Le Rouge Bar

This place is the worst. My friend got drugged by a group of guys at Le Rouge Bar and went into coma several times. Had to rush to the hospital because of it. Overall a very stressful experience.

I didn't want to come, but did for my friends
The crowds of youngins had me frettin' in fear
But at first, I gotta admit, it wasn't the end,

I gotta say it was not as bad as such

Though to be honest my friends were reeling
Into a mid-life-crisis way too early

But if it had to come to this i'm glad
That my friends chose this place
'Cuz even though it got pretty bad
I'd say, before that, this was a kool space

And I guess for the price it was pretty damn decent
Though their bar talents lack beyond words
No smirnoff ice, no caesers, no mixology recent
And the dj blows, not worth "u should've heard"

My friends had fun and danced to the 80s
The MC was chill, but the DJ just sloppy
With some spice girls and tunes from the 70s seemed lazy
And after 11 the songs went hip-hop-y

So as the youngins poured in, in numbers a many
I took my cue to go home and headed
To grab my coat and pay my last penny
In the taxi I realized "Not as bad as I dreaded".

All in all: if you're over 30 and have a slight pang for a night out dancing to remind you of your 20s, go ahead and check this place out on a Saturday between 7pm to 11pm. Then get the hell outta there 'cuz it be crazy.

Went on a Friday night and the service was awful. I was asked for my driver's licence (ID) and credit card in order to get in and it was never returned. When I asked for it back, I was rudely told that it would only be given back to me after we had paid for a bottle ($240). Even after finding the bartender through the dark room and sticky floors, and paying with cash, I was not able to find my cards and have been trying to contact the club to get them back with no success. Staff is on a power trip and extremely disorganized.

That's once for ever place. The dirtiest place with worst service.
Unclean dirty glass which stick to your fingers even I asked for new one all the same which is gross and even you stick to the dirty ground.
Plastic glasses turned opaque from transparent.

hi i recently came to this place expecting a nice time but when i went to the bathroom there was a big family of cockroaches and they all were very nice and then one even drought me the food i had ordered but the service from the staff was awful . they should hire the roaches they were nicer

Ok I would've given this a 4 star if the security at this club weren't on a weird ass power trip. They're so fuc*in extra and I live in Toronto...thats saying a lot. From the moment we interacted with them, they just had some "holier than thou" type of attitude, which is unfortunate because they met their match, I don't take insults and attitude from anyone. Funny enough after I hit em back with that same energy they tried being nice...
Secondly, I didn't like how forceful they were with male patrons. I don't know the context behind what was happening so I don't want to weigh this too heavily but I found it so weird that there were like 5 or 6 security rushing 3 skinny dudes and knocking everyone in their way over....

Got into the club for free, I honestly have no idea how much cover is here and I didn't pay for a single drink so I have no idea on drink costs (lucky night for me)

Music is pretty good, it's the kind of music you can dance to and not just stand there awkwardly not knowing what to do. I definitely was a fan. HOWEVER, the cleanliness of this club is questionable. Don't understand why the floor was so disgusting to the point every step you took you either had toilet paper attached to your shoe or all the glasses and alcohol all over the place.. It's not my first time partying down here, so I was shocked to see how disgusting they let their club get.

Overall, if it wasn't for the lack of cleanliness and those rude af security, I would honestly give this place a 4 or 5 star. I had a great time, and I will return once I'm back in MTL

Im 30 so clubbing isn't as exciting anymore. I mainly go every few months to get hammered and get a 4 hour break from reality and responsibilities LOL ( thanks for the help Jack Daniels).

Anyways, this is the only place I go to. Super Casual and you definitely need to get a spot at Marco's bar ( the big round bar ). I always enjoy the night.

And please dont drink and drive! Be cool.

A friend and I recently found ourselves wandering around aimlessly in the area where this club is looking for a place to drink. This place had a line out the door on two different streets so it seemed like the place to be. Then as we were debating whether or not we should wait in line, a nice man came up to us and said he would bring us in right away and skip the line. Not wanting to be rude and thinking we had just totally lucked out, we went in....

This place is one of those gigantic clubs I would have enjoyed during my younger years. It might have been spring break time, but the vast majority of people there looked to be McGill undergrads. There are two floors. The music is way too loud to enjoy any conversation and both floors were completely packed, making it hard to really dance even for two people. You will get your fair share of sloppy drunks at a place like this, but overall everyone was perfectly pleasant. The music was really good at least.

This is probably a Montreal thing, but buyer beware that there is a $40 minimum for any credit card drink purchases. We paid no cover charge for entry.

I'm giving this place three stars because for what it is, it's a good place to go. If you want to go out to a huge, semi open air club and just rave, then this place is for you. I wouldn't go if you're over 25 though.

Place is okay, nothing memorable.

- Top 40s music
- Drinks were not expensive
- Crowd were mostly 20 year olds - young 30 year olds
- Gets packed
- Door policy seemed pretty strict, I was able to get in with no dramas since we had girls in the group
- Lot of drunk losers lurking around
- The top floor is pretty cool with the lightning

It was better than I expected, the cover charge was 10$ with an open bar all night for girls. The music was mainly top 40 hip hop and latin music. The only downside was that I felt like a grand ma the whole night lol, most people were 18/19 but apparently the crowd's demographics vary a lot from one week to another. I would definitely go back though!
