Q:
What happen to the Musubi? The size has gotten smaller... I came here 'cause the portion was a decent size now it's half of what it used to be... very disappointed.
A:
Most of our customers ask for musubi with easy rice and it is approx. 2 oz of rice less than before. Please ask for extra rice next time when you visit our location. We will be more than happy to comply… more

It got the job done. I am no longer hungry, but I can't say I particularly enjoyed it. I wouldn't drive across town for this experience. It was mainly fuel.
I got the Hawaiian Plate ($17.50), which included Kalua Pork and Lau Lau (butterfish & fatty pork cooked in 2 different types of leaves, like a fish/pork tamale without the masa), plus white rice and macaroni salad. I also ordered a Spam Musubi ($2.50). Total came out to around $23 w/ tip included.
The best word I can use to describe the overall flavor of everything was "old." It just didn't taste freshly made. Like it had been sitting in a slow cooker or heating tray too long. It wasn't bright and refreshing. Just tasted like yesterday's news.
There were unique menu items on there. I mean, how often do you see Lau Lau on the menu in southern California? But, the food flavor and quality wasn't the best.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Janelle H.Long Beach, CA01Apr 2, 2024
Crystal and Andrea are awesome working in this restaurant I enjpyed talking to them and they were just a breath of fresh air they were so happy and helpful. They are definitely a asset to this rest
aurant. I would come back here to eat even if the food was not up to par. But with that being said I'm sure that even of the food was just ok the two girls working with those great attitudes would make the food taste bomb! Keep up the great
attitudes and hope you two don't changeHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 81264360Oct 30, 2023
We had high hopes this place would be somewhat authentic, far from it.
It was like eating at Ono or L&L.
The sauce given for the kalbi was in gel form and brown, bleck.
My kalua pork was drowing in bbq sauce on the hawaiin roll sliders but had a good flavor.
French fries were fresh but unsalted.
Mac salad was blah. Where's the shredded carrots, apple cider vinegar, tuna?
Customer service was good.
This place has so much potential.
Would we return?
Nope, not for $48 of mediocre "Hawaiin" fare. Always room for improvement.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Alex F.Long Beach, CA3949810Apr 12, 2024
Service is fast. I usually like to call in before I go. Food is ok, but plenty! In the college town part of Long Beach so beware if you have an aversion of "children". Simple seating is available. You buss your own tray when done. Fountain and specialty can drinks are available for purchase.

CRYSTAL AND ANDERA WERE COOL SHOUT OF THEM. The food was fine I enjoyed it. I ate the BBQ mix plate I just wish there was sauce on the chicken and the beef. The short rib was fire tho. Okay the Mac Salad was good but for some reason I wished there was pepper on it as well. It was good for my craving and the workers were so nice and helpful.

Food is okay but never have I seen such bad and ignorant workers . Very rude and feel bad because someone was yelling at the cook

This place is small and has a total of 5-7 tables inside I believe. It's not super packed the few times I've gone, and so you're likely to get a seat in here.
I ordered the chicken katsu and curry with rice. I've had Japanese curry and so I assumed that is how it's going to taste. Do not get this! The chicken katsu is ok. I don't know why but it tasted like a gian chicken nugget for some reason. The curry has no salt. It was just a strong curry seasoning flavor, but it's like they didn't add anything else. It was gross. I couldn't eat it. Don't recommend. I've tried their loco moco which is good. But just don't get the curry.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 3 - Tai T.Perris, CA6016678Feb 8, 2024

Mainly leaving this review for the wonderful ladies working this evening. Crystal and I believe the other girls name started with an N (tired to write the review before I forgot their names lol), were very sweet and accommodating. I've been encountering a lot of people in the customer service industry who are rude and seem to hate their job. It was refreshing to be asked how my day was going and someone actually having interest in helping me. I'm pleased with the quality of food and service. Will definitely be back.
