whole Foods salad bar except more expensive and less yummy. Their whole system is confusing, some food is weighed, some is by scoops, no real menu except for smoothies.
I got the tuna poke and the cauiliflower chickpea. I asked the guy behind the counter what goes good with the poke since I imagined having it atop something and he said the kale salad or the salmon or some other fish wtf. I do not want tuna poke on top of more fish that is insane. Thats like asking whats good with the kale salad and someone suggesting eating it with the Cesar salad. I just got a scoop of it alone instead.
Maybe I'll try the smoothies sometime but the food was meh and by the time I was in there at 5pm it looked kind of sad and old, especially the poke.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Gabriele H.San Francisco, CA4437Dec 15, 2015
