$12 for 6 macaroons
+positives : Sea salt caramel and vanilla macaroons were my two favorites next would be the Oreo and coconut they were good but not the favs. The flavor of the sea salt caramel is absolutely delicious, I'm also a sucker for a vanilla Bean! They were soft on the inside and perfect on the outside
I absolutely loved the fact that when I went in there one of the ladies was making the macaroons fresh and that is just amazing that is definitely a game changer for Lansing desserts let's be honest ( with the exception of Chapelure )

The chocolate macaroon that I got was really hard ,brittle and stale so it must've been sitting there for quite a bit . I'm a chocolate lover so I was so sad because I've had some pretty amazing chocolate macaroons !Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 151337837Jun 19, 2017
Macarons! Macarons! Macarons! Is there anything better? Nah, I think not. This is a small quaint little bakery that has a great variety of flavors. I purchased a box of six and they were all perfect! My favorite is the Jasmine scented cookie. Doesn't hurt that Jasmine is also my favorite flower. The macarons are a little smaller than I'm used to getting back home but the eclectic flavors make up for its lack of size. Quality over quantity, right? The feet on the cookies are perfect. Nice crunchy shell with the slightly chewy center, followed by the delicious not-too-sweet filling. I scarfed down the macarons in just a few minutes. Maybe I'll go back and get more so I can actually savor each bite this time. Hmm...

I loved loved loved their macarons and so did my co-workers!!! I bought a few for myself and some for a few special people I work with and they thought they were the perfect amount of flavor and sweetness!! I would definitely recommend them and can't wait until their Ann Arbor location opens (its closer to me)

Le Bon has the best macarons I've had in Michigan! Although they are kind of small, each bite is perfection! Not only are the macarons heavenly made, but (what I assume) the owner of the place is also very friendly and nice :)
Ps: 12 dollars for 6 macarons!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah G.Huntington Woods, MI44732789Oct 29, 2014First to Review
Come on East Lansing!!!! This store has been open for months and NO reviews??? That means that people are missing out on a delicious amazing flavor adventure.
I don't mean to toot my own horn but I kind of feel like I am a french macaron connoisseur. There is truly NOTHING like a well made macaron. The delicate crunch of the almond cookie, the flavorful taste of the interior buttercream. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. drooollllllll.
Le Bon Macaron is the cutest little shop on Grand River right next to bells. They sell macarons and macarons only. If you did not know baking a macaron is an art form. There is A LOT that goes into creating one of these delicious little cookies. Le Bon macaron does a wonderful job and are pretty much crafted exactly as they should be - not hollow, beautiful smooth exteriors, soft and chewy in the inside, and jam packed with flavors. They have a rotating menu of flavors with usually about 12-15 different kinds available. I especially enjoyed the Passion Fruit (THE BEST) and the salted caramel.
Prices are $2 a macaron which is actually cheaper then some of the other bakeries in the state.
East Lansing - you have a treasure in your community. Make sure to check them out!!! I live over an hour away and pray for work meetings in EL just so I can stock up on macarons!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jill M.East Lansing, MI448512Mar 31, 2018
Meh. Just get the frozen ones from Trader Joe's. They are cheaper and of equal quality. There really isn't anything special that sets these Macaron's apart from any other.

I adore Le Bon Macaron. I've heard mixed reviews, but here is my take on it.
Step 1: Know what a macaron is and make sure that you're willing to appreciate it as a work of art. They are (traditionally) tiny, light-as-air cookies with a unique flavor. Macarons are extremely difficult to make, so the fact that this small shop can offer a variety of flavors (all expertly made) is impressive.
Step 2: Be prepared to pay a little extra. This isn't your jumbo chocolate chunk cookie from JJ's or Costco. The macarons are $2 per cookie, with no bulk/quantity pricing. The ingredients that go into a macaron are expensive, so I understand the pricing. Part of me wishes that there was a small discount for buying a dozen (or 3 dozen, like I did) - but the other part of me gets why there isn't.
That being said: I purchased a variety of flavors for an office treat, and every single person loved the macarons and raved about them. My coworkers said they were the perfect little amount of sweetness for their afternoon pick-me-up. I went with more popular flavors: chocolate, salted caramel, and white chocolate raspberry (if I recall correctly). Keep in mind that not everyone may be a huge fan of the 'experimental' flavors like green tea, mochi, lavender, etc - so don't let a bad experience with those flavors affect your judgement of both this establishment and this cookie.
TL;DR great quality, talented friendly staff, a little pricey but worth the splurgeHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hillary A.Laingsburg, MI0155Jan 30, 2018
First found them via Instagram, I thought they were just in GR and when I realized they had a store front in East Lansing I immediately went. I first bought a box of 6 for everyone at the office, as soon as we tried them we were in love. Ended up buying a ridiculous amount for my bosses Broker Open. EVERYONE that ended up attending asked me where I got the macrons from the next day. They all truly loved them. Thinking I need to stop by and grab some for a birthday party this weekend.

I really like macarons. Like REALLY really. I'm used to the macarons of Ladureé and The Macaron Café in NYC, so I was thrilled to see a macaron shop here in EL. However, these just didn't do it for me. The ones I had here had huge air pockets when I bit into them, and pebbly tops, which were either little air bubbles or unsifted flour. I tried four different flavors, each of them had a slight coconut taste as well, no matter the flavor. I might give this place another try just for the convenience of my favorite cookie, but honestly it's not difficult to get similar results at home.

I've been to the shop in grand rapids, and came here for the first time today. It is very small compared to the once in GR, and they also don't sell coffee or croissants - just macarons. The employees were very kind and helped us decide which flavors to try out. I got the flavors coffee, honey lavender, and cassis. They were all light and chewy and very beautiful. Yes, it does seem expensive to have each one be $2, but that's pretty much the norm for macarons I've seen from other places.
