The service was ridiculously bad. Supposed to be a high-end steakhouse and our server had all the professionalism of a Denny's waitress. Brought a refill of my Diet Pepsi and filled it with Pepsi and left the 20 ounce bottle on the table. So odd. The fillet was very tough and undercooked. I requested medium and it was more like medium rare/rare. Definitely not worth the money they're charging. I've had better steak and service an Outback. My advice is skip it and go to the one of the other restaurants.

On Saturday, July 29, 2023, my wife and I had dinner at the Casino, LBV Steakhouse, at 6:00 PM. I ordered Lobster with a bowl of Onion Soup and glass of Red Wine. The next morning, Sunday, July 30, 2023, when we arrived home in Pittsburgh at 10:00 AM I experienced EXPLOSIVE DIARRHEA with stomach cramps. Several months ago I had raw Oysters at the LBV Steakhouse and had the same experience. Google explains that eating spoiled food can result in Explosive Diarrhea between 6 hours and 24 hours.

I see "customer E" responded to my review asking to forward my info. 1st of all, why isn't your name on the response and it's just 'customer e'? 2nd, I cannot contact you through here because nothing happens when I click on your name! 3rd, I don't even know who you are and you could be Jeremy for all I know which I am done with him. So you can forward me your info if this is a legit concern of yours

Who did we make them with? We aren't sure because Jeremy the manager (well he said he was the manager) said he didn't have our name down! So we had to wait an extra hour and a half to eat!!!
Our server was nice. The food, was decent, not what it used to be that's for sure. We came here for an anniversary. We used to come here all the time about 10-15 years ago. Well 1st if all, to try and get a reservation is disgusting. It's the only restaurant in 2022 that you can't make an online reservation with first of all. Then you can't call anytime except Friday or Saturday AFTER 5!! Unheard of! So 2 months ago we called and still couldn't get through, so the main line put us through to the food and beverage. We left a message saying we'd like a reservation. NO ONE EVER CALLED US BACK! Then we would call during Friday or Saturday AFTER 5 and guess what? NO ONE WOULD ANSWER THE PHONE!!! So then we kept trying cause we didn't want to drive an hour and 40 minutes for nothing, so finally after at least a dozen times, we got a person, it was an accountant!? Wth!? We were calling the number under the LBV on their website that said RESERVATIONS! So then he put us through to someone that took our reservation. Well someone isn't doing their job here because our reservation wasn't on their books when we showed up!
Our server even told us "no one can get a reservation, I'm not sure what's going on, but I'll give you my cell number and you can text me and I'll get it in for you!" Well that was nice but really? The servers are that desperate they have to offer that! So I asked our server and then another server to get the manager for us because I wanted to tell Jeremy about us leaving a message and no one ever returning a call, or why our reservation we did make was never taken!??? So it was about 45 minutes and Jeremy NEVER came to our table! But guess what, I watched Jeremy go and sit at the bar and chat it up with the bartender and then later with another guy that sat with him!! So when we left, I went up to Jeremy to ask why 2 servers told him we wanted to talk to him and he ignored us and that we saw him sitting at the bar. He laughed and said, " well they mentioned it At something to do with the reservations, and we'll, we already discussed that when you 1st got here sooooo...." OMG ARE YPU KIDDING ME!? That is your answer!? He literally admitted to ignoring us. Then he went on to say a lot of stuff I think the owners should know about. When I questioned him why he didn't return our message He then said things about 'ya know I have 3 kids and don't have time..." I could not believe the way we were talked to, treated, I couldn't believe half the things coming out of his mouth. I told him if I owned this place he'd be fired in a heart beat. He laughed and said he's been there 18 years. They must be desperate. He literally isn't taken reservations on purpose, and he's probably not hiring anyone cause he himself doesn't want to work more then Friday & Saturday cause he takes care of his kids. I won't be going back till they hire a good manager that isn't pulling the wool over the owners eyes and then treating customers like crap!!! Posting the pic of him at the bar, but I have full video of our conversation if owners are interested - 156254899Sep 15, 2020
We were hoping to get the casino buffet but they closed early at 8pm, likely due to covid (even on a Saturday night). So we decided to try this place after walking by. We were seated right away. They brought complimentary bread and butter and waters to our table then we ordered some cocktails ($9 and up). The cocktails were pleasantly strong but not overdone. The bread was warm and delicious! I really enjoyed the atmosphere which was dim and plenty of private space between spacious booths. I ordered the appetizer scallops as an entree with a side of barbecued asparagus. The scallops were melt in your mouth delicious with a sauce similar to hollandaise sauce on them which was amazing! The asparagus was plentiful and made just right. My guy ordered the strip steak (I believe) and potatoes. I had to finish his steak for him but he had it made Pittsburgh medium and it was perfect! Highly recommend this restaurant. Our waitress wasn't super attentive but it didn't effect our visit. Thanks for the delicious night.

My husband and I ate dinner here while staying in the Mountaineer resort.
Reservations were required (per the website), however, the place wasn't crowded. You check-in outside the restaurant and are escorted in to be seated. We were seated immediately.
The atmosphere was very romantic and relaxing. The lights were dim, there was soft music playing in the background and the decor was black tables/booths decorated in red accents.
Our waiter was friendly but not as timely but he did a good job. We were brought bread and oil and spices to dip it in.
It didn't take too long for the food to arrive and boy did it look great!! I ordered lamb chops Oscar styles and a side of lobster Mac and cheese. My husband ordered a filet and Truffle Dauphinois Potatoes.
The food tasted absolutely amazing. The crab meat on top of the chops was the best I ever tasted. The lamb chops were made to perfection. The asparagus just fit right in. The lobster Mac and cheese put Walmarts box stuff to shame. My husband loved his meal also. His potatoe looked amazing.
We talked about driving the hour and half in the future just to eat there again. Kudos to the chef!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 4, 2019
After a long week of work, we treated ourselves to a nice meal at LBV. Welcomed to the restaurant by a little tickling of the ivories (piano for the non-musical). The wait staff was very friendly and quick to answer any questions we had. The specials sounded delish...but I went with the filled with mushrooms and risotto. Hubby got the ribeye with peppercorn sauce. Both steaks were done just right and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. We started with the calamari and a bottle of Shiraz...both were just great. Looking back, we probably could have done without the app (since we took home food), but we couldn't resist. We would definitely be interested in going again.

We dined here last night, and I can't remember having a better steakhouse experience. Jake the waiter did an excellent job taking care of us, and had some great recommendations for food and drink. Namely, the ribeye steak and filet, and the House Merlot. The Merlot is produced by the owner of the casino estate style. It's reasonably priced and very good quality. The steaks here are priced fairly, aged well and cooked to perfection. Also, be sure to get the garlic toast. It's the lightest, crispiest, garlicky thing you'll ever encounter. GET THE CRABCAKES. They're sublime.
LBV has been consistently provided great quality food and drinks, along with excellent service in a comfortable setting, all at a very reasonable price point. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Andy G.Altoona, PA01113Apr 18, 2019
Five star price. Four star food. We had a large party so we got to try multiple appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Very good food but expected more for the price. Crab bisque and French onion were great. Tuna, sea bass, and veal were solid entrees. The chocolate cake and crème brûlée were above average. The mixed drinks were good too. Great service and setting.

This is one of my top 5 steakhouses. There are also plenty of other dishes to choose from with competitive prices. The servers are all trained well and to you will begin your meal with a bread basket that has this amazing garlic bread . I recommend the ordering the surf and turf and follow it up with some dessert.
